QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 7, 2014 -> 10:37 AM) Everyone will have a DRose, and the other players come and go. Be different. Go old school. Kornel David is the jersey you want. Good ole' #18. His horrifically atrocious "game winning" attempt where he heaves a shot up from almost half court with about TEN seconds left will forever be etched in my brain. I was a young, naive die-hard back then that was mildly excited about the ron mercer signing and endured years of torture watching the likes of eddie robinson and the dynamic duo of khalid el amin and jake voschul, to name a few.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jan 29, 2014 -> 07:19 PM) The Moto X wasn't doing great on sales (why do you think the phone's been discounted to $329 after initially selling at $500?) and Moto's margins are probably pretty bad ATM. Moto does have great potential though. Hopefully Lenovo leaves it alone and lets it develop like it has been for the past year. I think that a lot of it has to do with Nexus pricing also. It seemed like plenty of people were expecting similar pricing and were hugely turned off when it was that much more, particularly for lesser specs. Now that people know that it performs well, there seems to be better interest, especially at the nexus-like price point. If it gets to $300 including the wood backs, I'd get one even though I have a nexus 5.

A complete roundup of idiotic David Price trade proposals

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jan 29, 2014 -> 01:26 PM) http://deadspin.com/a-complete-roundup-of-...de-p-1511569573 Basically the article takes a look at each fanbase's proposal to acquire Price. Here's the Sox write up Between this, nothing about Stanton and the ESPN guys say every fan base overrates their own prospects, except for the Sox, I'd like to think we have a more realistic take on things compared to others. But really it is probably just the extreme pessimism. Or just an honest reflection of the farm system -
QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 23, 2014 -> 02:40 PM) Like Brandon Jennings, Josh Smith and Anthony Bennett. It's gonna be a lot harder to F up if they get a top 4 pick
-
QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 23, 2014 -> 09:57 AM) Imagine being a DET or CLE fan right now, you would crap your pants and that's a disappointment here. They could conceivably start to build a better team depending on who they draft to pair with Drummond or Irving respectively.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 20, 2014 -> 04:19 PM) Did Cliff go right at Simmons? He isn't much of a banger and did most of his damage in the open court and when not boxed out on the offensive glass. But yeah, despite the double and sometimes triple teams, Cliff took it to them down low, especially in the fourth. Outside of getting a lil winded in the first, he was a beast and just took over to lead them to the win the fourth. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 20, 2014 -> 04:17 PM) Damn, sorry I missed it, I was driving back from Mil. HUGE win. It was on watch espn so you can catch the replay online or with the app. They were down double digits in the 4th and then Big Cliff just went into beast mode and took over. You'll see the Stamps dunk and at least one Big Cliff dunk on top ten. Not only do I love that a team from Chicago and a school that I'm affiliated with won, but what makes me so much happier is when a real, actual neighborhood public school beats these ridiculous prep school basketball factories... -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 20, 2014 -> 04:10 PM) vs future Buckeye D'Angelo Russell's team. At least thats what I saw on the schedule. Are they not playing Montverde? Yup. Cliff is just a monster. Great win for Curie over the number one team with like 27 D1 kids. Cliff was an absolute beast in the 4th to lead that comeback. -

Outside of Anthony Davis, I should clarify But yeah, I really thought Blackshear would be a star. Kaminski has come alive. Boatright is productive... I just remember following all of them from Blackshear at Curie to Shaw and Henley at my alma mater goin up against abrams and egwu to Kaminski and sobeleski beating simeon at uic... -

For as hyped as that 2011 Chicago class was, they sure haven't done much at all -
Hmm. Sounds too similar to songaila. No thanks. And it's hard to put into words just how insignificant teague not panning out at that pick truly is

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 16, 2014 -> 06:57 PM) Many people connect his retirement with gambling, ie. the s*** got out of control and Stern told him to pull it together. Haha yeah I'm sure the integrity of the game was more important to stern, the owners, and everyone who made untold amounts of money through Jordan than the ridiculous amounts of money Jordan generated

Wait, is why a coach would want to be at Kansas instead of Illinois a serious question?? -
The biebs comparison is just embarrassing lol

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 15, 2014 -> 10:13 PM) Zzzzzzzzzzz As a person - LeBron > Jordan all day, everyday. Only Jordan jockers think he would be "untouchable." The gambling stuff alone would be magnified times infinity in 2014. lmao being a nice guy doesn't mean s*** in sports He wouldn't be untouchable because people like him. He'd be untouchable because $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
-
Dumb argument, but I'll play along. Jordan would be a god now just as he was back then. He would still be untouchable. And I cannot even imagine just how rampant extramarital affairs are and have been in pro sports for the last million year. It's a nonstory unless you add a bunch of craziness to it like the tiger woods debacle. And it's ridiculous to think that someone like LeBron doesn't participate in that in just about every single NBA city he goes to. Of course he does. What LeBron DOES get attacked for is character related to sports and competitiveness. He gets called out for having to play with other stars in order to win, for his whining, for his flopping... That image is what's most important for the elite player, and Jordan's competitiveness could never be questioned. I also think that Jordan would be a little smarter about it than kobe/roethlesburger/even favre...

QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 5, 2014 -> 09:08 PM) I mean he and Kaminsky beat a Jabari/Steve Taylor Simeon team. That was a great day of HS hoops at uic. Their student section was awesome. -
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 28, 2013 -> 09:09 PM) No, there would be no way to waive Bynum without paying the remaining year on his contract, and Boozer (or Rose) are the only 2 on the Bulls the Amnesty clause could be used on. It would still eat every cent of cap space the Bulls could have next offseason and possibly make it impossible to bring Mirotic over. There's an article on espn that says he's only owed 6 million if he's waived before January something so the Bulls could potentially save a bunch but unfortunately they lack the astuteness or foresight to trade Deng.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 28, 2013 -> 07:34 PM) I didn't even consider Deng because Deng expires this year and Bynum doesn't. That's just foolish. You'd need a top 5 pick in return along with Bynum to make that worth doing. That's why I'm asking if he can be waived along with amnestying boozer or not
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 28, 2013 -> 12:48 PM) It would make no sense to trade Boozer for him as Boozer can be Amnestied this offseason. The Bulls could potentially come up with some savings long-term by moving Noah for him or a combination of Gibson + Dunleavy, but that only would make sense if the Bulls got something additional back like a draft pick to make it worth doing so as the Bulls would be sending along a much better player. What about Deng? And can they waive him and still amnesty boozer? I dunno how that stuff works... Please trade Deng :/

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 2, 2013 -> 11:58 PM) Oh, remember last year when I said Paul George was a more athletic Scottie Pippen? I didn't mean it the way it sounded at the time. Now? Yeah, he's better. LMAO
-
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 26, 2013 -> 01:13 PM) That's the thing though, he can't, it not in his nature. The heavy workload still irks me, not that that's the reason for the injuries. I just think that's what separates him from someone like Pop who does a great job of taking care of his players when necessary.
-
I would not. He hasn't even scratched the surface of his scary potential...or something like that.
