  1. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 4, 2013 -> 01:01 PM) sig bet For the rest of the season? Sure. I mean I'll do one for this week too because why not but as I said I don't think you can go wrong either way(though I like Brady a little bit better).
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 4, 2013 -> 12:42 PM) Why on earth would you start Brady over Rivers, especially given those matchups (kind of a response to Rowand here). You ride Rivers. He's legitimately my 3rd ranked QB in the league this week with that matchup against Oakland (behind Manning against Dallas whom Rivers shredded last week and Rodgers against Detroit). Brady hasn't been very impressive at all this year. Rivers has been a monster and all of his statistics say it's for real. And he's f***ing playing Oakland. Cinci and Oakland are almost identical in pass defense this year so the matchup is basically moot. Brady also gets one of his weapons back and has progressively been getting better the last few weeks after a terrible week 2. Obviously Rivers has been better so far this season but I'll take Brady for the rest of the season, starting with this week.
  3. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Oct 4, 2013 -> 12:16 PM) No time to go grocery shopping, plus I'm regularly back and forth between two residences, which is annoying. It's something I need to make time for, no doubt. Get a jar of Peanut Butter, seriously.

  5. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 4, 2013 -> 11:02 AM) I guess I view conference championship implicating game as more important than an early big ten matchup, even if on national tv. Of course, I'm also probably understating how awful NW football was in the past compared to where it is now (even though I don't think the "now" is anywhere close to where Greenberg and Wilbon think it is). Well besides the Rose Bowl year when have they really been in a conference championship implicating game? And sure this is early in the season but it could have some serious ramifications on the Big 10 Championship this year. As Rock said as well, this game can be huge as far as recruiting goes with the extra exposure. This is pretty huge for that program.
  6. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 4, 2013 -> 11:28 AM) Speaking of, I havent seen anything definitive on that yet. Obviously I'm no doctor but I almost think that he was hit right above the knee where it f***in kills for a few days but nothing that'll keep him out for a long period of time.
  7. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 4, 2013 -> 10:25 AM) Is Pead even worth a roster spot anymore? The rams coaches clearly don't think he's good. Probably not. Looks like Stacy might get the starting reps but it's kind of the like the Steelers were before Bell came back, it's a bad offense with a bunch of bad rb's in a committee, I'd stay away from all of them.
  8. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 4, 2013 -> 10:13 AM) Brady at Cin or Rivers at Oak. I'd still go Brady but don't think you can go wrong with either. Hope I helped!
  9. QUOTE (scs787 @ Oct 3, 2013 -> 11:28 PM) If he gets cut(has this happened already?) I wouldn't be apposed. I wouldn't wanna give up a draft pick for him though. Also don't think the bears have the 8M or whatever he's owed this year to pay him. He got cut.
  10. QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Oct 4, 2013 -> 12:05 AM) Who to start in FLEX? Roddy White Isaiah Pead Dwayne Bowe Justin Blackmon Bowe.
  11. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 4, 2013 -> 09:45 AM) Am I the only one thinking NW is going a bit overboard about their game tomorrow? Wilbon was on ESPN this morning (Mike & Mike and GameDay are also in town) and he was saying this is one of the biggest games in program history. Rose Bowl game > annual Big Ten game against OSU in my book. You named one game. I'd say this is absolutely one of the biggest games in the program's history. On a side note, I apparently could have been able to meet the gameday crew tomorrow(which would have meant Samantha Ponder!!!!) if I wasn't stuck in Wisconsin.
  12. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Oct 4, 2013 -> 08:58 AM) Yea, this is much different, especially considering you know your body, have solid workout experience, and know your eating schedule, etc. A lot of people just down shakes regardless of timing, or even questioning why they're doing it, or if they even need to do it. They saw it on TV or something, so it must be what you have to do! Are you telling me those 15 minute ab commercials on tv aren't legit?!? Anywho, just finished my leg day, it's my least favorite thing in the world then it becomes my favorite thing in the world once I'm done with it.
