no way in hell beane is stupid enough to give us hudson and byrnes for lee and prospects. the only way this happens is if we give up some ridiculous package, something like anderson, Bmac, and lee for those two. and that would be dumb. I just dont understand why you seem to think that beane will trade byrnes? hes relatively young, cheap and the exact kind of player beane likes. and if he wanted a power hitter im sure he could get one straight up for any of the big three, i.e. posada for any of the three, maybe vernon wells for any of the three, probably PK for any of the three, etc.

this deal would be awesome for us. IMO, hudsons ERA would like 2.5 here since he is a major sinkerballer! and i would MUCH rather trade PK than lee. gload will be more than an adequete fit at 1b. sign vizquel and a BP guy and weve got a solid offseason. although i am getting a bit ahead of myself since the deal hasnt happened yet!
