  1. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ May 23, 2011 -> 03:23 PM) How so? I see people reminded daily with things like "Oh you were so right about the ____ trade." I also see posters mock and criticize other posters just as much as they do to Ozzie or KW. The reality is that KW & OG have to actually live with their decisions. Unlike us who can second guess and change our minds all the time. It wasn't that long ago that you called Lillibridge useless and wanted him off the team and now you want to give him more playing time.
  2. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ May 23, 2011 -> 10:39 AM) I don't think Moyer is very surprising. He's been pitching for like 35 years. Yeah, but interleague has only been around since late 90's, so those first 20 years didn't help him.
  3. QUOTE (Real @ May 22, 2011 -> 02:36 PM) unreal i know he's been bad throughout his career against lefties, but something's up with him this year.. you can say that again
  4. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ May 22, 2011 -> 02:25 PM) Where can I stream the audio online? I tried 670thescore.com and it's giving me some sort of sports news thing. You can't for free.
  5. QUOTE (GREEDY @ May 22, 2011 -> 02:14 PM) Just had to get on here to say that Ozzie flat out sucks. The wind is absolutely blowing out here and he has Pierre and Vizquel in the lineup. A missed opportunity to get Carlos or Brent some confidence, and oh yea a missed opportunity to have your best chance to win the damn game. Quentin is out because of a bruised knee.
  6. QUOTE (Tannerfan @ May 22, 2011 -> 01:24 PM) The LA TV announcers said Carlos is out with a sore knee. Anyone have more info on this? http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20...rtnerId=rss_cws
  7. QUOTE (T R U @ May 22, 2011 -> 02:46 AM) None. We are 2 out of moving into 2nd, and were on a pretty nice hot streak right now. Considering the horrendous start we got off to, it looks like we've started to pull our head out of our ass.. I am in the "in" group, but I am still in for improving the team. I didn't see any "interesting" trade possibilities proposed.
  8. What were the interesting trade possibilities again?
  9. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 20, 2011 -> 01:33 PM) Do the Red Sox do a special party whenever Orlando Cabrera or Pedro visit Fenway? If you want to do a team thing then I'd be cool with that. But this is dumb. I can't help it. The Red Sox fans sing Neil Diamond in the 7th inning, does that make you want to?
  10. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 19, 2011 -> 02:39 PM) Or not worrying about it and assuming it is some magical force. That's what they would have done 200 years ago, and they lived much simpler lives. Well, they are both working, so that is what I am going with for now. We'll see when my girlfriend gets home if she buys the magic.
  11. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ May 19, 2011 -> 02:17 PM) Have you tried swapping out the lightbulb with a regular incandescent again? Yes and its still screwed up. I do not understand what could have changed. It seems so strange to me that one switch now turns both on.
  12. QUOTE (knightni @ May 19, 2011 -> 02:11 PM) Sounds like a wiring issue, not a light bulb issue. But it worked fine 30 minutes ago??? QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ May 19, 2011 -> 02:12 PM) I'm having a hard time picturing exactly what you mean, but is there a chance that one of the switches is like a master one? I mean, in my house there are two switches to turn on the light for the basement stairs. One is at the top and the other is in the basement. The one in the basement won't turn the light on unless the switch upstairs is already on. I assume you already fiddled with it, but maybe it's similar? There is a switch for the fan and a switch for the light. They were independent, now one switch turns both on and the other does nothing.
  13. Can anybody explain this? My bathroom light fixture has a fan in it, on the wall there is a separate switch for the fan and light. The bulb burned out so I replaced it with one of the corkscrew bulbs. Now, the switch that used to turn on the light does nothing, and the switch that turned the fan on turns on the fan and the light.
  14. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 16, 2011 -> 02:34 PM) It's like you are trying to say this this 40 games in the season defines a whole career or something. Is Berkman having a better season than Pujols? Absolutely. Does that mean Berkman is the better overall player than Pujols? Not even close, it just means exactly what I said, that Berkman is having a better season so far. Believe it or not, but players don't have to perform to their expectations or career norms. I didn't say anything, I was asking you to clarify what you said.
  15. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 16, 2011 -> 02:23 PM) This season, yes, they are (actually were, since the numbers were updated last night) the two worst players in baseball this season, and yes, I believe it....why wouldn't I? I am just trying to see where you are coming from. Would you also say that Lance Berkman is a better hitter than Albert Pujols?
  16. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 16, 2011 -> 02:06 PM) Well obviously Crawford is the best of those players by far. And Pierre is certainly not the worst player in baseball either. What's your point? You said they were the 2 worst players and I wanted to know whether or not you believed that????
  17. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 16, 2011 -> 01:10 AM) Morel isn't a qualified player yet, but yeah, I think the other 3 are having better seasons that Crawford to this point, but they are all having bad years. I did not ask who was having a better season, I asked who you thought was the better player.
  18. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 16, 2011 -> 12:00 AM) Of starting players, sure, why not? And actually, just within the past 10 minutes or so, the numbers were update, Crawford is actually tied for 5th worst now with 4 other players. Juan is still leading by a decent margin though. So you think that Mark Ellis, Yuniesky Betancourt, Brendan Ryan, and Brent Morel are all better players than Crawford?
  19. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 15, 2011 -> 11:21 PM) And just to fuel the fire, Juan now owns a -1.2 WAR. Making him the worst player in baseball by DOUBLE that of the 2nd worst player, which is Carl Crawford at -0.6. How does that one sit with you guys? Still don't want to release him and have to eat $4M or so? Do you really believe that Carl Crawford is the second worst player in MLB?
  20. Does every player get tested? I thought it was random.
