In the Begining...............
First the Lord made man in the Garden of Eden. Then he said to himself, "There's something he's needing.' " After casting about for a suitable pearl, He kept messing around and created a girl. Two beautiful legs, so long and so slender, Round, slim, and firm, and ever so tender. Two lovely hips to increase his desire, And rounded and firm to bring out the fire. Two lovely breasts, so full and so proud, Commanding his eyes, as he whispers aloud. Two lovely arms, just aching to bless you, And two loving hands, to soothe and caress you. Soft, cascading hair hung down over her shoulder, And two dreamy eyes, just to make him grow bolder. 'Twas made for a man, just to make his heart sing. Then he added a mouth. Ruined the whole f***ing thing.

Big NBA Trade
Atlanta needs the cap relief. As long as Brandon remains injured insurance pays 80% of Brandon's contract which then doesn't count against the cap.

Cubs/Pirates Trade
:dips*** That has to be the dumbest statement I've seen in awhile.
-
Something to think about
That is correct. This trade would make the Sox World Series contenders on paper immediately (but we all know how durable paper is ) but I think that would be enough to get Giles to waive the no trade clause.

Something to think about
Jason Kendall is no Jaime Navaro. Kendall remains one of the better offensive hitting catchers in baseball and Giles is a quality center fielder. For the remainder of the season you have a lineup that looks like this: 2B Alomar C Kendall 1B Thomas RF Ordonez CF Giles LF Everett DH Konerko/Daubach SS Valentin 3B Crede/Graffanino More than likely Everett and Colon are gone after this season and you no longer have Lee so it makes Kendall's contract a little more bearable. I think you have to bring Alomar back to play 2B since no one else is ready.

Now......
We just gave up a Ring. I wish the Royals would just fall by the wayside so we could get Beltran. I love the fact that the Sox are in 3rd, two games under .500 and we go out and get a difference maker in Alomar. Yet on the other side of town, the Cubs have been in 1st place most of the season and they go out and trade for Jose Hernandez. LMFAO!!

The Roberto Alomar Fuck Yes Thread
Hey Ugly! Believe I'm a Sox fan now? When you look at how the Sox pitching prospects have turned out, I think the reward here is greater than the risk.

The Roberto Alomar Fuck Yes Thread
DUde we are getting a potential stud 2B for what will amount to be a future lefty set up man out of the pen. Its a great risk. Especially since the Mets are picking up the tab for the rest of the season. Alomar joins Brother in ChiTown!

Did you see this in the press?
At Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington DC recently the sergeant Major of the Army, Jack Tilley, was with a group of people visiting the wounded soldiers. He saw a Special Forces soldier who had lost his right hand and suffered severe wounds of his face and side of his body. The SMA wanted to honor him and show him respect without offending, but what can you say or do in such a situation that will encourage and uplift? How do you shake the right hand of a soldier who has none? He decided to act as though the hand was not missing and gripped the soldier's wrist while speaking words of comfort and encouragement to him. But there was another man in that group of visitors who had even brought his wife with him to visit the wounded who knew exactly what to do. This man reverently took the soldiers stump of a hand in both of his hands, bowed at the bedside and prayed for him. When he finished the prayer he stood up, bent over the soldier and kissed him on the head and told him that he loved him. What a powerful expression of love for one of our wounded heroes! What kind of a man would kneel in such humility and submission? It was the wounded man's Commander-in-Chief, George W. Bush; a true leader. This story was told by the SMA at a Soldiers Breakfast held at Red Arsenal, AL, and recorded by Chaplain James Henderson, stationed there. Pass it on...the press won't.
