  1. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Sep 9, 2013 -> 11:05 AM) Packers defense was better yesterday then in the playoffs last year, but still not good enough. They played a lot of zone coverage to make sure Kaepernick didn't run all over them. Problem with that is Boldin kills in zone. Not having Morgan Burnett and Casey Hayward was a bigger issue than I thought it was going to be. Not many teams are gonna go into SF right now and win. Packers had the lead in the 4th, so I think they can hang with them, but 49ers are just better right now. Oh ya, it's definitely not panic time in GB, they played arguably the best team in football on the road, there was just so many holes in the defense yesterday, those have to get sewn up.
  2. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 9, 2013 -> 09:58 AM) The experts were too quick to hand Oakland the #1 pick in 2014. Jacksonville is gonna give them a run for their money. Playing Chad Henne will be the difference between getting the 1 pick or not for Jacksonville imo. Henne is servicable enough to win some games, Gabbert is hot garbage.
  3. Minus the pick, I thought Jay was fantastic yesterday, I know this is said about him all the time but some of those throws he made, only a hand full of qb's could make...if that. AJ Green is f***in good. Gosox I see you lurking here...your defense looked awful yesterday. I get that Kap is a stud but yuck.
  4. My team f***in sucked this week.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 7, 2013 -> 10:08 AM) Oh my god, I don't know if it was the cheap rum or what, but I am pretty much still drunk from last night. Everyone is attempting to go to tailgaiting right now, and I am just thinking about what I should eat to stay alive, and then probably going to sleep again. Fuuuuuuck. Man up!
  6. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Sep 6, 2013 -> 04:19 PM) Lawrie is 23. He was seriously rushed. And he's made no improvement to his game whatsoever. I'm not saying he can't be good at some point but the odds are really against him at the moment and I'm not trading a proven number 2-3 starter for him.
  7. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 6, 2013 -> 03:29 PM) Thanks for the non-answer, sheesh I think I'm gonna go with Sudfeld because the guy I'm facing has a team that's pretty well loaded. I'd go Sudfeld.
  8. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Sep 6, 2013 -> 03:13 PM) He hit two singles in his first game. I wouldn't get to carried away. Let's see where he ends up in 2014 Yup, the reason I want him playing the rest of the way is definitely because of those two singles. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 6, 2013 -> 03:15 PM) MVP of the world that's where he ends up I'm thinking MVP of the universe but whatever, you stick with your low expectations.
  9. It's really stupid that Marcus isn't playing everyday.
  10. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Sep 6, 2013 -> 11:20 AM) Lawrie for Q is a reasonable deal with high upside at a premium position right now. No thanks. Lawrie is still young but all he's proven is that he can get injured and not be very good so far. Q on the other hand has already proven to be a number 2-3 starter in this league. I get the idea of trying to trade one of the sp's for a young 3b but Q for Lawrie would be a poor trade on our end.
  11. In the hunt for a high draft pick this is like having Mike Trout return, wonderful.
  12. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 09:51 PM) Rick & co are not gonna punt the 2014 season. This is based on a couple whispers about potential targets if they can't land Abreu. Here is what I'd like to see: Rotation: Sale, Danks, Josh Johnson (FA), Santiago, Erik Johnson Bullpen: Reed, Jones, Lindstrom, Webb, Petricka, Leesman, Marinez LF: De Aza 2B: Beckham RF: Hunter Pence (FA) 3/$39 C: Brian McCann (FA) 4/$60 1B: Viciedo DH: Dunn CF: A. Garcia 3B: Brett Lawrie (Quintana trade) SS: Semien UT: Gillaspie IF: Keppinger OF: Danks C: Phegley We're getting rid of Quintana and Alexei and only Lawrie is coming back to the major league roster? That would be pretty awful.
  13. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Sep 6, 2013 -> 10:43 AM) Best player available is fine with me, no matter who it is. In the baseball draft that is always the way to go.
  14. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Sep 6, 2013 -> 10:59 AM) Pfft softball, kickball is where its at. Going for 3rd championship in 4 seasons tonight. I'm so jealous. Kickball is so damn fun, haven't played in years though.

There's nobody that deserves to win this season but I guess I'm cheering for Judd just cause he bothers me the least.
  16. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Sep 6, 2013 -> 08:54 AM) So Manning couldn't have thrown one of his 34 TD passes last night to Eric Decker. I have Decker, the guy I am playing has Manning. I lost this week. That's all on Decker, Peyton threw him a perfect fade in the back of the endzone that he dropped. And ya, it's kind of crazy that the high in fantasy points for the season for an individual probably just came in game 1. In my main league a buddy of mine has Peyton and Thomas, thankfully I'm not playing him.
  17. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Sep 6, 2013 -> 10:05 AM) Ravens, Flacco specifically, really helped to give that game away. The Broncos offense looks good, but the defense may have some issues. (Edit) Flacco looked terrible. He was lazy with his throws, not setting his feet and just generally not playing good football. Joe Flacco just isn't that good. And the Broncos defense should obviously improve a ton once Miller gets back out there.
  18. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 06:30 PM) I don't necessarily disagree with him about the Ravens. They did get hot at the right time and needed an opposing safety to make one of the dumbest plays ever. They won the Super Bowl and that's all that matters in the end, but he has a point. They absolutely should have lost to the Broncos but with them it was more getting healthy at the right time than it was getting hot.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 05:10 PM) Nah, just cause I have so much stuff after almost 9 years in the same place and I want pro's to do it. Last time I moved I used friends/myself/uhaul. Moving to the FLW historic district in Oak Park. Moving has become one of my least favorite things in the world to do. It just f***in sucks no matter what, I'd rather pay for the movers than put myself through that at this point.
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 04:50 PM) no Semien Well that's just dumb.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 02:23 PM) Of course. awesome guy on linkedin There's the problem, the picture is scaring people away. BURN
  22. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 04:29 PM) I'd forgotten briefly about SOXOBAMA. I actually did too. QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 04:48 PM) Jerry Angelo said something earlier today about how Cutler is a good bet to have a top year, then he went on to say how his numbers are pedestrian relative to his performance. While that's true... I GUESS HE WOULD KNOW WOULDN'T HE considering he's the one who gave him Omiyale and Webb as left tackles, and a receiving corps of Knox, Hester, Williams, and Davis... at the same time... yeah. So glad this clueless f*** isn't still running the team. That's almost like he's admitting that he sucked.
  23. I'm going to go out on a limb here and predict a Niners-Broncos superbowl this year. I like to live dangerously...
  24. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 12:35 PM) To keep this up though he's going to have to develop that power more. A ton of bloops to right is great but to keep people honest he has to start pulling that inside pitch harder when guys give it to him. Yup. We all know he's a strong dude but the power for whatever reason just isn't there yet, until that starts to develop, teams will start playing him different to take away some of those bloop hits. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 12:36 PM) Avisail Garcia is the only reason to watch the White Sox. And I'm still not watching. Marcus Semien is the chosen one, how dare you not love him.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 12:02 PM) Amanda is one of my favorite players this season in that she is such a good player, but her meltdown was horrible. In the house you know if you are powerful you are going to be a target and you have to defend yourself. It appears on the feeds that she is making some headway. At some point in BB you are going to be a target, and you have to win HOH or (more importantly) veto. Nobody goes through the entire game without almost getting evicted. She was one of the few this season who has actually played the game. She basically carried McCrae to this point but at the same time she is entirely the reason that the target is on their back's now. Her going crazy on Elissa is what got that target put on her and what will ultimately get her eliminated, there was no reason for it. If she just kept her mouth shut in that instance, she'd have a very good chance to win this.
