QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 23, 2014 -> 05:38 PM) I was talking about losing to Calipari. Sorry I misread it. I'm dumb.

QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 23, 2014 -> 05:26 PM) I think the fact it was to a program/coach I despise makes it worse. We talked about this earlier this season but ya, the Shockers have the worst fans in the league and I normally can't stand them. That said, this group of players was very likable and I was seriously tired of people who never saw them play continually knocking them. Unfortunately the f***in Harrison's of all people decided to play fantastic today.

Official 2013-2014 College Hoops Thread
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 23, 2014 -> 04:50 PM) So what does it say for next years NBA draft when the consensus top two picks for next year, who both have huge talent around them, lost before the sweet 16? Nothing at all. And They're not the consensus top 2 with Embiid around.

I shouldn't be this upset about a team I normally hate losing. Ugh.

I want to know why Frankamp barely played in the 2nd half, he was the only who could hit a jumper for them. Odd.

Sorry didn't mean elite school, major conference school.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 23, 2014 -> 11:56 AM) Comes from a great coaching tree, elite coach brother, rebuilt small school into a sweet sixteen team. Lots there. The great coaching tree and brother don't mean anything, plenty of coaches have come from elite coaching trees and have sucked. And it's not like he inherited a train wreck program, they were either in the tourney or NIT for 4 straight years(NIT for 3 years) when he got them. He had a nice but not spectacular season this year and has happened to win 2 straight close games in the tourney. If I'm an elite school I'm not investing my program in him when he really hasn't proven anything yet.

I'd definitely wait on Archie Miller if I were a big program, not much there yet.

Good effort by Harvard. They're a really good team but Harris hit huge shots when he needed to.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Mar 22, 2014 -> 08:33 PM) Bulls expect Rose to be back for the playoffs Not this s*** again. I don't even want him back. He's not going to be good and look what's happened to Westbrook this year after a similar injury. I saw the article earlier today and just ignored it.

Love it that the acc is now 0-2 against the a10 when coach K took a shot at them before the tourney.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Mar 22, 2014 -> 07:08 PM) SDSU has their typical good defense, but not quite enough consistent offensive threats to go much further. Thames is good, but they're lacking that superstar presence they had in Kawhi Leonard. Fwiw, that OSU-Gonzaga was one of the ugliest games in recent history, like the World Cup Final or Louisville and Syracuse first halves today. Not getting any good games today. Bit of a letdown. Thames is a better offensive player than Kawhi was. But yes, they lack fire power elsewhere, they'll have some issues with Zona or the Zags.

QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 22, 2014 -> 05:42 PM) Ihsa maybe single handedly ruining any chance Illinois has at Brunson. I'll let you explain more since you're there and were giving me all the info but that was one of the more bizarre things ever to follow. What a joke that whole thing was.

Boeheim is by far my most hated coach in college basketball. EDIT: Head coach that is. Lowery can still go to hell.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Mar 22, 2014 -> 01:36 PM) Louisville overcame the Ware injury last year, but they had a lot more depth. You never know what North Carolina team you're going to get...but getting past the Sweet 16 would seem like an immense task. Ware isn't in the same universe as Niang. Not a valid comparison.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 21, 2014 -> 09:34 PM) Soccer players in Europe were jealous of that flop, but there is zero reason to contest that shot. Yup. This tourney has been absolutely bonkers so far.
