QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 23, 2016 -> 12:18 AM) I have one as well as an iPad for work. They both suck for business applications as far as I am concerned. The iPad is sort of just never compatible for the right tools I need, while the Surface is just a massive piece of s*** that always gives me problems. Basically, everything you ever thought you knew about Apple and Microsoft was reaffirmed for me in these two products. Agreed on all counts. IMO you get more mileage for work related stuff with a macbook air. The ipad to me is a larger iphone for watching videos and f***ing around.

QUOTE (RegionSox @ Nov 22, 2016 -> 05:46 PM) Purdue actually got a new AD back in September. Though even as a Purdue fan, i have no idea why Les Miles would want that job. Holy s*** a Purdue fan in the wild. Sorry for Hazell dude -

The reason for academic cheating is because a player may be in danger of being ineligible and a coach pushed for help for that situation. Laughable to keep yourself disconnected from it. Kelly is obviously getting fired and this is the scapegoat. -

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Nov 22, 2016 -> 08:52 AM) The bigger thing on this is that PFN was not pressuring the QB and as such simply throwing the ball as he did is not intentional grounding. In the OSU game, the guy threw it into the stands. This QB threw the ball in the field of play and one could argue the receiver just did not run his route. This happens in games all of the time and if the QB is not under duress, it is not a call you make. That aspect is on the officials who before enforcing the penalty should have gotten together and waved off the flag. If none of the five could get it right wave it off and go home. You would think after the OSU game someone would have gotten it right. There are much better ways to kill two seconds than this and this is as much on the Fenwick coaching staff as the officials. Take four steps back and take a knee. Run out the back of the end zone. Do not take a knee on on the other downs. This does suck for Fenwick though. Agreed. But f*** those rich Fenwick brats anyway -
QUOTE (raBBit @ Nov 21, 2016 -> 07:46 PM) There's a saying in baseball clubhouses, "Don't shower with the Dominicans." They don't have the homophobic society America does and they like to mess around. You are probably gonna get skewered for this comment but its true. It really is a saying.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 22, 2016 -> 07:07 AM) Well that was a dud of a game. They were dominating and getting scored on, thats usually a bad sign

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 21, 2016 -> 03:16 PM) I think we are a good draft and FA away from being a playoff team. This isn't to say that we should be expected to be a playoff team, but I think if we were able to find the right QB, upgrade our CB / Safety, and get continued development out of our young players (plus add a few more good ones), we are a playoff team. Now the QB comment is the major if. If we instead are going to take a young QB early and start him quickly, then I agree the process will take a bit longer. Three years is just too long (that would be 5 total years of rebuilding and in the NFL, that just isn't acceptable). That said, I agree they inherited a giant mess. They've GOT to draft the future QB of this franchise soon, if not its going to be a long decade once again. I like what they can build on defense, but offensively we have to draft and develop at the skill positions.

QUOTE (shipps @ Nov 21, 2016 -> 02:17 PM) I think many expected to see some development and some execution in their plan. As it stands now, Pace and Fox are divided. They appear to never have been on the same page. So many injuries, the appearance that there is no order in the org, no one on the same page, people pointing fingers and blame passing and when pretty much everything that could have gone wrong has gone wrong makes people a bit uneasy. A rebuild is one thing but when you lay the new foundation and start putting the bricks up again only to see things crumble from the get go is a whole different story. I guess I dont see any of this turmoil. I see a team with very little talent rebuilding through the draft and a few signings. I see a team that needs at least 3 good drafts to be competitive.
-
QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Nov 21, 2016 -> 01:47 PM) Why are Bears fans still being delusional about this being a quick rebuild? I seriously can't believe all of the comments from Bears fans about Pace, Fox, etc, we all knew this team was in terrible shape when they took over. It's only year 2 and we've had some good young players show up, definitely still have some holes but one point of sucking is to get better draft picks to fill those holes. I get that it sucks to lose but damn, this franchise was on a steep slope downwards, it's going to take time to right it and be good again. Many are being delusional, I dont think everyone is. I sure am not. This is going to take awhile and next draft is a big deal.

QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Nov 21, 2016 -> 01:33 PM) I've always heard that hospitals charge so much to make up for the people that come in to the ER off the street, get treated for whatever and then disappear and never pay their bill. Hospitals also bill incorrectly so often because people are lazy or arent exact when putting in billing codes. In another life I was called into a large hospital system in CA and they had entire departments who were hitting the "General treatment" key for every patient which messed up their billing system for years and millions of dollars. It was a disaster that caused a train wreck from the bottom up.

So Sing Street is pretty incredible./

QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 20, 2016 -> 09:06 PM) On this, I actually agree with you, Greg. Yes, it looks great that insurance pays so much of those huge bills, but the sheer amount of them is absolutely ridiculous. And we are all paying for that. Correct, the Revenue Cycle within hospitals and payers is broken as hell. It makes no sense.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Nov 18, 2016 -> 11:27 AM) health care should have never been a profit laden industry to begin with, scrap the whole damn thing and single payer. If you step back and check out how much you end up paying a year for health care its pretty crazy IMO. The entire system is broken.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 17, 2016 -> 09:25 PM) You work for larger corporations, you are fine. I own a small business. I used to have multiple options with full networks. Now I have about two options, with limited doctors and hospitals, and have been facing 20-30% increases every year. Since I have an individual plan, the carriers removed the best hospitals from my network, including the top pediatrics, which was the main reason I wanted the insurance. IN order to provide for the people who couldn't have insurance before, they have stuck it to small businesses and their owners who aren't part of the larger group plans. Large corporations are overwhelmingly moving to high deductible "consumer" health care plans with HSA's. I think its a pretty bad indicator of where the health care industry is going.
