I don't like Ricky, but one thing that would have helped him is not paying $16 million for a DH hitting so poorly that you had to DH him with your poor hitting RF acquisition that was replaced by last years 25th man

and yeah, collins had a tough gig there. But ... you could throw three 90 mph fastballs down the middle to that guy and he won't catch up to it.

yeah, I still think we can win tomorrow and maybe even steal a series. But this team is paper thin and only has 2 reliable pitchers. When you are throwing a guy who hasn't batted in months to sub for a guy who hasn't batted for months, you have a problem. The solution will be getting major league free agents that aren't atrocious.
