QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 23, 2013 -> 05:07 PM) That's the thing, if she's evicted, who really deserves to win. McRae? If Elissa goes beast mode in comps now, her? No way Aaryn who has been a puppet. Nobody. I'd almost lean towards Aaryn though, puppet or not she's managed to keep herself in the game after being extremely hated at the beginning and has anyone ever won as many competitions as her in a season? Amanda and Helen were really the only two controlling the social game and Helen is gone and Amanda is god awful at comp's.
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 23, 2013 -> 12:57 PM) The NFL pressured ESPN to pull out of a project dealing with concussions, in case anyone wondered about ESPN's objectivity at all... http://www.nytimes.com/2013/08/24/sports/f...e&_r=1& That just remind me that I miss "Playmakers."

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 23, 2013 -> 11:00 AM) Did you search spoilers? Good person to return to the game, but the WORST HOH. Ya I did and agree with you on both accounts.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 23, 2013 -> 10:25 AM) Nah they never do. Classic BB. I am so happy Helen is gone, the pushiest holier than thou player in awhile. Her good vs evil schtick was ridiculous. The HoH I get, but thought for sure we'd actually see the whole comp to get back into the house, oh well, it's done now. And I'm with you on Helen, couldn't stand her.
  6. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 23, 2013 -> 10:40 AM) What are we all thinking? Your typical standing O when he comes to bat? Or should everyone loudly boo to truly make him feel special, since that's what he's used to everywhere? Standing O first at bat for sure then hopefully he does something AJish before his next at bat and you can boo the hell out of him for funsies.
  7. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Aug 23, 2013 -> 10:32 AM) I would do that trade Row. The difference in value between 24 and 32 is actually a lot bigger than 49 and 64 (or whatever that was). Ya I ended up accepting it. I'm pretty good at fantasy football but I've always been afraid to trade draft picks cause I have no idea how to value them but with this one, I figured I have 3 pretty good keepers who can be starters so I can basically have my starting lineup(minus kicker and defense) already filled out by pick 29 when my pick comes up in the 3rd round, that's hard to pass up.
  8. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Aug 23, 2013 -> 09:53 AM) Reed is the most interesting piece to me going forward. Is he traded for a young bat or extended, or both? I'd love to see him traded for a young bat. That being said, I'm not sure you're going to be able to find a good enough one for a closer, even a young, cost friendly one like Addy. If you can't find the right deal you obviously hang on to him but ideally you find a trading partner that's willing to give up a good young position player.
  9. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 23, 2013 -> 07:59 AM) We laid a big fat egg. Our SS/best hitter was hurt and our defense blew. Oh, and the team we lost to brought 4 ringers. They ended up winning the tourney after finishing 6-5 in regular season. What's that say? That you blew it?!?

QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 22, 2013 -> 11:19 PM) Eh, It's easy to find out. Andy is the biggest jellyfish in the history of the show. He wants to float. Ya I know but they were teasing all week that a juror gets back in on Thursday, I figured they'd actually show it, I thought it was kind of weak sauce.
  11. You can't give overwhelming credit to one man for the World Series but you can to 4 who with their powers combined became the most feared group in the history of baseball...GROUP 4!
  12. QUOTE (scs787 @ Aug 22, 2013 -> 07:29 PM) No love for the Dexter Pittman signing? He's lost a lot of weight, and he's 6-11" with a 7'6" wingspan....Thibs'll fix em He's been "losing a lot of weight" since his Freshman year at Texas.
  13. I'm having a really tough time deciding on this trade cause I have no clue how to value draft picks. I got offered a 3rd and 7th rounder for my 4th and 5th rounders. So I'd be getting 24 and 64 overall for 32 and 49 overall. I also have 3 keepers...Skittles as a 6th rounder, Tony G as a 10th rounder and James Jones as an 11th. What do you guys think?

Pretty weak of big brother to not show the juror member going back in.
  15. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Aug 22, 2013 -> 12:53 PM) That about sums it up. He barely touched the court last year, he played a lot more under Weber 2 years ago ("a lot more" relative to last year), still not very much at all. Just a big body to have in there and help with the foul situation etc. Well that's still an improvement over what we have! But ya, I figured he wasn't much.
  16. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Aug 18, 2013 -> 07:21 PM) For the SIU fans, Ibby Djimde is transferring from Illinois to SIU. I don't think he is even a valley level player but I'll be interested to see how he does there. Was going to ask if any of you guys had any information on him. Not much to get excited about than?

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 21, 2013 -> 06:40 AM) The Challenge is good. The Challenge is great. Woo. I really love that show now, didn't think that would ever happen. I feel like I've joined a cult.
  19. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Aug 21, 2013 -> 10:54 AM) Glorious Fireball, you do me so good Oh, there was one point this summer where I got so inebriated that I actually turned alcohol down. I was offered a pull of fireball or to slap the bag and I said "no." I also do not remember this occasion and upchucked hotdogs about 6 hours later. That's just unacceptable. I've had an odd combination this summer as I was unemployed for a few months which left me unable to go out as much as I usually do. On the other hand I also destroyed the world for the whole week of the 4th and was also in NOLA for 4 days which was the craziest time of my life.
  20. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 19, 2013 -> 09:43 PM) In my mind i don't think Orton is deserving of a title run, but I think this persona works well for him. I thought he had his best run as the cocky, slightly out of control young menber of Evolution. Running with the Mcmahons should create the same effect. I was sick of the Viper crap anyways lol He sucks as a face, he's good as a heel though. Im not Ortons biggest fan but this whole set up makes a ton of sense to me.
  21. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Aug 18, 2013 -> 09:47 PM) all of you guys sucked this summer. I keep forgetting to drink and post, I apologize.
  22. QUOTE (Jake @ Aug 19, 2013 -> 04:50 PM) Most guys like Dunn are encouraged to not try to hit through the shift by their coaching staffs This. It's really not that hard to understand, people just want to find a new way to bash Dunn.
  23. QUOTE (scs787 @ Aug 19, 2013 -> 08:53 PM) ....Or not. Am I only one that thinks those Ryback segments are pretty weak? However it would be cool if they used one of those segments to debut a small guy like Generico. Ryback just sucks, he does nothing well. I just got home so I've just seen Punk but from what I've read it looks like this corporate storyline could be pretty fun.
  24. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Aug 19, 2013 -> 05:59 PM) W/L record for a pitcher is pointless, it's amazing how many people still use it as a important metric. Chris Sale has been awful this year, I don't know how you can dispute that.
