  1. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 02:05 AM) King of the f***ing sports world. So strange to be on the other side. Still wanna punch this dude in the face.
  2. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 12:37 AM) Meh, at least so far, give me Leonard by a decent margin. When Butler was playing basically the entire game, he was about as productive as Kawhi is in 30-35 minutes. Butler should be a solid 2, but Leonard looks like a fringe All-Star in the near future. Kawhi is so deceptively strong. He'll improve his offensive game soon enough because of that strength and he'll be one of the elite defenders in the game. I love Jimmy but Kawhi is and will be better through out his career.
  3. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 12:15 AM) Wade had an off post-season. His regular season numbers were elite. Which one is which? We'll see. Wade doesn't have to be '06 Wade for the Heat to win. But Rose has to be '11 Rose for the Bulls to have any chance at all. By the time next season rolls around, Rose will have not played in an NBA game in damn near 20 months. Forgive me if I question if he can get back to the same level in year 1. I'll believe it when I see it. You gotta remember too that the Bulls actually have a starting level NBA sg which they haven't had in this LeBron era. And once again, there's just no reason to believe that Derrick wont be himself, no matter how much I'm pissed off at the guy.
  4. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 12:13 AM) I wouldn't go that far, at least not at his current level of play. They'd have a HUGE hole inside, Leonard just isn't big enough to guard post players. He can get away with it against Miami because of their small lineup. Basically, they need just Bosh to be the guy he was in Toronto. Finding a cheap, productive player like him would be a huge boost to their roster though. Not to defend Bosh here but I feel his struggles are more a product of a system than they are of Bosh. And that's not a shot at Spo cause they have 2 titles but I feel if Bosh went else where, he'd be the Toronto guy again.
  5. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jun 21, 2013 -> 12:07 AM) You're being kinda silly considering Miami has Dwyane Wade. You're arguing repairable injuries compared to a gradual physical decline. It's especially true with Westbrook since he would have been out like 2 months if the injury didn't occur in the playoffs. And come playoff time Derrick will have had how long to recover? Once again, this is nothing against LeBron's greatness but there's a few teams that I think are ready to catch Miami and actually pass them and it's not because of James.
  6. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 11:47 PM) That's a big leap to think Rose, Granger and Westbrook will revert back to their pre-injury levels, at least in that first year. If Wade is a question mark, so are those three. Honestly, there's no reason to believe that those 3 wont be themselves by the time the playoffs roll around, sure it might take them a few weeks during the regular season but unless all 3 of them get hurt again, I have every reason to believe that they'll be themselves come playoff time. Wade is a completely different animal than those 3.
  7. QUOTE (daa84 @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 11:37 PM) He's still the favorite by quite a bit IMO I don't think so(and this is nothing against LeBron btw), granted, we have to see what the offseason entails but the Bulls, Pacers and OKC should all be trending upwards while I think the Heat are about to hit a big down turn. Once again, we have to see what the offseason brings but at the moment this will be the first time preseason that I don't think LeBron and the Heat will be the best team in the league.
  8. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 11:31 PM) There's a difference between respecting the past and clinging to it. There's never, ever been a player like LeBron James. The 4th quarter and OT of game 6 and all of tonight just proved that. He impacts the game in more ways than any player ever. His defensive versatility, rebounding, play-making and tonight with the jumper. LeBron, like MJ at the same age, has it on lock now. Me thinks LeBron is going to have a hard time 3 peating next yr.
  9. QUOTE (zenryan @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 11:25 PM) We're going to critique the end of the first quarter subs now? Parker left the game with 3 minutes left in the first and Duncan with 2 minutes. Yeah the Heat went on an 8-1 in the final 3 minutes to take an 18-16 lead but when are these guys going to sit? You guys act like a coach sitting his key players to finish a quarter and get a few minutes for the tv timeout is something new. Bosh and Wade were taken out at the same time as Parker. Is Pops suppose to play these guys for minutes 9-12 and not think about the fatigue level for minutes 38-48? Want to question the possession down 4 with 30 seconds fine. But there is nothing to argue when it comes to the resting of them in the 1st or the first minute of the 4th. Resting Parker and Duncan at the same time has been proven to be a dumb move time and time again this series. Yes, they both need to sit but there's 0 reason to sit them at the same time. And Pop sat Parker for the 3 most important offensive possessions of this series and they scored a grand total of 0 Pts. Like I said, Pop is an absolute legend and he's certainly not the reason they lost this series but he was awful and deserves his share of the blame.
  10. QUOTE (zenryan @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 11:15 PM) Duncan sat for 30 seconds and Parker sat for the first 90 seconds of the 4th. Both teams scored 3 points during that stretch. Miami really took advantage of that time on the bench. End of the first when they were both on the bench is when Miami made the initial run and once again TP on the bench for your most important possession which makes Manu the primary ball handler...DUMB.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 11:11 PM) I'm quite thankful the refs did a great job overall tonight. I didn't want to have to hear about the poor officiating for the next few days. Two thumbs up here too. Can I blame them though? I'd prefer to not give LeBron credit.
  12. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 11:12 PM) Maybe in your world not mine. What's the difference?
  13. And I'm kind of with B>W in this...pop is an absolute legend but he was awful this series.
  14. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 11:07 PM) Really........... players are measured by championships won when you talk about the all time greats. And that's not what you originally said at all. Comparing finals records is a really dumb thing to compare. Losing in the first rd is the same damn thing as losing in the finals.
  15. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 10:50 PM) No race he has lost in the finals twice......................race ova. That's really a dumb stat to use. What's different between losing in the 1st rd and losing in the ship? I don't think LeBron is Jordan but the s*** people come up with is kind of nuts.
  16. And Duncan out of everyone is the one with the botch?
  17. The bosh foul is a foul in the rule book but I can honestly say that it's awful.
  18. QUOTE (daa84 @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 10:18 PM) Sounded like that's the rule on anything under 5 seconds. Not saying its a good rule, but per announcers it was by rule That's what I said to my roommate not knowing the rule. Just figured that had to be it.
  19. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 10:14 PM) LOL, what the hell is that call? How are there 5 seconds on the clock? I assume there's some rule we're missing there, right? Cause I was stumped too.
  20. I mean Neal hit that bank shot earlier, so we're even, right? This qr should be a blast.
  21. And we're officially out of control.
  22. Well this is fun. And wtf LeBron is only supposed to do this with out a headband! Seriously though, I'm still daring him to take 3's if I'm the Spurs.
  23. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 09:30 PM) I don't know why I'm even watching this game. The Heat got this game, blowout in the second half. zzzzzzzzzzzzz No, it won't be.
  24. QUOTE (rafacosta @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 09:27 PM) Who is keeping Spurs in this game? Referees. 15 FTAs for them agst only 3 for heat. Is it rigged? Gotta actually go to the hoop to get to the line.
  25. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jun 20, 2013 -> 09:18 PM) 15-3 free throw edge for the Spurs too, doubt that holds up (not blaming the refs since Miami is shooting a ton of jumpers, just saying). Miami has attempted a ton of 3's but ya...no doubt that starts to even up a bit in the 2nd half.
