  1. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 31, 2006 -> 09:35 AM) Ugh.....I REALLY like Douby as a player, but the Bulls already have enough undersized 2's, we don't need another one. He's a spectacular shooter though, he'd be an offensive boost at least. *sighs* Exactly my thoughts, I absolutely love Douby but he's just not a good fit here.
  2. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 31, 2006 -> 12:47 AM) Do you care at all about defense? Obviously not.
  3. I wonder if he protested during the day
  4. Pods would be one of the worst every day centerfielders in baseball and then to put a 3b next to him in the outfield would be quite comical.
  5. QUOTE(Thunderin @ May 31, 2006 -> 12:09 AM) Well .230 with several HR's would be a marked improvement over Brian Anderson. Brian Anderson hits weak groundballs on the first pitch he sees usually. Even Ozzie himself is saying he is not giving him quality AB's. Look, the words are from Kenny Williams himself saying we need to make "room for him" somehow. I'm sure he knows alot more about baseball than any of us. This team would lose so many games with defense in the outfield if that happened. That outfield would seriously be comedic to watch.
  6. Ya, this could be the worst idea ever.
  7. According to SC he just joined the Knicks.
  8. QUOTE(southsideirish @ May 30, 2006 -> 01:54 PM) I never said they were going away. I would put Toronto ahead of Cleveland or just say 6 for 3 spots. Blue Jays > Indians. Cleveland is getting no where near the playoffs this year, they're a .500 team.
  9. QUOTE(T R U @ May 30, 2006 -> 12:25 AM) It was 2.25 Dont insult G Money with that 2.5 non-sense lol, my mistake. Just throwing out numbers off the top of my head.
  10. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 30, 2006 -> 12:20 AM) Well he wasn't terrible, but he wasn't as good in the 2nd half as he was the 1st. However he did what we needed in the playoffs obviously, so well done in that regard. He had something like a 3.6 era in the 2nd half of last year with something like a 2.5 era in the playoffs. His 2nd half wasn't as great as his first half but he certainly didn't flatline to his career norms.
  11. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 29, 2006 -> 05:41 PM) White Sox AL Offense ranks: Runs: 4th HR: 1st AVG: 5th OBP: 5th SLG: 3rd OPS: 2nd Most importantly, what are we in triples?
  12. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 30, 2006 -> 12:15 AM) I'm aware, I watch the games. Jon finished with a 3.50 ERA last year, IMO that's a run or so below where he should be all things considered (he pitches in a great hitters park, doesn't have overwhelming stuff, not a big k guy, AL, etc). Jon is a guy that should have an ERA of 4.50 or so and pitch about 200 innings, and on this team that makes him the 5th starter and a guy that can win 14 or 15 games with this offense. Now on paper, you see that and say "how the f*** is that worth 3 and 29"....but if your 26 and throw 200 innings, while having a slightly below league average or so ERA, it's worth it....especially on a team like this where he is the #5. I wasn't arguing how good a pitcher Jon is, I was just correcting you because you said he flatlined after a good start last year, which isn't true.
  13. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 30, 2006 -> 12:10 AM) To answer this, no it wasn't. Jon had a fluke start to the year, and after that pretty much flatlined to his normal self. Look at Jon's 2nd half and playoff numbers from last year, I'm not sure you can tell me that with a straight face.
  14. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ May 29, 2006 -> 11:08 PM) Well, well, welll, so suddenly everyone is on the 'Uribe's hitting sux' kick eh? I was saying it all of last year, but since he was lighting it up for a while, no one listened. There is nothing in his approach or form that should make him a good hitter. When he gets hot it's the ball hitting his bat, not the other way around. I'm going to totally disagree here. Uribe has went on streaks the last two years where he just creamed the ball, it's not just the ball hitting the bat. Now, Juan definitely has one horrible approach up there but he's capable of being a good hitter when he's not pulling off the ball like tomorrow. When Juan consistantly hits the ball with authority to right is when he's very dangerous.
  15. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ May 29, 2006 -> 09:20 PM) That's cool and all that they're planning on making an X4, but I just don't understand how X3 can be the last of this series. They left too many unanswered questions at the end. I just hope that they end up using the same actors and actresses as the first 3. Just add me as gambit and we're good to go.
  16. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ May 29, 2006 -> 08:52 PM) i think the next X-men movie incarnation will be going in a completely different direction than the previous 3 Maybe we'll get gambit.
  17. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 29, 2006 -> 07:44 PM) Well, my Grandmother passed away last night, she was 94 and it was expected but that doesn't really seem to make me feel any better. I found out this morning at about 2 AM, I havn't slept since and probably won't be anytime soon. No matter how much you prepare yourself for these things, when it finally happens it's hard to not let it adversely affect you. Sorry to hear that man.
  18. Nope. His numbers aren't hof worthy and you also don't think of him as a dominating player of this era.
  19. Very nice win. 1.5 back now.
  20. AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER
  21. AND THAT'S A TIGERS LOSER.
