  1. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 25, 2014 -> 02:19 PM) I Hope Ambrose can succeed when SHIELD eventually splits, is all. I agree about Harper. He doesn't look like much but all of his singles matches have been solid. I'm worried about Reigns and Ambrose if the Shield were to break up right now. I love the potential of both of them but their weaknesses are beautifully hidden with in the group. And ya, Harper has been terrific since he was able to showcase his ability in the 6 man rage against the Shield. EDIT: Apparently autocorrect didn't like 6 man tag but 6 man rage works too.
  2. ND's first rd game that year was against UW-Milwaukee right? Didn't they miss a layup at the end to win or did I completely make this whole thing up?

Just get the news to me, I don't need someone calling me or talking to me face to face, just make sure I receive it.
  4. The UCLA job just seems depressing, their fan base blows. I've heard people make arguments that the Marquette job is better than the Illinois job, I'm not going to get into that but Shaka is from Wisconsin so maybe that has something to do with it if he does go there.
  5. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 25, 2014 -> 05:44 AM) Ambrose is the only one I'm not really a fan of. His promos are good but he is so dull in the ring to me. I know, I know, I shouldve seen him in ROHCZWXtreme Wrestling but in WWE, he doesn't do much for me. I'm glad they Mania card looks strong without Punk. The more he is gone, the more it pisses me off. 6 months left on a deal and he walks and gives up money. Just dumb. That's why they're such a good group though, they mask each other's weaknesses. Ambrose can be the mouth piece, Rollins can do all the heavy lifting in the ring and Reigns can come in and destroy people with his signature moves. They just work perfectly together. The way I understand the Punk situation is he actually did all his dates that were in his contract so that's kind of why he was able to just walk, so he's still probably getting paid for Merch sales. And as much as I want him at mania it seems he inadvertantly saved the card by walking out.
  6. QUOTE (scs787 @ Mar 24, 2014 -> 09:54 PM) That was all sorts of awesome....I'm starting to like Rollins more than Reigns now. Both have huge potential if used correctly. They're just the perfect group. Rollins has definitely been unbelievable as of late.
  7. You called this last week, Brian: www.cagesideseats.com/2014/3/24/5544480/video-batista-tears-his-jeans-spearing-randy-orton-on-raw
  8. Shaka is going to Marquette.
  9. Jabari will be the ROY next year but long term give me Wiggins and Embiid over him. Wiggins might take a few years to develop but I still love his upside. I expect him to keep improving greatly like did over the course of this season.
  10. I partially agree with Rock and that's why them losing pissed me off so much yesterday. They're going to be remembered as overrated by people who never saw them play during the course of the regular season, trust me I'm already dealing with this crap. Unfortunately they ran into a team with the most NBA talent who happened to play their best game of the season. And yes, the Valley was way down this year but it's not like they ran through the SWAC. They absolutely destroyed the 11th rated conference winning almost every game by double digits. They also had the 28th best out of conference schedule so they were tested, just didn't have a real heavy weight on their schedule. Looking at any single game isn't overly impressive but as a whole it's pretty insane what they were able to accomplish. Im obviously a tad biased but there's no doubt in my mind they were one of the top teams in the country. Whether it's the eye test or looking at stats they pass with flying colors, unfortunately for them yesterday was a bad day to run into Kentucky.
  11. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 23, 2014 -> 07:44 PM) Please pick Tennessee. I'm at the I don't give a f*** stage, sorry bud. But if it makes you feel better I did pick Tenn in my bracket. So chalk up the Mich win.
  12. Congrats to Dasox as well. Tenn-Mich should actually be a very interesting game.
  13. Kaner!! Heads!!! Yay!
  14. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 23, 2014 -> 05:38 PM) I was talking about losing to Calipari. Sorry I misread it. I'm dumb.
  15. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 23, 2014 -> 05:26 PM) I think the fact it was to a program/coach I despise makes it worse. We talked about this earlier this season but ya, the Shockers have the worst fans in the league and I normally can't stand them. That said, this group of players was very likable and I was seriously tired of people who never saw them play continually knocking them. Unfortunately the f***in Harrison's of all people decided to play fantastic today.
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 23, 2014 -> 04:50 PM) So what does it say for next years NBA draft when the consensus top two picks for next year, who both have huge talent around them, lost before the sweet 16? Nothing at all. And They're not the consensus top 2 with Embiid around.
  17. I shouldn't be this upset about a team I normally hate losing. Ugh.
  18. Time to kick some ass Shocks!!!
  19. I want to know why Frankamp barely played in the 2nd half, he was the only who could hit a jumper for them. Odd.
  20. Sorry didn't mean elite school, major conference school.
  21. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 23, 2014 -> 11:56 AM) Comes from a great coaching tree, elite coach brother, rebuilt small school into a sweet sixteen team. Lots there. The great coaching tree and brother don't mean anything, plenty of coaches have come from elite coaching trees and have sucked. And it's not like he inherited a train wreck program, they were either in the tourney or NIT for 4 straight years(NIT for 3 years) when he got them. He had a nice but not spectacular season this year and has happened to win 2 straight close games in the tourney. If I'm an elite school I'm not investing my program in him when he really hasn't proven anything yet.
  22. I'd definitely wait on Archie Miller if I were a big program, not much there yet.
  23. Bazz good. Cya Nova.
  24. Good effort by Harvard. They're a really good team but Harris hit huge shots when he needed to.
  25. Good home win for Wiscy.