  13. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Oct 3, 2013 -> 09:23 PM) So, I have an impressive collection of non-productive RB's in one of my leagues. I have to bench at least one of them (my only real flex option at WR is Michael Floyd). Ray Rice vs MIA Lamar Miller vs BAL Eddie Lacy vs DET David Wilson vs PHI The season so far would suggest Wilson is the guy to sit, but with a favorable matchup and Scott gone, he might finally produce. I'm kind of thinking Miller because his lack of touches despite decent production the last few weeks scares me. Damn man, you got the all bust team there. I think id still sit Wilson but good luck.
  14. QUOTE (scs787 @ Oct 3, 2013 -> 05:23 PM) I'm gonna get laughed at for this but it is what it is =/ Jay Cutler or Brian Hoyer? It sucks that you put yourself in this situation but that's not a bad question. I'd go Cutler this week though.
  15. QUOTE (CryptviLL @ Oct 3, 2013 -> 03:58 PM) Okay, who wants to help me out here? I am going to plan a workout routine/schedule. My goal is to plan it so that I have 2 or 3 off days. Saturday and Monday for sure. I'd like Sunday to be my 'toughest' day. I am extremely skinny (6 feet tall, 135 pounds), but I have great endurance (run often/exercise/basketball). So I am looking to build muscle, but this is something I've never really dedicated myself to doing. (Ive had many gym memberships and have often worked out on and off so I am not out of shape by any means, but I need a routine...) How do I set up my schedule? Typically, I've just had workout days where I work out everything because I have so much endurance... but I want more of a real routine. Help me out? Google 5x5 and I'd start with that. Do compound lifts: bench, deadlift, squat, rows, chinups/pullups, don't worry about isolation moves for now. Most of all EAT, eat and eat some more.
  16. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 3, 2013 -> 10:15 AM) I am more interested in pre all star break 2021 They will be the Kansas City White Sox and Greg will be their manager.
  17. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 3, 2013 -> 07:03 AM) Post your predictions for the playoffs here. Poster with the closest picks wins 2 49ers tickets and a fixed up '69 Chevelle. This made me laugh. Well done sir. With the White Sox being so bad, I sadly haven't paid attention to baseball enough to even make educated predictions here.
  18. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Oct 3, 2013 -> 10:09 AM) WHO'S READY FOR BILLS AND BROWNS? Easily the two most exciting teams in the NFL Cameron and Gordon actually make the Browns semi fun to watch.

QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 2, 2013 -> 05:37 PM) I think Trophy Wife is pretty good so far. I liked the first episode of Mom but the 2nd one was weaker. Where do I hand in my man card? You have to be a man to have a man card...BURN
  21. QUOTE (Jake @ Oct 2, 2013 -> 05:13 PM) Wimpy won't be a pompous ass who makes just as many mistakes as his partner, though Stone is the pompous ass?
  22. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 2, 2013 -> 08:51 AM) The new rules are going to increase scoring a bit, I think, especially for a team like the Hawks that forechecks so f***ing well. For a hockey dumby like myself, what were the rule changes?
  23. QUOTE (Jake @ Oct 2, 2013 -> 04:53 PM) I've grown to like Hawk more as time goes on. Please god, fire Steve Stone and get Wimpy back here Give it 2 months and Hawk would be just as bored and tired with Wimpy as he is with Stone now. That's just who he is right now.
  24. QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 2, 2013 -> 04:45 PM) I don't think the Gonzalez trade was bad for that guy. TG has been performing and he may have had a WR2 that would be a small enough drop off that the increase in TE points was worth it. But I would not have traded Gio Bernard for Alshon. Who may be an up and down guy. Gonzalez had 1 amazing week and has been very blah besides that. You never trade a WR1(and a top 5 one at that) for a middle of the road TE1.
