9/9 Game Thread

f*** Detroit, for old times sake.

Lol at the Tigers announcers. "How can you throw the best person is baseball out? This is ridiculous".

Lol. Who the f*** cares how good he is? This isn't the NBA, the rules shouldn't change based on how good you are.

Hopefully I'm my lifetime there will come a day when science and technology will eliminate the need for human umpires and referees in sports. I don't think it would be all that difficult.

Oh man, I hope I'm dead long before then.

I hate to mention this, because it just means this thread will be immediately locked, but I am actually rooting for a 30-0 White Sox winner tonight, in which Sale throws a perfecto and Scherzer gives up 30 runs in the 1st inning and loses. I know Sale is a long shot, but I'd like to think he has an outside chance at the Cy Young if he finishes super strong and Scherzer/Feliz/Kuroda/Darvish struggle somewhat.

Attaboy Paulie!

I feel like Phegley's goal on every groundout where he is trying to beat the throw, he is trying to stop himself as close to 1st base as he can. At least 4 or 5 times now I have seen him slow down as he approaches 1st and then come to a complete stop 5 feet past 1st. It's like he doesn't realize he can run through the base, it's weird and he is going to break an ankle stopping so hard.

Love Sale dancing in the dugout over Cabrera's ejection.

Iglesias still hitting .320 which he has been at for a long time.

200 strikeouts on the season for Sale

Alexei has made a pair of really slick plays at SS so far tonight.

Ump helping Scherzer get into a rhythm with some questionable calls while Sale walked Hunter with 2 pitches that could've been called strike 3. Gillespie with a double.

Nice job, Tank.

My 2 fav guys Gillespie and Tank combine for a run.

Let's go Phegs, pimp-step one.

Nicely done Max!! PFP!!

Swinging bunt by Phegs and throwing error by Scherzer puts Sox up 5-0. That Phegley quick stop got him to 3rd base.

Hah. Phegley - 1, Me - 0.

Jimothy Thome and Kenneth Williams sitting in the scout seats behind homeplate tonight.

f***. avisail and semien aren't even playing. i wish semien would get more time... i dont care to see veterans put up good stats anymore. theres still time for somebody to blow it

And now Chris Sale strikes out Miggy's replacement, Ramon Santiago, on a slider that hits his thigh! LOL. TWO Tigers hitters (both hitting in the 3-hole) have swung and missed on sliders that hit their legs. f***ing Randy Johnson level stuff.

Sales arch nemesis Victor Martinez hits 1 out. 5-1 Sox.

f*** you Victor.

Cubs and Twins won. 3rd pick magic number -17.

Sale is at 113 pitches through 8, but screw it, I'd like him at least start the 9th. He is already on 6-7 day rest each start, and has 6 Ks over the past 3 innings.
