Just heard the great news. Good work KW. A very reasonable price too. I thought he'd get more than that.

I've got that fight on video, I used to tape the Sox highlights every day, when we used to get a Fox Sports News feed over here. That was some fight. The best part was when Maggs was surrounded and tried to kick his way out of it. Robert Fick getting drinks thrown at him was pretty funny too. I treasure that 2000 season tape.

I'm surprised the US isn't bored with Ali G/Borat yet. People over here thought he was funny for a while, and then finally realised exactly what his comedy is........ s***. That's why he left the country - nobody found him funny anymore.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Jan 10, 2005 -> 06:24 PM) Since he is day to day and you did not really have a source that is why i mentioned it. OK. I'll post a source next time, Sorry.

QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jan 10, 2005 -> 04:56 PM) all we have to do is stop j rich and this is a done deal I'm 99% sure he's not playing. he's got a sprained ankle. He's missed the last 3 games with it.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 10, 2005 -> 02:34 PM) J.Rich owns the Bulls. Bulls should win, but I have a feeling Richerdson will pull a Reed on the Bulls, and become a 1 man show. J-Rich is out with an ankle injury, he's missed all of the their road trip with it. Bulls by 10.

Report: Mets, Beltran finalizing deal
Credepopsup replied to Scwible's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Good news - out of the AL and NOT to the Cubs. -
QUOTE(lvjeremylv @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 09:54 AM) Credepopsup, your user name reminded me of something I heard on SportsCenter the other night about Wade Boggs. One season (I can't remember what year), Wade only hit 5 infield popups ALL season long, and only 1 of those was in fair territory. I think Crede hits 5 infield popups each series. I'm hoping that username becomes redundant next year, when Joe "the toaster" Crede stops popping up so much.

Is Edinger done with the Bears?
Credepopsup replied to knightni's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I think he's gone, the Bears can't continue to pay that sort of money - $1.1 million next year - for a kicker who's had the kind of year he's had. -
Buehrle's my favorite player. If I had to choose an everyday player then Aaron Rowand would get my vote. I'll be rooting for Crede this year too, I think it's a big season for him.

QUOTE(dasox24 @ Jan 8, 2005 -> 05:56 PM) Can anyone tell me what our cap situation looks like this offseason? Thanks The numbers I've seen vary between $10-15million to play with, depending on what amount the cap is set at.

QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Jan 8, 2005 -> 11:52 AM) I would love for them to take Mike Williams or the best WR in the draft. However, I see Angelo trading down for two picks in the 1st round Unfortunately, I think you're going to be right about trading down. I think we'll end up with San Diego's picks.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Jan 7, 2005 -> 03:22 PM) What did he say. Not much, he's an idiot.

I gave this off season a B. I had my doubts about how well KW would be able to make the necessary adjustments to the roster to fit the "new philosophy". He's done well - the starting rotation is better, I love the bullpen, we've upgraded at catcher and aquired an outfielder who'll cause havoc on the base pads. One more signing - a reliable middle infielder and it will have been an excellent off season. There are obviously a few question marks over health and chemistry, but on paper I like this roster.

Excellent news.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jan 4, 2005 -> 04:15 PM) Please dont be Wade Wilson, hire someone with OC experience damnit. Mike Martz would be good, but I doubt he goes anywhere after making the playoffs. I've heard the name John Ramsdell linked with it. He's the quarterbacks coach at St Louis. No OC experience though.

Terry Shea: One and done as Bears OC?
Credepopsup replied to CSF's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
All sorts of rumors are flying about the Bears OC job. This is from ProFootballTalk. Fassel is another name being mentioned. One thing does look certain, Shea - he gawn. -

QUOTE(whitesox89 @ Jan 2, 2005 -> 03:43 PM) So i was right about us being 4-6 right? Yeah, the Bears are picking 5th as it stands, with a very slim chance of picking 4th. -
I've seen US, Japan, Australia and Canada's figures mentioned, so I'll post the current figures from my home country too. Government - £50 million ($95m) People's donations - £32 million ($61m) (Not sure about the dollar figures I used 1.9$ to the £) LINK TO SKY NEWS ARTICLE

Will the Bulls Make the Playoffs?
Credepopsup replied to Tjones's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
It'll be closer than I thought 2 or 3 weeks ago, but I still think they'll end up just missing out. -
Urlacher on IR, Kruetz only Bears in Pro Bowl
Credepopsup replied to WHarris1's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
There's no way Kreutz should have made the pro bowl this year. Maynard should be going. -
I say get rid of them altogether. Yours sincerely Bud Selig.
