QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 10:50 PM) No race he has lost in the finals twice......................race ova. That's really a dumb stat to use. What's different between losing in the 1st rd and losing in the ship? I don't think LeBron is Jordan but the s*** people come up with is kind of nuts.

QUOTE (daa84 @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 10:18 PM) Sounded like that's the rule on anything under 5 seconds. Not saying its a good rule, but per announcers it was by rule That's what I said to my roommate not knowing the rule. Just figured that had to be it.

QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 10:14 PM) LOL, what the hell is that call? How are there 5 seconds on the clock? I assume there's some rule we're missing there, right? Cause I was stumped too.

Well this is fun. And wtf LeBron is only supposed to do this with out a headband! Seriously though, I'm still daring him to take 3's if I'm the Spurs.

QUOTE (rafacosta @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 09:27 PM) Who is keeping Spurs in this game? Referees. 15 FTAs for them agst only 3 for heat. Is it rigged? Gotta actually go to the hoop to get to the line.

QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 09:18 PM) 15-3 free throw edge for the Spurs too, doubt that holds up (not blaming the refs since Miami is shooting a ton of jumpers, just saying). Miami has attempted a ton of 3's but ya...no doubt that starts to even up a bit in the 2nd half.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 19, 2013 -> 10:34 AM) Its too bad this series is over. No way the Spurs win Game 7 in Cry-ami. They missed their shot when they couldn't close it out down the stretch. Also wading back into the Jordan vs LeBron argument, that game was a microcosm of every reason why LeBron isn't on MJ's level. Where was the first half of the 4th quarter LeBron James for the other 40 minutes of the game? Jordan sure as hell wansn't deferring to anyone in an elimination game for 40 minutes. You knock Miami at every turn and then always claim they're going to run over their competition too. I do expect Miami to win game 7 but counting the Spurs out of the game is just wrong.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 19, 2013 -> 10:06 AM) So are you suggesting that the Spurs would have been better off with no review? Pops was calling for the damn thing, and it NEEDED to be reviewed. Also, Van Gundy pointed out that it also gave the Spurs time to draw up a play. People need to stop spinning everything just to hate on the Heat and the refs. I actually think Pop was yelling at the refs for calling the review because it allowed Miami to set up their defense. But under the current replay rules it was the right call to be made...no conspiracy, just a s***ty system.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 19, 2013 -> 09:34 AM) I think it was, but then Manu going to the rack is usually a pretty good option for them, so I think Pop figured he would let him go to the hole. Manu having the ball is just a bad option at this point. Yes, he was terrific in game 5 but outside of that he has been an awful player in the playoffs. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 19, 2013 -> 09:42 AM) I don't really get why Pop is getting heat for not putting Parker in. Do people have amnesia? Parker was totally gassed and was shut down on two straight possessions. The only thing I can blame Pop for is not having Duncan in the game to rebound, but even then he has a good reason. The Heat went small and Pop wanted to switch on every screen to keep the Heat from getting wide open 3's. The rebound just took an unlucky bounce and Allen hit an insane shot. Because benching your best player on the last 2 possessions of the game when you have a chance to win a championship is absolutely insane.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jun 18, 2013 -> 11:39 PM) Only if they lose game 7. But can you imagine being on that team, being so close to a title and blowing it? That team might not get another chance at a title. I feel bad for Duncan because he was an absolute monster tonight and his teammates choked away title #5. His coach as well. Popp is absolutely one of the best coaches of all time but he was horrendous tonight.
