QUOTE (raBBit @ May 9, 2015 -> 02:36 PM) Thread does not deliver. I've actually been drinking more than normal the last few weeks due to concerts and sporting events and what not but apparently have just not been thinking of you Soxtalkers. I apologize.

QUOTE (Brian @ May 8, 2015 -> 09:58 PM) If they weren't calling that deliberate reach in on Lebron, THE refs wouldn't have called anything in the, in OT. He only dick punched Derrick on that play, clearly no foul.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ May 6, 2015 -> 10:31 AM) Pacquiao was injured and is having surgery on his shoulder. Mayweather tentatively said he would fight him again. Queue up ROUND DEUX All seems like a ploy to me to drum up interest in a rematch. I wont be ordering it if it happens, that's for sure.

Pretty shocked that DA would have the most posts in this thread.

Greg Walker ~ What have we learned?
QUOTE (Tex @ May 6, 2015 -> 08:53 AM) How the farm system was not growing many hitters. Maybe that is an area we should look at Something everyone here has agreed on for a decade now.

Greg Walker ~ What have we learned?
I never blamed Greg Walker when he was here but sometimes a change is needed and it was absolutely time to get rid of him and to be honest, probably should have happened a little before it did.

QUOTE (Brian @ May 5, 2015 -> 11:53 AM) Going thru Raw. Good mic work by everyone in first segment, especially New Day. Whod a thunk it? They have random appearances all through out the show and they're great in all of them.

QUOTE (scs787 @ May 4, 2015 -> 10:28 PM) I was very underwhelmed by the Zayn match. The match just had a weird feeling to me. Perhaps there were some nerves going on there. He had a few minor botches that he usually doesn't have but still a solid debut.

You give a Rollins-Ambrose match time and put Sami out there and the show is going to be good.

QUOTE (Big Hurtin @ May 3, 2015 -> 04:50 PM) Is it too early to crown Golden State? QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 3, 2015 -> 04:55 PM) Nope. They look more unstoppable than the Spurs did last year. There are a lot of really good teams out there and GS is head and shoulders above them all. I don't see them losing.

Official Boxing Thread
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 3, 2015 -> 10:01 AM) Listen, I grew up with Hagler, Hearns, Macho Camacho, Sugar Ray Leonard. From a technical standpoint, sure. But back in the day, boxers could also fight and vice-versa. They had the ability to do both, and also put on a show for fans who paid good money. Same with Mike Tyson in his prime. In alll honesty, I didnt watch the last six rounds closely because they were so boring. I was taking care of my baby, writing about the Sox game, listening to the Rangers game in extras....perhaps I was rooting more with heart than a rational technical side because I have many friends from the Philippines. Fine...after watching them on replay, i can admit Mayweather's strategy workeed perfectly, he frustrated Manny and wore him down, landed more punches, kept him at bay with his jabs and reach advantage, blah blah blah. I still think it was a lot closer than the judges scored it....and it was terribly disappointing as well. For someone who hasnt watched a full match in a decade, it made me never want to watch again if thats the payoff. Id prefer marquez pacman five but one of tthem would end up dead. So you haven't watched a fight in a decade but you're going to comment on his place in history?

Caulfield nobody is going to take your opinion seriously if you actually thought Manny won that fight.
