  1. Man there is some revisionism around Abrams. There was only like 2 people that liked him, and I think it was me and @chitownsportsfan People called him yolmer sanchez because sox fans only have 3 player comps. If you are good defensively with a light bat you are Yolmer, if you strike out and hit for power you are Dunn, and if you are a pitcher you are James Shields.
  2. I like Callis a lot but he throws 50s and 45s on everything. Walker was not our #6 prospect post-draft.
  3. It's one of those things that on value it lines up but is that really where you want to unload your top available prospect? I just don't trust Hanigers production and I hate Gonzalez.
  4. eh i'd wait for them to re-do everything.Do I think he's better than their 21 year old SS in A+ who only managed a .701 OPS? I do.
  5. It really is so hard to grapple with them not even trying here (I hope they are), because the offense (thanks to much of their moves) is really one elite player away from being actually elite.
  6. edit: nvm forgot his baby parable. But spot on
  7. Ugh, they are getting cockier in responses. Makes me thing something gut punching is going to happen soon.
  8. That is now a list of teams an organization led by me could close ahead of and land Rendon.
  9. Remember when Hahn was bragging how teams kept calling him about Ryan Cordell? Just ignore him, his brag stuff is always BS.
  10. I agree, but I do feel bad for paul sullivan, that dude is doing the work of like 6 reporters right now.
  11. I already had that. $25 mill projected tenders $29.8 mill signed players (Abreu, yonder, eloy, tim anderson, kelvin herrera) 18.3 million Yas I had 8.5 for unsigned guys, but even at 10 that puts you at 83 pre mazara, add 5.7 and you are at 88
  12. What am I missing, I only have them at ~$85 currently (give or take weirdness around Abreu's signing bonus)
  13. It's never going to cease being fun to me thinking of different things the sox could do to put together a better baseball team.
  14. 2020 is for OF what 2019 was for pitchers, which means we'll try to focus on Pederson and then get out bid and trade prospects for like, mike foltenewicz or something.
  15. Silly me, I actually expected an elite free agent when this rebuild was kicked off in 16.
  16. Bernardo Flores doing what it projects him to do would be such a boon.
  17. JRs real advice to that Marlins guy should have been "always have one of the worst positions in baseball on your team, that way, any improvement makes the fans satiated. Gives them that little bit of excitement that this might be the year"
  18. Exactly what I woke up thinking. Imagine getting a 1.000 OPS guy in a lineup that will add Vaughn and Robert and have Madrigal as DEPTH. That is comparable to the best lineups in baseball. An actual Elite thing to have.
  19. If the white sox couldn't handle Sale, good luck with Bauer. Also by signing Boddy I'd imagine the Reds pony up to re-sign Bauer.
  20. He's saying that when we see him hit well, it's actually because we are dreaming.
