Yes if we are going to retroactively apply trades the best would have been Sale to Nats for Lopez, Robles and Soto or Sale to Braves for Acuna, Riley, pitching prospects etc. But I still think in 5 years Moncada/Kopech will rival those hauls. I think even contracts like miguel cabreras are illustrative because the argument against them is that its paying for past performance. At age 33 they are giving him an aav of 31 million
