Yeah that's probably the matchup of resources to player, I meant I was bummed more in that they were a mid level team that could keep their star and it was great since he wanted to be there...and they are going to trade him a year later.

Yeah the difficulty is definitely Arenado being paid about market, so at that point you are paying for Rights. Because of that, it's a difficult trade. They'd get value back but ...probably not that much? THey'd be limited to what teams could swallow that contract whole.

I think this is accurate but man it feels like hahn gets really excited. Remember how the night they acquired rutherford he was so defiant about bringing up Moncada...like "rebuilds arrived man". He loves this stuff. I don't blame him at all, that's why his job is awesome, but he really isn't as disciplined as he believes. Heart of hearts that dude wants to grab Chuck's microphone and shout "I NEARLY TRADED FOR GARY SANCHEZ ONCE!"

Ha, sorry. I was also pro-vaughn so I can't even claim to have been Abrams over Vaughn at the end, where I was swayed by Keith Law write-ups. But poor kid was raked through the coals for his terrible tv interview.

Man there is some revisionism around Abrams. There was only like 2 people that liked him, and I think it was me and @chitownsportsfan People called him yolmer sanchez because sox fans only have 3 player comps. If you are good defensively with a light bat you are Yolmer, if you strike out and hit for power you are Dunn, and if you are a pitcher you are James Shields.

I like Callis a lot but he throws 50s and 45s on everything. Walker was not our #6 prospect post-draft.

It's one of those things that on value it lines up but is that really where you want to unload your top available prospect? I just don't trust Hanigers production and I hate Gonzalez.
