  1. QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Jan 3, 2009 -> 03:25 PM) (Although, I'd love to see a USC or a Florida have to come north to Michigan, Ohio or Pennsylvania to play in the winter time). I liked your entire bost BTW, but I LOVE this comment.
  2. QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Jan 3, 2009 -> 03:27 PM) Indiana is about to open their Big Ten season. Whoopee Well, at least your football team got a good commit today
  3. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 3, 2009 -> 03:10 PM) He did trade Royce Ring, his first round pick for Robby Alomar, and signed Jose Canseco and actually apologized he couldn't pay him more than he did. So, your answer is never?
  4. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 3, 2009 -> 02:44 PM) They don't sound like KW moves? Have you been watching the same guy I have? When has KW traded a proven young first round major league arm for an older 2B, and when has he gone out and signed a notoriously lazy, overpaid, possible PED user?
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 3, 2009 -> 02:42 PM) Luke Harangody is the biggest whiner in college basketball. He is sort of a b****
  6. He's a lazy f***, which is part of his decline. The guy doesnt make adjustments and doesnt listen to coaching. That is not the type of player KW actively goes after.
  7. Why Bridgeport though? Its a nice enough area and has some extremely overpriced properties and some undervalued properties, but why is she looking at that area in particular?
  8. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 3, 2009 -> 01:31 PM) The only reason Illinois isn't ranked right now is because nobody expected them to be this good this year. Hell, they still will likely struggle at some point during Big 10 play but they clearly have been one of the top 25 teams in the country. Just like the only reason Louisville is still any where near the rankings is because they were ranked in the top 5 in the preseason. That is a terrible argument to use. And for the record I don't think Illinois currently has a top 10 backcourt but there really aren't a whole lot of truly great backcourts in college basketball this year outside of UNC. So you agree there was alot of homerism going around the entire argument? Is that what you are saying?
  9. QUOTE (Jimmywins1 @ Jan 3, 2009 -> 10:36 AM) This is from the original source of the rumor - http://masnsports.com/2009/01/revisiting-robertsfloyd.html Sounds like a rumor to drive up site traffic. He clearly is not aware of the value of Floyd, and also doesnt appear to have watched him pitch much. He checked out his stats on Yahoo.com and decided that it might make sense.
  10. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jan 3, 2009 -> 01:27 PM) Well that's a misquote if I ever heard one. I said if Legion and McCamey play to their abilities, which so far has not been the case, they were a top 15 one when put with two other pretty good guards. Sounds like you think they are a 10-15 backcourt to me, but I guess that wasnt what you really thought.
  11. "possible" OSU to OSU recruit for a TD. Boyd to Corey Brown.
  12. QUOTE (Felix @ Jan 3, 2009 -> 01:24 PM) Assuming you're talking about the Gopher/OSU game, definitely. It was terrible for both teams though. Either way, big win for the Gophers. I know OSU is struggling right now, but they really took over in that second half and they finally showed some rhythm on offense. Not to mention the backups did a really good job closing out the first half, which is encouraging to see. Minny is going to win that game at home 9 out of 10 times easily. But the refs letting the game go in that direction is what can hurt alot of B10 teams in the tourney. There would have easily been double the amount of fouls if it wasnt a B10 conference game.
  13. So far we have ISU as probably the best backcourt in the country, and Ill with a top 10 back court. Neither team is ranked and neither has a lottery pick on the roster. Is there some possibility that there is ALOT of homerism going on here?
  14. Wow, the refs in this game should be ashamed of themselves. Non call after non call after non call. Lets just put on pads then.
  15. Wow, I either totally overestimated Bama's offense or underestimated Utah's defense.
  16. QUOTE (danman31 @ Jan 2, 2009 -> 03:20 PM) So I guess you believe Ole Miss is also better than Florida. I am guessing at some point that made sense to you before you posted it. Im trying to figure out how I would draw a comparison between a Texas team pushed out of the title game because of a rule and a 5-3 in conference Ole Miss team.
  17. QUOTE (zenryan @ Jan 2, 2009 -> 02:34 PM) where did I ever rank the conferences? It seems common for Big 10 fans to start ripping on other conferences when people say the Big 10 is bad. Guess it makes them feel better about how bad the Big 10 really is. Your insight is magnificant.
  18. QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 2, 2009 -> 01:31 AM) well when your second best team is getting beat by another conferences second best team ... it speaks somethin. That said I don't like Colt McCoy and he may well suck. The Texas d-line will decide that game, if they decide to play. The only reason Texas is the "second best team" is because of a terrible rule that will be changed moving forward.
  19. QUOTE (Whitewashed in '05 @ Dec 31, 2008 -> 05:21 PM) I was a little disappointed. When I first got my PS3 I wanted to do something similar. Set up a media server, but then I realized the pain in the butt it would be to set up the media center in windows through media player and junk or download third party software... those aren't solutions I like. I modded my xbox1 a long time ago and use the media center software installed so all I have to do is connect to my shared folders and done! Play videos, pictures whatever straight from my computer. Which is what I wanted my PS3 to do. It sucks you either have to do their media center crap or copy everything to the hard drive. Huh? All you do is open Windows Media center on your PC and you can pull anything from the folders on your PC. Im not really sure how that is considered alot of work. It automatically identifies any movies, songs, TV shows and photos on my PC. You can play them all in HD quality over the network connection without downloading anything.
  20. Might as well just save the posts anyway since OSU will prob get smoked again by a team that should be in the national title game while OSU is only the second best team in an average Big Ten. Which will once again bring back the "speed" and "athletic" discussion about the conference.
  21. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 1, 2009 -> 07:45 PM) Whatever. When you see Big-10 teams get their asses waxed (these games aren't even remotely competitive) every year what other conclusion should one come to? I realize how good these teams are. But a competitive game is simply too much to ask for? This has become embarrassing. The Big-10 has been considered a weak conference for years by just about anybody who's not a fan of a Big-10 team. And that perception will not change as long as these pathetic showings in these bowl games continue. And I'm an Illini fan. Just keepin' it real. And yet you are only talking about one team getting waxed. There is plenty of talent in the Big Ten and the athletes are just as good as any other conference, the quality of talent on the field in the conference has nothing to do with OSU getting beaten by 3 great teams. The Bucks have one of the best RB, LB and DB in the country and yet USC made them look terrible. USC can do that to alot of teams, in every conference. I'd like to see a B12 team step on the field with that defense across from them.
  22. QUOTE (The Critic @ Jan 1, 2009 -> 08:07 AM) That guy will still pay $400 for two upper-deck tickets against the Cardinals. He already has his nice cubs visor layed out for opening day next season.
  23. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 1, 2009 -> 10:06 AM) Just wait till Lickliter can get a few more of his guys in, there style of play will be very unique in the big ten and they should become a consistent top 4 big ten team. Nice win for the Buckeyes though as at times Iowa looks like a borderline tourney team (at other times, not so much). They are extremely young though. And they played an extremely young OSU team. The B10 has top flight coaches and top flight players, Iowa will have to do alot of work to get into and stay in the top tier of the B10. Just ask Bruce Weber how easy it is to compete year in and year out.
