Parking
Tomorrow we're taking a limo to the game, and I'm not quite sure how it works with getting dropped off and picked up. Does anyone know which lot we go to? And also how much it costs? Thanks!

QUOTE (scenario @ Sep 20, 2009 -> 09:44 PM) Other organizations? Yankees and Rockies were the two farm systems ahead of the Sox in wins. Yes, organizations, that's what I meant. Thank You

Was just in St. Louis over the weekend. The park was awesome. Didn't get to the arch, but plan on visiting it the next time I'm there.

What do you still want to do this summer?
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 29, 2009 -> 11:27 AM) I melt rocks for a living. I hopefully have a couple post-doc opportunities set up looking at meteorites/mars/asteroids. That sounds pretty cool. What did you major in as an undergrad? Good luck with your defense and post-doc. I'm majoring in Chemistry, and still am undecided what I would like to focus on in grad school. I'm debating between Organic and Physical Chemistry.

What do you still want to do this summer?
Just relax this last month before school starts. I worked, took a summer class, and took the GRE this summer. So it was a bit busy and stressful. I would like to catch up on some reading, and playing my playstation.

Tidbits from Today's Winner Vs. Dodgers
QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 26, 2009 -> 12:03 AM) The attendance in this series sucked because our ticket office made the very dumb decision of charging premium prices for a mid week series in June against an NL team immediately before the Cubs visit. The home series before the Cubs visit is going to be a tough draw as it is, but when you charge premium prices for it and it's in the middle of the week, that makes matters even worse. As for the game today, maybe this is just my blatant anti-Clayton bias, but I want Richard out of the rotation and Poreda taking his place. Poreda needs to get more work and where better than at the MLB level? Plus, Clayton is doing the Bartolo Colon thing these days, which is putting up a decent ERA which is deceptive in relationship to his poor performances. Other than that though, nice win today and nice series win. I was going to go to yesterdays game with my friend, but then saw tickets were going to cost me 50 bucks roughly after fees and everything. So I decided to not go.

I took physics this past year in school, and wish I would have taken it sooner. I probably would have majored in it. I think it's a fascinating subject.

QUOTE (NIUSox @ Jun 2, 2009 -> 12:51 AM) No, I haven't and I was going back and forth on which I should get and I went with Briefer. The Last Lecture was really good. I would also suggest that after you read it you should watch the actual lecture that he gave online. It will only add to it. I read some reviews, and people said that Briefer is easier to understand. Good choice. Do you read a lot of physics books?

Two of my friends and I are doing a mini book club. We are reading The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch. I've read good reviews on it, so it should be good.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 20, 2009 -> 09:44 AM) Last few years, I've read more non-fiction than fiction. Anyone else read any substantial amount of non-fiction, particularly history-related books? -- Here's a seperate question. Name an author who you like that you'd call a guilty pleasure. Something you know is not great literature, but you just enjoy it anyway. I'll throw one out there: Tony Hillerman I'm more into science stuff, and I have an Einstein biography on cd. The author is Walter Isaacson. I started it a while back but I just got really busy during this past semester, I'm just starting it over now. I think it's pretty good. My physics teacher recommended a book Isaac Newton written by James Gleick. I just started this book, and I'd recommend this one as well.
