  1. Well, the Marlins would also want a reliever. I think it would be worth it only if we resigned him. If we couldn't resign him, I wouldn't make the trade.
  2. The article says that the Marlins would want a "left-handed hitting outfielder." That would be Sweeney if they want a prospect. If we still have Brian Anderson, he could start in RF and Dye could be converted to a 1st baseman. By the way, do you really want to trust Contreras in the playoffs?
  3. That is nice that he is starting at a massive pitcher's park. He will have THAT going for him.
  4. No. The Rockies wanted Mota in a deal for Fuentes and the Marlins balked at the request. They want to keep Mota and add another quality reliever.
  5. McCarthy, Sweeney, etc. The Sox are having their best season in a long time. Do whatever it takes to win this year. I'd rather give Burnett $9 million a year than Konerko and have Gload as our starting 1st baseman honestly.
  6. As much as I hate watching him pitch around guys repeatedly, get healthy soon El Duque.
  7. Burnett would be worth the prospects and a new contract.
  8. That makes it sound like he didn't want talk to or deal with anyone. Haha, what a lazy punk. Get rid of the ego, Willie. You're not that good. Try hitting the ball out of the infield sometime instead of grounding out to the 2nd baseman every friggin' AB.
  9. It doesn't seem like it.
  10. We shall see. I don't have high hopes.

  13. Beckett is a good pitcher but he's a little b****. The guy can't stay healthy because he gets blisters every other week.
  14. Why was Willie an ass? What did he do? Just curious...
  15. A healthy El Duque would have a better chance at a win, regardless of him pitching like a b****.
  16. El Duque is shaky as hell but I have no face in McCarthy getting a W. The Tigers' lineup is a hell of a lot better than the Royals' lineup.
  17. McCarthy is pitching Wednesday? I guess 2 out of 3 ain't bad...
  18. Borowski is done. Too many injuries and he is now throwing 87 MPH belt-high meatballs for homeruns.

  21. I know but Connie Payton is not Walter Payton. I guess I just don't understand why she's viewed as an idol or something.
  22. Upper deck behind home plate. Section 537, I think.
  23. Our hitters sure thought it did. But his numbers are right.
  24. Yep, that was the only thing Garland did wrong but it was a really stupid decision. Konerko screwed up on that chopper but it was an unearned run.
