You are arguing his ceiling is Cesar Hernandez, and I don't agree. I think there are plenty of examples of atypical talents having a big impact. I think Cesar Hernandez is his median projection.

I don't have a "beef" with him. I'm personally very skeptical on the "super credentialed" college pitcher types. But like any pitcher, Singer could take his pitchability, find some velo, find a 3rd or 4th pitch, and be great. After the success of the astros, I like that stewart and winn have good spin rates. I like the consistency and LH of Liberatore. I'd prefer hitters, and yeah, I'd probably take Kelenic over Singer though his old-for-his-year thing reminds me a bit too much of Rutherford.
