I've been meaning to mention this for some time now: you have the best Soxtalk handle bar none.
Bravo.
Thanks man.
I am expecting a White Sox to get thrown at sometime during the game. Not that El Duque has intentionally hit the batters he hit but a team gets tired of getting drilled.
He's just wild but we'll see.

WHY THE HELL IS EVERETT HITTING FOR IGUCHI INSTEAD OF TIMO!!
AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Ozzie trying to help pad Timo's stats??????????
I am a big fan of having a guy with speed batting #9. It is like having another leadoff hitter in a way. If we have slow Crede 9th, we will be clogging the basebaths at times.

NO!
He is exactly what we are trying to get away from. We can find better.
Agreed. I can't sit through a season of Boone throwing his bat away on every fly ball to the outfield either.
I would rather have Delgado than Konerko if it was a straight-up deal. (I know it won't be, but in theory, I'd do it.)
Plus, I still do not like the fact that we are going to march up 4-5 right-handed hitters in a row again this year.
Totally agree. Before we start worrying about splits and platooning people, we should get our everyday starting lineup set. Most of the time we will be facing righties and our catching position is subpar.
The worst of it was that LA developed this guy for so many years and then when he finally has a breakout year, they just let him walk. They had too much invested in him to let him go to another team for not a huge dollar difference.
Not my first chioce but I could see Lima fitting in on the team. He is definitely a fan favorite in LA. Would be at least servicable and that would be better than what we had last year.
1. Pod LF
2. Rowand CF
3. Dye RF
4. Konerko 1B
5. Everett DH
6. Pierzynski C
7. Uribe SS
8. Crede 3B
9. Harris 2B
When Frank comes back:
1. Pod LF
2. Rowand CF
3. Thomas DH
4. Konerko 1B
5. Dye RF
6. Pierzynski C
7. Uribe SS
8. Crede 3B
9. Harris 2B
I think is is important to get a left handed hitter, like Pierzynski to break up the righties in the lineup.
The fact that we signed Dye and traded for Pod when we had an outfield spot open is a vote of no-confidence for Borchard. Whatever confidence he had left should be gone now.
If you would have told me we would let Mags walk a few years ago, I would have bet it was because we had Borchard. Now we are signing Timo Perez in his should-be roster spot.
