is that we are done this offseason as far as getting a #2 pitcher and doing anyother kind of big trades or signings. With the sox in negotiations with ritchie and with the young good talent in rauch, etc. I think kw is going to take his chances on who he has. With the sox not really adding any more money to the payroll (which makes Jr happy) the sox will stay put and try to win with who they have. We put up a great run at the end of the season and we did the same in 99 and in 2000 we won the division with the same people. So I really don't expect alot of anything as far as some little stuff.

From what I have been hearing, that tatis was apart of the deal also. Which in fact would probably knock us out of the race unless we take somebody else in his place like colon and vidro? ya right not in our lifetime.

garland is legit yes, but they will want alot more then just garland and some minor leagers to give up. Who ever we would give up we would probably have to eat some money on top of it, but remember the Yanks are in the hunt. and what they hunt.... they capture.

Well I can tell you when thing... the Giants really like the white sox players. First the white flag trade, then they sign durham now they want konerko. That is really nice yep we willl see them in the playoffs this year again.

I don;'t know what they would do maybe Liefer to first?

Ya, billy has been around for what 3 weeks and he is already starting some trouble.. my kind of guy. He if you are right about konerko, that would mean PK started talking in the clubhouse about Frank and well then he is gone and the Koch opens his mouth and well he will be gone in the near future also. hahaha

You bring up a good point hsc, kw will go out on the limb and take chances, but the sad thing is almost all of his chances have been busts, I hope the Koch trade isn't because I have always liked Billy, I think he is a great pickup for us.

Sure we would be set, but remember what team your a fan of the sox, not the yankees. We will never have that kind of ambition to get things done like that.

So if pk is gone, our first baseman would be who FRANK? Hey he said he wanted to play the field more. My asssumption would be Liefer?

Hey hotsoxchick, I was reading some of the posts from when the Koch trade was going to be announced.. Have you heard anything about this trade that would be of interest?

Ortiz will be a nice pick up, but I can;t see giving up Pk for him. I can part with CLEE and also Liefer because he can play first base, heck give them biddle. I really don;t see him having a future in the rotation if they make this deal or even in the bull pen. that is pretty much set. The object for the giants is to lower the payroll, and with them aquiring PK they would be raising payroll, the only way it would lower is if the sox paid some of konerko's salary (which I don';t think is going to happen because of our cheap ways) and the other is to give up LEe. I will be very pissed off if kw gives up PK, this will go down as when of the dumbest trades ever. But I have faith Kenny will do the right thing. Ortiz for Lee is perfect, Heck he has averaged 15 wins over the last 4 seasons he would be great at #2 in our rotation.
