  1. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 09:14 PM) anyone else feel like they got punched in the stomach? not really pissed, just extremely dumfounded and dissapoitned Yes! Im going to go punch my neighbor now!
  2. QUOTE(He_Gawn @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 09:11 PM) Id like to see frank bat next inning. So he can look lost at the plate?
  3. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 03:47 PM) Supposedly he has an infection from a bug bite and Timo will be patrolling rightfield tonight. It should be Carl!
  4. QUOTE(wilmot825 @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 08:53 PM) I don't think there is a way to mistake these 2 What!! They look like twins!
  5. QUOTE(MattZakrowski @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 08:58 PM) I say bench and try to trade Rowand, move Pods to center and play everett in left. It will hurt our defense, but having Everett's bat in the lineup more often can't be a bad thing. I would bench Frank,for Carl before Rowand right now.
  6. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 08:23 PM) Mark does that everytime there is a rain delay I know,I just thought it was funny he brought Willie today. I was hoping he was going to do it in Cleveland also. There were a ton of Sox fans,so it could have been like home!
  7. QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 08:19 PM) Take me on Smart guy... I'm a season ticket holder. I've seen almost all the home games...live. I sit right behind home plate in the first few rows in the upper deck. I see his defensive postioning before pitches and for every batter. I can see the WHOLE field and watch WHOLE plays develop. Something you CAN'T do watching TV. I've seen the way he backs up his teammates, takes great routes to the ball, makes the correct throw, hits the cutoff man...etc. He is a great defensive outfielder who makes great decisions. I COMPLETELY disagree with you on your "scouting report" and agree with SS2K5 that you must be drunk. Now...is there anything more you'd like to add. What about his play in this series?
  8. During the rain delay today,did anybody else catch Mark and Willie slideing on the tarp today. They both did it twice and were having a ball. I couldnt see Ozzie in the dugout. I'm sure he had no clue. Gotta love Mark!
  9. QUOTE(thelatinoheat_30 @ Jul 20, 2005 -> 08:09 PM) i guess you really don't watch the games after all. like today, he threw towards third base when he had no business doing it and threw the ball away, costing freddy a run on the play when he shoulda thrown the ball to second to keep the dp in order. last week, he did a similar thing where he shoulda thrown the ball in to second and instead tried to throw em out @ third and also backfired. both times, he had little chance to get the lead guy and both times dj pointed it out. and in this same series vs. the tigers, he threw a horrible throw to the plate when he had NO CHANCE, and the guy who got the hit took second on the throw. he has to do the fundamental things right. AND PLEASE BEFORE MAKING ANYMORE STUPID COMMENTS, WATCH A GAME OR TWO. I think that when he was throwing great in that A's series it got him kind of cocky. Bad play today,he had that guy at second. He also threw home yesterday allowing the man to go to second. He had no chance on either play. :banghead
  10. You keep Uribe! He can play 3rd 2nd ss. Bye Willie!!!!!
  11. Polish,Blue slushie in center,Corn by home. I like the nachos if the chips are not stale and the buns are now cold on the polish. Food has went downhill this year.
  12. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 07:55 PM) where's your data to back that up... Their lone win in Oakland on the last trip out west was in front of 45,000, which was more people than the other two days combined. That was one game. Data? Huh well. The Cub and A's series. Big crowds. Looked bad. Thats all the data I can think of at this second.
  13. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 07:46 PM) This concern's me come playoff time, I think the Sox would do better playing on the road, but it looks like they will get homefield advantage all the way...........If they make it I thought the same thing. They play tight in front of big crowds. :headshake
  14. Crede and Uribe are a automatic out! Ozzie should have had Crede bunt,then maybe uribe can hit a fly out and get us a run! What a joke!!
  15. Even healthy,Gload can't play the outfield!!! :banghead
  16. QUOTE(SHAFTR @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 11:42 PM) If Gload can play 1b & OF, why can't he play 3rd base? I'd imagine that he could do fine as a back up 3rd baseman. He cannot play OF! He make me cry when he is out there!
  17. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 15, 2005 -> 08:54 AM) I'm glad that Rowand, like the rest of us, figured out that Pods is an awful fielder. I guess it shows they know a lot about each other. I don't blame Pods for losing the ball in the lights, it happens. The guy just does stuff like this all the time. I can't understand how a guy with his speed can just be so bad out there. Anyway, great play by Aaron. He gets the worst jumps on balls. Carl gets better jumps. The difference is Pods has the speed to cover a lot of his mistakes! To many ball fall in front of him for base hits. I can deal with it because of his O. Lets hope A-Row will work with him.
  18. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 08:52 AM) Otherwise, f*** off NY. Well said!
  19. QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 08:41 AM) If anything is would be Pods in LF, Anderson in CF, and Rowand in RF... You forget he is signed cheap for the next few years, is a natural corner outfielder... and Dye might need to take over for Kong anyway... If Rowand is in a Sox uniform,center will be his! He has done nothing to lose it and he knows the Cell better than anyone. Plus who is better at backing up Pods on those bad jumps he gets!
