i liked daubach, he was not that bad. It is hard for a guy that was used to playing alomost every game to go to a team that uses him off the bench and for an occcasional start to do well. What i don;t understand is what are the sox going to do if konerko is traded who will play first base? I was planning on havind daubach be the first baseman full time if konerko was traded. does this mean konerko is going to stay?

Hey what about this as a suggestion for kenny. We all know that montreal has let vlad g. go by not giving him arbitration. They also traded away vazquez. Which means that they really don't have a big name player on their team if you don;'t consider vidro a big name player. What if we trade maggs (14 mil) and willie harris (700,000 i think) and Danny Wright (850,000 i think) to the expos for vidro (8 mil) and livian hernandez(6 mil) and some c level prospects. This gives the expos their big name player to replave vlad and willie harris at 2nd next to nick johnson. Danny wright will take Livian's spot in the rotation. Maybe danny and a change of scenery will do him good. Montreal really isn;'t adding any payroll because it is almost like a swap. For the sox this would be great, we would be filling a huge hole at second base, and also filling a hole in our rotation. What do you guys think?

Well, I only hope that trade for kevin brown will happen but what about the dodgers? they all ready have a short stop izitrous or whatever his name is allready the starter. Where would valentin play, I am assuming that izitrous would have to be involved in this also. With that trade and the sox and dodgers practicly swaping players becaues the money is almost the same give or take a few dollars. and with the slight hope of bartolo signing with us as a last resort. Our rotation would be one of the best in the majors with 1.Loaiza, Colon, Brown, Buerhle, and garland as our starters. HEck it is ok to dream right?

your right tony, i feel sorry for kenny also. It isn't his fault he has to put a competitive team out there with such a limited amount he can spend. The problem is Jerry needs to sell this fricken team to some one that will spend some money to get us where we need to be. Kenny williams is the right man for the gm he knows how to get players here and the only prob is he has little or no money to work with. Kenny will be creative like he always has. I believe that kenny lowered his offer to alomar yesterday because I think colon will be here. Lets hope!

Good i hope that is true for the marlins. they are my favorite national league team. With no hopes of the sox getting pudge i hope he signs back with the club so they can kick the cubs ass next year again.

Your right chisox I think the sox will add 2 quality pitchers because kw will free up some payroll with some trades, i see them keeping clee and valentin but i do see them dumping magglio possibly for percival and a top prospect. Konerko could go to really anyone that will take his salary for a decent player and some prospects also. Koch will be dealt but the sox might have to eat some of his 6.5 mil salary maybe say 2 mil or so. With that money what maggs makes 14.2. konerko 8.5 and koch 4.5 (counting the 2 mil the sox will pay) and with the aquesition of percival i think 4 mil and say a decent player say 2 mil the sox will have say roughly 20 mil saved to spend on some people. I see 2 pitchers maybe escobar 6 mil and ponson 8 maybe that leaves about 6 mil left give or take. well the chance of this happening is very slim but hey you can dream right?

I still believe COLON WILL BE A WHITE SOX NEXT YEAR! I am keeping my confidence that this will happen. I heard on the score that most of his 36 mil was deffered something like 4 mil a year. That is alot of money to have deffered to where you don;t get that money for years to come. If i was bartolo, i would want all my money up front. I think kenny isn't through with this situation yet, there will be more offers from the sox. If they lose colon, this will put a whole lot more pressure on the sox and especially williams, heck he allready has the pressure of going and getting the right manager for the job and him loseing his best pitcher and the key to all the offseason moves will about kill him. Kenny will have to work his ass off as who to sign in free agents and also what moves he can make to make this team and the fans excited about next year. If colon is signed all of that comes to rest, the team and the fans will be excited. Look for colon to be signed and also i have a feeling kenny has something up his sleeve as far as getting vazquez from montreal. (just a feeling i have i was right last year when we got colon)

If they don't sign gordon.......see them signing sullivan and try the billy koch as closer role again. if not they have marte as the closer and have sully to take marte's spot. I see koch having a strong year, i still have faith in him.

I would love to see pettite in a sox uniform! I don;t think he wants to leave ny. Has he said anything? I see old georgie coughing up some money for him and also showing colon some large money also. no way pettite will be gone, but hey you never know.

I read the article that stated that he wanted 5 mil also. I really don't think the sox will give him that kind of money, especially with koch making 6.5 next year. Plus flash has stated that wherever he ends up either with the sox or someone else that he wants to be strictly the closer. With the sox i see them giving koch another shot, I am hearing that Koch has his fast ball in the mid 90's and has no arm problems at this time. I have a feeling koch is going to come back strong. If we let gordon go, we need to at least resign sully!

Ponson I would like to see here. If colon doesn't go through which i am speculating that it won;t from all these rumors out there. Sidney might be something special, he would be alot cheaper then 12 mil a year. Actually what pissess me off with the deal with colon is THIS IS SO TYPICAL OF THE SOX TO DIFFER MOST OF HIS CONTRACT! Why not pay the guy the money instead of holding it like a pension plan. No wonder he turned the offer.
