This conversation led me to look up some numbers...it appears that this Mike Trout fella is pretty good.

In the league I don't care about as much, my rb's are Steven Jackson, Eddie Lacey and TRich, this is going to be a rough week. -
No #twtw from Chris, that simple.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Sep 18, 2013 -> 05:48 PM) So I'd like to pick up McGahee since my backs are currently Foster, Jones-Drew and Bernard Pierce (14 team league) and I want some depth but I can't figure out which WR to drop out of Miles Austin, Josh Gordon and Eddie Royal (I also have Fitzgerald, Tavon Austin and Steve Smith) or whether I should even drop one for McGahee. Thoghts? I'd probably drop Royal but wouldn't even consider anyone else. -
Like the trade for both teams.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 18, 2013 -> 03:10 PM) Still, how many people hold Joe Crede and Aaron Rowand in high regard simply due to that World Series? They weren't bad players, but, if not for a World Series, they shouldn't be players that are celebrated forever. I think he really hurt his article by not mentioning that. Rowand and Crede were kind of White Sox legends before the World Series though as well. People fell in love with Joe because he was "clutch" and Aaron because he ran into a lot of things. Obviously the World Series helped a lot with their legends(especially Crede) but they were both beloved members of the Sox before it.

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Sep 18, 2013 -> 12:59 PM) I know nobody cares but it might make some people feel better, had one of the more disappointing losses in my FF career. I was up 6 and still had AJ Green and Antonio Brown on MNF and I was going up against Cincys defense, ya I lost by 1. Ya that's rough. -

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 18, 2013 -> 10:25 AM) Good god is that refreshing Ya, it really is. Seems most old school guys are just stuck in their own ways, nice to see someone be able to adapt. -
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 18, 2013 -> 09:50 AM) BJ's kind of sucked Hehe

I'm sure I asked this last year but does anyone read the quarterback facebook convo's on profootballmock.com? If you don't, you should.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 17, 2013 -> 01:01 PM) I wouldn't mind making $80M in cash in one year. Can you cook?

Both. Twitter is just awesome for sports information and while I was real late to the game I do love fb now.

Unfortunately Beckham is a bad hitter, that's just a fact at this point. His elite glove makes it hard to just give him up but Semien needs to play somewhere next year and it should be one of the middle infield positions.

Sometime the best thing a coach can do is stay out of his players way and Spo is smart enough to do that. The guy obviously has great players but he's managed to win with those egos as well, that makes him a great coach IMO. First time I've said this in a while in this thread but I'm with J4L on this one.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 15, 2013 -> 09:35 PM) Seahawks defense is very impressive. Love how the lightning delay was timed perfectly for Breaking Bad.

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 16, 2013 -> 08:52 AM) Is it me or through the first two games has Ben Tate looked a lot better than Arian Foster? I could see this situation frustrating fantasy owners all season long. Tate is a pretty good player but Foster will keep getting his 80 yds and a touchdown, it's what he does. Anywho, I was down by 35 going into the Sunday game and Marshawn and Seattles d made me win pretty comfortably, fantastic. -
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 04:19 PM) I think he fooled all of us. We have a bit of a Crede Curse going on at 3rd base it seems. Ya, I've just learned to take September statistics like spring training stats, most of the time they just don't mean a damn thing.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 04:15 PM) Semien with 2 straight good games. Avi struggled today, he needs to keep the opposition honest by being able to pull the ball. Remember when Brent Morel learned to pull the ball two Septembers ago? No reason whatsoever why I brought that up.

QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 03:51 PM) Mike Birbiglia is hilarious. I'm surprised he hasn't been mentioned yet. He's fantastic, good call.

QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 01:05 PM) I know he comes from a Jewish family, but I thought Jerry was an atheist. No, you're thinking of me.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 11:09 AM) Pretty happy the worst season in the history of Big Brother is almost over. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 11:34 AM) And it started out so good with the house split and blind sides. Now we're left with 3 forgettable players. Yup, nobody deserves to win this year. I will say during the middle of the season, after dark was the most entertaining it's ever been but this whole cast was awful at the game and extremely unlikable.

Slow pitch softball thread
Rowand44 replied to ChiliIrishHammock24's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I despise people that get all bent out of shape about little things in softball. I want to win as much as anyone in anything I play but people b**** and complain about the dumbest things. Shut the f*** up and play the game. -
Nobody overrates Luol Deng on this board maybe the majority of the regular fans do but everyone's regular fan base are morons. As far as Jimmy Butler, once again, nobody thinks he's the next big thing but he is a legit starting sg and the Bulls have not had that yet in the Lebron/Miami era and that makes a huge difference.
