  1. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 09:48 PM) So I don't want to derail the thread congratulating him on the birth of his child (congratulations, by the way), but I have a question for Sqwert. I know you're vegan and I'm pretty sure that your wife is, too. So I imagine you will raise your child vegan. If not, how does that work? And at what point does she get to make the choice between the two? If you are vegan do you breast feed your children?
  2. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 5, 2011 -> 04:39 PM) He's been hitting behind Rios and Dunn. Who is he supposed to knock in? Rios is 2nd on the Sox in runs. (may not include today)
  3. QUOTE (High Mileage @ Jun 4, 2011 -> 06:36 PM) I made the 300 mile drive, at my first Royals game of the year right now!!! Nice, how's that new ballpark?
  4. QUOTE (Cali @ Jun 4, 2011 -> 09:53 PM) RELEASE RIOS I wanna start the campaign... LOL, wouldn't that essentially be the Sox flushing $44M down the toilet? As bad as he has been that isn't going to happen.
  5. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 2, 2011 -> 06:51 PM) I think he was scheduled to come back and Ozzie wanted him ready to play a variety of positions. OF, IB and 3B. Now I don't get the SCORE so I won't rule out a major move, but really who is available to fill a need we have? Maybe relief pitching, but we need a posiiton player and even though they all haven't performed to expectations there aren't many choices. If you have itunes, you can stream WSCR.
  6. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 02:19 PM) I have a stump in my backyard from a bush we removed last year. We want to get most of it out because we would like to put a garden there. Because of the location, toughness and extent of the root structure, I dont have the option to just dig it out. What are some good options to remove it? The one option I saw was to drill holes, poor in a drying agent, then burn it out. Yea, it's 2 feet from a wood fence, not an option. Not sure how big your stump is, but stump removal generally is one of those things that is actually cheaper to have somebody else do than to do it yourself. I only know this because I know a guy who does stump removal for a living.
  7. Mary and Max was really good. Its an Australian claymation style animated film. You can watch it instantly on Netflix.
  8. QUOTE (LVSoxFan @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 03:52 PM) So we split with... Toronto but then sweep the Red Sox. I never get this team, LOL. No, we lost 3 of 4 in Toronto.
  9. Would you put Paulie in at 1st for the 9th?
  10. THAT is how you get a 16,000 square foot house in Scottsdale!!!
  11. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 01:38 PM) In for the comeback. I'm in!
  12. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 1, 2011 -> 12:23 PM) E-Jax to bullpen = epic fail for KW. I don't know, Humber's success is the reason they are in this situation and that could be looked at as a win.
  13. QUOTE (OilCan @ May 31, 2011 -> 07:00 PM) Can Quentin play LF? Somehow, I like V in RF. He played there until Dye left.
  14. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 31, 2011 -> 01:06 PM) Sox 40-man roster is at 37.... http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2011/05/40-m..._medium=twitter Its been at 38 since Milledge got DFA.
  15. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 27, 2011 -> 11:21 AM) But are they really pitching innings they wouldn't already be even if we had a 5-man rotation? The problem seems to be Thornton to me, not how many starters we have in the rotation. The bullpen isn't pitching more innings, but each reliever is.
  16. QUOTE (Lemon_44 @ May 27, 2011 -> 11:17 AM) My whole question was, why send anyone to the pen? Leave everythig as is. The Sox are on a nice stretch. If something changes and a pitcher starts throwing bad, then put them in the pen. Granted, because of track record, Humber would be on a shorter leash but sending him to the pen now doesn't make sense. Factor in the history of the staff and the 6 man rotation makes more sense. Buehrle has had tired arm issues at the end of season, Floyd was shut down last year, Danks just recently became a 200 inning+ guy, who knows how long Peavy lasts, it seems like Jackson is the only "horse" and I'm not really sure of his past inning counts. Going with 6 gives all these guys extra rest for strong starts down the stretch. I think, other than Mike Marshall, people would agree that a well rested staff is a good thing, especially when you have 6 SP's throwing well and capable of pulling it off. I think the #1 reason is that it leaves the bullpen a man short.
  17. Somehow that Jose Reyes thread made the cut.
  18. Ugly wins count too. Let's get 'em tomorrow too!
  19. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 26, 2011 -> 08:53 PM) Why is that first run unearned? Do you really get an error for not getting over in time? I understand why the second was unearned, since he dropped the ball. If Juan got a hit on that play it should be earned. Didn't realize Rios reached on an error too. Does he still get an RBI?
