  1. You are asking who broke out at age 24 and the reason that is possible is because of the pandemic. Maybe if nfl late bloomers like Rod smith (25 in year 1) and Adam Thielen ( 24 years old) had been in bigger programs their college arc would have been similar. Glad for Jones he got that extra year and made the most of it in a better offense than 2020 (where he was second leading receiver).
  2. I’ll look up the previous pandemic years and get back to you
  3. Bears should outsource their scouting to Bruglers big board so they can win the best Athletic grade trophy
  4. I like Bo Melton a lot too but obviously you'll need a bigger receiver somewhere. edit: I LOVE bo melton.
  5. I would eliminate TE just because it's kind of a bum class. But I agree with you on Landry but I also think there is some vet upside on the street right now. Landry, Jones, OBJ, Beasley. Also what if Cohen passes a physical in august, he'd be a nice piece for it.
  6. I disagree there is some boundary that any WR outside of Skyy Moore, Christian Watson and Pickens that makes it a failure. There is absolutely upside in WRs that can like run routes and not have reconstructed knees and have positions and stuff.
  7. I don't really think OL is that big a win at 39, I think there is a good amount of interior talent through round 3 and I'm not crazy about 2nd round tackles. Had Linderbaum or Tyler Smith fell I'd be more enamored.
  8. Dane Brugler round 2 and 3 mocks Pickens, Winfrey, Darian Kinnard to bears. I'm sure most would be happy with that. Still think they need to try to get a 4th back.

Sounds good then here are my top 5 and you can ignore them Christian Mena Kohl Simas - 22 Y.O. with a 18 K/9 ratio Davis Martin - 25 Y.O. in AA with a 1.89 ERA and 11 Ks/9 BA noted: Sean Burke - 22 Y.O. in Hi-A with a 2.89 ERA though still showing command issues Noah Owen - 21 years old in Single A with a 1.12 ERA Drafted in the 14th round (425th overall) by the Chicago White Sox in 2021 (signed for $125,000)
  10. I feel like Brugler dropped Cam Jurgens way down in his latest update.
  11. I always liked his writeup. He sounds like he should do well in outside zone.

All pitchers are prospects. See Banks, Tanner

Disagree on pitching. Mena, Simas, D Martin, J Dominguez, Burke, Noah Owen all noteworthy as starters. Id also Shoutout to Colby Smelley

I’d say he’s ahead of schedule

  16. Basically while not the biggest need, the board value right now screams Edge or Corner to me
  17. Eh I think using a pick on a corner is good. They are expensive and when they are cheap it’s always because they are like 5’8 or slow as molasses. Like Pitre sounds very Flusian
  18. I think Hub is stupid here. Those teams all already in the management phase of keeping a lot of core players paid. The Bears are not. The teams trading for top WRs and paying them all have QBs on rookie deals. The teams trading them don’t. He’s just misapplying what’s happening.

Kanny Double-Header https://www.milb.com/scores/chicago-white-sox/2022-04-27 Sorry, I can never seem to find how to get to the MLB page? It's like MLb doesn't want you to find it.
  22. I don't know, it's just been a thing people have been saying. This is the time of year where we just say "yeah I guess I'd be okay with Rudy Gobert" and then in July we'll be like "Yes, if we could just get Brook Lopez we'll be champions"
  23. Hard to know where sox deal with some of that but when you are drafting at 26 you end up needing to make more decisions on guys like this. Love pitchers with good changeups.
  24. Looked through 2018, 2019, 2020 drafts. The bears playing catch-up constantly was just brutal. The second rounder traded for Anthony Miller would have put them in a round where DK Metcalf, AJ Brown, Terry McLaurin, Deebo Samuel were all taken. But they had no third rounder, traded for Trubisky in 2017. Just constant playing catch-up and not allowing them to play the board. While it may be tempting to go after a Metcalf, really feels like they just have to re-set with picks. I don't remember where they are at but seems like next year they have real chance to start at 8 picks. If they can, I'd drop the later 2nd to round 3 and pick up an extra fourth. Anywhoo. The 2020 I have to say Pace looks to have done decent in. Maybe better off if they doubled up at CB (was my preferance going in). After looking at a few years, definitely not a fan of round 2 tackles unless it's dallas drafting them.

Sorry, I know him well. I don't get why it seems like players like Seby are still above him despite appearing much more flawed.
