I'm sure I asked this last year but does anyone read the quarterback facebook convo's on profootballmock.com? If you don't, you should.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 17, 2013 -> 01:01 PM) I wouldn't mind making $80M in cash in one year. Can you cook?

Twitter/Facebook
Both. Twitter is just awesome for sports information and while I was real late to the game I do love fb now.

Gordon Beckham
Unfortunately Beckham is a bad hitter, that's just a fact at this point. His elite glove makes it hard to just give him up but Semien needs to play somewhere next year and it should be one of the middle infield positions.

NBA Thread 2013-2014
Sometime the best thing a coach can do is stay out of his players way and Spo is smart enough to do that. The guy obviously has great players but he's managed to win with those egos as well, that makes him a great coach IMO. First time I've said this in a while in this thread but I'm with J4L on this one.

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 16, 2013 -> 08:52 AM) Is it me or through the first two games has Ben Tate looked a lot better than Arian Foster? I could see this situation frustrating fantasy owners all season long. Tate is a pretty good player but Foster will keep getting his 80 yds and a touchdown, it's what he does. Anywho, I was down by 35 going into the Sunday game and Marshawn and Seattles d made me win pretty comfortably, fantastic.

Yom Kippur Game Thread
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 04:19 PM) I think he fooled all of us. We have a bit of a Crede Curse going on at 3rd base it seems. Ya, I've just learned to take September statistics like spring training stats, most of the time they just don't mean a damn thing.

QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 04:15 PM) Semien with 2 straight good games. Avi struggled today, he needs to keep the opposition honest by being able to pull the ball. Remember when Brent Morel learned to pull the ball two Septembers ago? No reason whatsoever why I brought that up.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 11:09 AM) Pretty happy the worst season in the history of Big Brother is almost over. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 11:34 AM) And it started out so good with the house split and blind sides. Now we're left with 3 forgettable players. Yup, nobody deserves to win this year. I will say during the middle of the season, after dark was the most entertaining it's ever been but this whole cast was awful at the game and extremely unlikable.

I despise people that get all bent out of shape about little things in softball. I want to win as much as anyone in anything I play but people b**** and complain about the dumbest things. Shut the f*** up and play the game.

NBA Thread 2013-2014
Nobody overrates Luol Deng on this board maybe the majority of the regular fans do but everyone's regular fan base are morons. As far as Jimmy Butler, once again, nobody thinks he's the next big thing but he is a legit starting sg and the Bulls have not had that yet in the Lebron/Miami era and that makes a huge difference.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 11:40 AM) My ESPN rankings (worst to best): Skip/Stephen A - the worst in the history of sports. Mike & Mike - fine in a pinch, prefer M&H (though Hanley is f***ing terrible. The best is Mully & anyone else), the schtick about Golic being a real man's man and Greenie being a girly man (or one being the dumb jock versus the smart student) is terrible and old and makes me want to punch my radio. I also despise whoever does that voice that they put on all their pre-tapped stuff. Cowherd - always takes the most controversial position on an issue to be different. He's the less annoying/punchable Jim Rome, but still not good. HUGE GAP SVP and Russillo - easily the best. SVP also gets credit for getting Russillo the respect he deserves from ESPN and not being a me first asshole. Not a fan of Stephen A at all but Skip is in his own category of awful, that guy is an egotistical moron who can't even speak.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 11:11 AM) He is, but at least he is willing to take some interesting positions on things. He doesn't just take the obvious position and repeat what everyone else has been saying all day or all week. He's pretty intelligent, but he's also quite egotistical, which gets the better of him sometimes. Edit: I think VP and Russillo are solid, and I like Stink as well. But Cowherd is certainly the most willing to tackle things that others don't. Didn't read your post before I posted mine but yes, what you said ha.

Cowherd is intelligent. I agree that he can be annoying at times as he is kind of a know it all at times but he's no where near the worst guy on ESPN.
