QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 8, 2013 -> 08:53 PM) They have twice lost the World Series. How are they undefeated when facing elimination? And they lost the 2011 ALCS. I assume he meant in the divisional series.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Oct 8, 2013 -> 02:30 PM) It's only a bad pick because we didn't know he had a serious ankle injury beforehand. I think week 7 on we see the normal Roddy White. If we knew it was a high ankle sprain in preseason, he would have moved down a bit. Knowing what we knew, he was fine as a 3rd rounder. That's less on owners, more on just not having the right information because they withheld it from everyone. Ya, he started to look much better yesterday. Give him the bye week and you might start to get Roddy White like production out of him in week 7.

QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Oct 8, 2013 -> 01:16 PM) Fans singing in unison and dancing when an athlete is announced and enters the game... If I were an A's fan attending a game and that happened, I would renounce my fandom. I would most likely get shiv'd, because that seems to be the thing to do at baseball games in California, but it would be a matter of principle. I abhore the late '80s/early '90s cheese of Major League. It belongs inside the VHS player gathering dust in your basement and nowhere else. Why?

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 8, 2013 -> 01:14 PM) Bill Barnwell on Grantland is adamant about usually going for it, and I've totally been reading his artictles too often. It is an interesting argument, similar to win expectancy in baseball and everyone suddenly turning against sacrifice bunting. Ya, one of my old roommates(who is a huge grantland fan actually) is all about going for it basically every time. And every time someone gets stuffed it's "well it was a bad play call." I definitely get the odds, and I'm in favor of going for it a majority of the time, but there's definitely times to kick the field goal.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 8, 2013 -> 12:53 PM) the dirt sheets keep asking Ryback about Goldberg, and WWE has recently done a lot of work with goldberg in DVDs and such. I wouldnt be surprised to see him come back for a 1 off at mania. Ya I've read that too. I don't hate Goldberg as much as most of the internet crowd but Goldberg-Ryback would be horrendous. That being said, it's better to have that than to have Taker's mania match wasted on Ryback.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 8, 2013 -> 12:49 PM) As he should (most of the time). I have no issues with him going for it at the end of the first half. The play call may have been bad, but the decision wasn't. It's an interesting argument. I know the odds say to always go for those but I feel that anytime teams actually do, they get stuffed.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Oct 8, 2013 -> 08:45 AM) I bet they feel really smart going for the touchdown at the end of the first half. That's a decision that costs coaches jobs. That was the biggest no brainer take the points of them all, and the idiots tried to run a draw play against a 9 man box. Mike Smith always goes for those.

QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 8, 2013 -> 05:56 AM) That was my first thought when they announced Cena was coming back. Already though? Thought they were going to have him take his time. I know he held it for a short time before but Cena carrying around that big belt would look odd. Who would he face at XXX? Was hoping he'd stay out of the title picture and face Taker personally. Punk maybe? I think Punk might finally get his Mania main event and having Punk-Cena unify the titles at WMXXX would make sense considering how good their feud over the last few years has been.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 7, 2013 -> 11:11 PM) Derrick's gotta shake off the rust at the FT line. Other than that, he's looking good. Oh ya, he's not just missing ft's, he's missing them BAD. He'll be there when the real games start.

I usually can't stand HHH but his involvement in this angle has been perfect. That being said, the Big Show's involvement is starting to ruin the whole thing, hopefully the blow off to this feud is at HiAC and they don't f*** it up.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Oct 7, 2013 -> 10:37 PM) Guy in my league lost by .8, he was up .2 going into the last drive, going up against Powell. It's so damn frustrating. 2 of my 3 losses have come by the fake stat correction and this. 2nd most pts in the league with Tom Brady being the worst person ever and I can't catch a f***in break. Sorry, end fantasy football rant.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Oct 7, 2013 -> 05:37 PM) I don't know if it would be accepted, but I'm considering giving up Vick for Brady. He has Pryor, started him this week over Brady. Not sure how high/low he is on Brady. I don't know how long I can ride the Vick wave of season-might-be-over-any-second. Ya I'd definitely do that if I were you, at least Brady should be playing all season. I'd also pick up Foles(something I'm going to do as well), might catch lightning in a bottle.

Nobody is trading for Brady, everybody already has quarterbacks. I should have also probably added that Jones is a potential 9th round keeper that gives him some extra value. If I do the deal, I really hurt myself for 4ish weeks with bye fillers, I lose a good potential keeper, I help a really good opponent out a lot and if Brady gets back near his usual level of play with Gronk then I'm not getting much of an upgrade at all. It's not as simple as you guys are making it out to be.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 7, 2013 -> 04:30 PM) Honestly, Im not really sure what it is. I know when I was young it was just X, and back then i was always told it was mainly just heroin and speed (which is why you got wacky or speedy pills). I cant imagine why anyone would break into a house on molly. Honestly that Salvia s*** was odder, for about 5 minutes I couldnt stop laughing, so I couldnt close my mouth and i had to go to the sink and drool into it. It was odd as hell. No one's really sure as no one was with him until he came bleeding back to one of our party houses. It was a bizarre situation.
