When he was the color man alongside Don Drysdale he was fantastic. Over the years he has gotten a little rough but he is still pretty good compared to other guys.
October 2, 201312 yr Hawk was a great announcer. Nowadays I still like listening to him, but I think there are better play by play guys. The fact is, there has probably never been a more polarizing figure calling a game than Hawk Harrelson. For that alone, he should be a Hall of Famer.

October 2, 201312 yr I loathe Hawk and am embarrassed my favorite baseball team employs him. He is an oafish novelty act that is about insightful as a bag of rocks. The day he's finally gone will be a celebratory one indeed.
