  1. Said it before but what about trading for Cashner.
  2. It’s not a good record but in his defense he was hamstrung in being forced to only pay recommended slot while also picking often in the back half of the first round. Hahn has been fortunate to draft under a CBA much more favorable to our owners stone tablet commandments. Of course if I was hamstrung in the draft I’d have went all in on international scouting and not hand the operations over to a criminal.
  3. It’s not “in the hopes of”. It’s really not a different concept at all than best player available.
  4. The question is can Lauri and lavine and a supporting cast of John Paxson free agents make the 8th seed. Talent wise hard to picture them near a second round that this year featured Celtics/bucks/raps/76ers. They are closer to Orlando than Brooklyn, and feel so far from even the pacers. Very, very little depth. Those teams are all closer to 10 deep. Bulls are 4 deep.
  5. White is probably the best pick but I expect him to struggle a lot year 1.
  6. Not in this draft it wasn’t. Zion was a once a decade guy.
  7. Worked out for both sides, but the mavs traded the 10th overall pick in a trash draft and got a star in Doncic. Sigh.
  8. Lucky for him all he’ll be asked to do is past to the post and “let them pound the rock with great spirit”.
  9. Is what it is. Bulls are not in a fun place right now. Very boring. white is a good pick at 7 but not sure his fit. Free agency terrifies me.
  10. lol that would be hilarious but I really doubt that's anything.
  11. players cannot develop if a ball makes their pitching lines look horrible!
  12. It's not just birmingham. It's AA. It's a big jump.
  13. yes, and as bad as charlottes other pitchers are, worth mentioning AAA as a whole and the IL has been an insane runs environment so he's done pretty well.
  14. a bunch of random ones are censored correctly, the most common ones aren't picking upf or some reason.
  15. I would probably do that. if you walked away with like ball and brandon clarke or coby white that would be pretty exciting. Or if bol bol fell. But I don't know how much more I like that then darius garland.
  16. they should trade for andrew cashner and take on all the salary and hopefully just give up crap.
  17. Blair Walsh: 0 outs, 3 hits, 6 runs, 5 ER, 2 BBs
  18. I kinda am with you in that the Anderson example makes me want to take more guys that are just so physically gifted - quick hands, bat speed, etc - that they can just physically adjust so well even if they aren't maturing so much in approach. But, Timmys production was so consistent across each level, every jump and he was moved fairly quickly, that I'm not sure you could say he wasn't developing and improving as he moved up. Adolfo was making a pretty good case before his set-back. He started making more contact to tap into his power, getting on base more. Also Forbes just suddenly started walking a bunch. But there aren't a lot of "wow they just suddenly tapped into that power/avg/obp" examples.
  19. There is no way for anyone to answer that question.
  20. Teams that I would be excited to get Zion: Atlanta Memphis New Orleans Teams I would be neutral about: Charlotte Dallas Minnesota Teams I would hate: Cleveland Phoenix Knicks Wizards Lakers Heat
  21. LEURY GARCIA edit: i'm being serious though they didn't draft him. He's undeniably a better hitter than when he arrived from Texas. Also I know Anderson qualifies as "taking his lumps" but he made meaningful progress across levels under sox.
  22. Bleh I don't know. Mikal Bridges and SGA > Culver. Culver just looked lost against athletic defenders.
