  1. After 31 games into the season, it's quite obvious that Ozzie likes to play the matchups and doesn't mind throwing in a reliever to face just one batter. I think Walker will see some action for us. This will save Marte from having to pitch to only one or two lefties, if Walker is any good that is.
  2. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Left-handed_specialist He's basically another Kelly Wunsch for us. Hopefully, he shows half the talent. Speaking of Wunsch, he's doing a great job for the Dodgers.
  3. Kevin Walker played with Carrie Woods in high school. He HAS to be good! http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...layer_id=276526
  4. I know. Both of you guys would kick her out of bed. She may have no talent but I wouldn't turn her down.
  5. Yes, serious back problems because he was a fat, drunken slob. This is the same guy who criticized Frank for not playing hurt. And what happened to Wells that season? Yep, he got hurt and didn't play for the rest of the season. Where is David Wells right now? Yep, on the DL for the Red Sox. "Boomer" likes to run his mouth but he doesn't back it up. :headshake
  6. I think that's Shingo's or Iguchi's translator giving the bunny ears.

  8. How? Did he give him beer money? Cuz that's all Boomer did in his short stay in Chicago -- drink.

  11. Meh... 5-1 record with a 3.78 ERA. His ERA this season is right in line with his career ERA.

  13. Why bother complaining about this anyways? We don't have a voice in the matter so why whine about it? They obviously want another lefty in the bullpen. But I guess if the Sox were being run by you guys, they would obviously have a better record than 24-7.
  14. The lefty reliever for a bullpen that already has enough righties.
  15. Getting strikeouts and not walking guys would be a good way to avoid those things.
  16. 6 walks, 15 hits, and 10 earned runs in 8.1 innings pitched must just be bad luck, right? :headshake
  17. We shall see. Afterall, he's only pitched 9 innings. I think it's far too early to look at his trends through 9 innings pitched. I look at Cotts' full season last year for his BB/K trend.
  18. I look at all the stats. I hope he keeps striking guys out instead of walking them but as soon as he walks a guy or two and gives up a couple of hits or a homer, his ERA will skyrocket. Just like El Duque. Eventually the walks are going to burn them both.
  19. Cotts career ERA of 5.75 sure bears that out too. The fact is that he walks too many batters. I think most Sox fans would admit to this.
  20. What bait is there to take? The guy issues too many walks and they are usually in the leadoff variety. Am I wrong?
  21. Also, Neal "Leadoff Walk" Cotts of 9 K's and 7 BB's in 9.0 IP on the season.
  22. 17 K's in 13 IP? That's nice. Hopefully, he will be able to strikeout a few lefties for us.
