  1. QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 08:12 PM) I agree that MacDougal is the best we've got. Which is exactly why he shouldn't be out there tonight. Id take Aardsma. But the point is, there really cant be any complaints about the pen right now, which further goes to show how depressing this offense is.
  2. I'm not giving up yet but Erstad has to be released, Walker has to be fired, and Crede has to be benched or start hitting the ball into the ground before I'm putting any emotional energy into this team this year. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 08:08 PM) There is a bright side to this: if we're going to suck this year and not make the playoffs, it's better that the suckiness starts sooner rather than later so we can unload Buehrle and Dye and continue the rebuilding KW did last offseason. The Yankees are going to need pitching!!
  3. I used to like Hawk, but I wont be able to handle him this season.
  4. QUOTE(Melissa1334 @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 11:13 AM) Lets not wake these guys up, makes me feel better knowing their struggling like us, even more so.. Young: .200, 2, 9 Blalock: .256, 0, 1 Teixeira: .233, 0, 2 Sosa: .175, 2, 7 Catalanotto: .167, 2, 7 Wilkerson: .222, 1, 4 Laird: .129, 0, 2 I dont see Ian Kinsler on that list.
  5. Well, tonight is our opportunity to show that we can put up some offensive numbers against mediocre teams. We need to win 2 of 3 here. The Indians are facing a wounded Yankees staff and the Tigers are facing the Royals.
  6. Rumor has it he is the unstoppable combination of Paul Byrd, Chad Gaudin and Joe Kennedy all rolled in to one. Bend over now.
  7. QUOTE(joeynach @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 10:45 AM) I have been saying this all along especially about Iguchi. When Iguchi is "forced" to hit situationally and "forced" to hit the ball to the right side he is at his best. He handles the bat much better and its obvious he doesn't try and take on the role of the pull hitting power righty, which hes not in this league. Iguchi in the 2 hole lets the ball get back on him, sees more pitches, tries to go right field, etc. With OG saying he wanted Iguchi placed down in the order in order to drive in more runs Iguchi doesn't look anything like that same patient and precise hitter we saw in the 2 hole. Well becuase of that we have seen Iguchi become a bail out (front foot) and try and pull everything hitter looking for the big shot ever AB. I cant wait to see iguchi in the 2 hole again. Erstad can figure out whatever he needs to figure out hitting 7th or 8th. Also I would love love to see Ozzie actually take into account the fact that stacking lefties on right after the other isn't the best lineup. Its not even about the matchups, going Pods, Erstad, Thome kills us late in the ballgame when the manager bring in his LOOGY; Fultz, Reyes, whoever. Also pitchers say u do them a favor when u stack lefties instead of rotate righty-lefty cuz it allows them to key in on one side of the plate and get a rhythm goin against those hitters. Going Righty-lefty roto forces the pitcher to have to work both sides of the plate differently in each at bat and doesn't allow him just to paint one side for the 3 quick outs. Im in favor of the change. bingo
  8. I love how people continue to say "The hitting will come around." f***ing great. We will give away 3 weeks of the season because we dont like the cold, then when we lose the division by 2 games, what do we say?
  9. QUOTE(mmmmmbeeer @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 01:46 PM) Are you from Chicago? Did you play baseball? Have you played in the weather this team has been facing? Apparently not. You're stiff, you've got no feel for the ball, your eyes are watering while waiting for the pitch. It isn't easy. Our catcher's bat speed has been drastically reduced? Where do you get this stuff? I really hope this is in green. Excuses based on weather should be a bannable offense. Im serious. This is f***ing major league baseball.
  10. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 01:41 PM) Fathom it's posts like this that really bring you down. I mean, seriously. today hes absolutely right. there was no effort.
  11. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 01:18 PM) the Indians radio announcers are talking about Ozzie having no confidence in Anderson and Molina at the plate. Indians tv guys took a couple shots at Ozzieball
  12. Oh God no, that bunt just kept him on the team for another 2 weeks.
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 01:06 PM) Look at our lineup today....what a freaking disgrace. We have three minor league caliber hitters in our lineup. Thankfully, KW was more focused on upgrading our pitching for 2010 then he was for upgrading what was a tired offense for 50 pct of last season. Its cold, we cant be expected to hit.
  14. Well, at least Sisco and Molina are out there trying their asses off.
  15. Can you imagine being one of our pitchers? Quality start after quality start, only to get back on the charter and hear Hawk and other b**** and moan about how its cold. I would hit someone in the f***ing face.
  16. the indians announcers think the sox are terrible.
  17. I find myself hoping that everyone strikes out just so that some changes have to be made here.
  18. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 15, 2007 -> 11:20 AM) Missed it, what happened? Crede booted it, the Indians were aggressive on the bases, we took our sweet ass time getting to the ball.
  19. Homerun here or Im turning it off and working on my Employment Law Outline
  20. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 01:24 PM) Haha. I'm not sure how some of you guys make it through a 162 game season. sometimes, in the middle of December, Im just so thankful that my day wont be ruined by a s*** sox game.
