Healthy Eating Thread
QUOTE (farmteam @ Sep 21, 2013 -> 11:56 PM) What are some good ideas for a quick breakfast snack? I usually just heat up two bagels and throw some cream cheese on there, but I want something healthier. Minimal (read: nearly none) prep time if possible. Doesn't have to be anything huge, like I usually said I only have two bagels, and sometimes I don't even eat both. I've been throwing some blueberries into Greek yogurt. No prep time, healthy and delicious.

SI on Paulie and our lousy future
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 21, 2013 -> 12:54 AM) Until Sale goes down. And it will Happen. And even then I laugh at the notion that this is a "championship" staff. Rays >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Sox. Well, they still won the division with ease. And what you're selling sounds like hope, not reality. Kinda like Rowand. "The Bulls will win the championship." lol. They can t even see the Nets or Pacers, let alone LeBron. The Sox are bad and boring. Really? You're bringing your bulls*** into here now? I make awful predictions every year but mine destroy yours when it comes to the NBA yet you continue to talk down to people. Keep it up buddy.

2013 MLB Catch-All thread
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 19, 2013 -> 10:00 PM) Dodgers clinch the first playoff berth, so much for developing young talent and not spending gobs of money. Although I find them likable for some reason. Loved their celebration and Brandon McCarthy's reaction to it.

QUOTE (Marty34 @ Sep 20, 2013 -> 12:35 PM) 1. I think anyone who thinks the Sox are going to win 85-90 games next year is being delusional. Nobody is being delusional because nobody knows what the hell the team is going to look like.

2013-2014 NFL Thread
QUOTE (scs787 @ Sep 19, 2013 -> 12:37 PM) Thing I don't get is they were gonna be in the running for those 3 anyway, and they'd have TRich....Certainly a puzzling move to me. Cause they're really bad and rb's in todays nfl are not very important(there are obvious exceptions), load up on picks and rebuild, makes perfect sense to me.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 19, 2013 -> 12:39 PM) What, you don't think a 2nd year qb that is closer to 30 than 20 is going to be around for a long time? He actually turns 30 in less than a month, crazy.

Chris Sale and wasted effort
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 19, 2013 -> 12:14 PM) I would take the money. If he stays healthy, he will be young enough to cash in again. Yup. He is still so damn young, it's freakin nuts.

Chris Sale and wasted effort
This conversation led me to look up some numbers...it appears that this Mike Trout fella is pretty good.

In the league I don't care about as much, my rb's are Steven Jackson, Eddie Lacey and TRich, this is going to be a rough week.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Sep 18, 2013 -> 05:48 PM) So I'd like to pick up McGahee since my backs are currently Foster, Jones-Drew and Bernard Pierce (14 team league) and I want some depth but I can't figure out which WR to drop out of Miles Austin, Josh Gordon and Eddie Royal (I also have Fitzgerald, Tavon Austin and Steve Smith) or whether I should even drop one for McGahee. Thoghts? I'd probably drop Royal but wouldn't even consider anyone else.

Meaningless, Meaningful Baseball
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 18, 2013 -> 03:10 PM) Still, how many people hold Joe Crede and Aaron Rowand in high regard simply due to that World Series? They weren't bad players, but, if not for a World Series, they shouldn't be players that are celebrated forever. I think he really hurt his article by not mentioning that. Rowand and Crede were kind of White Sox legends before the World Series though as well. People fell in love with Joe because he was "clutch" and Aaron because he ran into a lot of things. Obviously the World Series helped a lot with their legends(especially Crede) but they were both beloved members of the Sox before it.

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Sep 18, 2013 -> 12:59 PM) I know nobody cares but it might make some people feel better, had one of the more disappointing losses in my FF career. I was up 6 and still had AJ Green and Antonio Brown on MNF and I was going up against Cincys defense, ya I lost by 1. Ya that's rough.
