QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Mar 5, 2007 -> 03:03 PM) I said it in late September of last year, and still beleive if I do purchase a jersey this season, it will be MacDougal. Is it because he looks like the guy from "The Burbs." Pablo>you Is it too hard to think pablo could lead off and start in LF? QUOTE(Kalapse @ Mar 5, 2007 -> 03:06 PM) Ozuna picks up the 2 out RBI single. 2-1 Sox. Oh god the announcers are starting up the White Sox OF talk. CUE THE IGNORANCE!!! Erstad singles to CF. They actually sounded much more intelligent about the situation than Len and Bob yesterday.

Mac was a freaking all star. It doesnt mean much these days, but its not like hes a AAA guy. How hard is it to be an announcer?
-
I blame him. Hes going to get paid as a top 5 player at his position. he is not a top 5 player at his position. He is getting paid as much as he should if not more. Agents are ruining sports.

QUOTE(Reddy @ Mar 5, 2007 -> 02:46 PM) good outing for mark - at least going by the box score. 5-1 GO/AO and 3 K's, only one ER off the homer. good to see theres our Buehrle According to these guys, MacDougal hasnt established himself as a regular in the major leagues.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Mar 5, 2007 -> 12:23 PM) The reason for all the Tyson hate on this board is all Hammer's fault lol, his chronic homerism about Chandler just turned everyone off, I actually used to be a huge Chandler fan and than I just got so sick of hearing abot hammer tell everyone how great he was I started disliking him. Well he was right about some things. Chandler is a great role player, he will be a good piece in a puzzle. But the kid is not a star. Out of the top 5 rebounders in the league, I think I would take him 5th. -
I think it was mentioned that he doesnt have the amount of pitches to make it as a starter in the big leagues. With roughly 2 pitches he would be more effective out of the pen.

2007 White Sox Predictions Thread

QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Mar 5, 2007 -> 12:44 PM) Anyone else get the feeling that the big story this season is going to be Joe Crede? I just have this feeling that he's going to be a .300/40/100 guy, win a gold glove and be a serious candidate for MVP. A solid player like Joe is likely to have one of those seasons where they put it all together and just go off, not that they'll sustain it through their career. No, in fact I think he might miss some games, and then Fields comes up and impresses. -
Christianity will continue to play down findings like these as a hoax, or "fake" because they feel like any such truths would undo the entire thread of religion all together. Fact is, people always need something to believe in and follow with faith and hope, and most of these types of things will not affect religion at all.

QUOTE(Balance @ Mar 5, 2007 -> 11:11 AM) I have a hard time finding any sympathy for someone who's going to make $7 mil next year and cry poor. No kidding. What does he really expect. I mean, sure, we will send you to the raiders or the Lions, happy career.

QUOTE(Felix @ Mar 5, 2007 -> 10:51 AM) Have a nice life Briggs. It was nice having him in the system, but thats just what it is... a system. He can be replaced. There are clearly good LB's in free agency. But how could he be unhappy about getting paid in the same level at the top 5 at the position? He wants a 6 year deal for twice what they almost agreed on before? Thats ridiculous.

Danks may not be a power pitcher, but the gun was also off a couple of MPH. He should sit in the low 90's 90-93 with his fastball and a mid 80's change. His change is undoubtedly a plus pitch, as he punched out someone to end the inning with it. His curve needs to be thrown for strikes and he needs to develop a cutter. But his stuff looked to me like future top of the rotation stuff. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Mar 5, 2007 -> 01:30 AM) me, I'd rather have struck a deal including two starters and a throw in rather than one starter, one reliever, and a throw in. Well, we got 1 starter, one swingman, and another good talent. Im not sure I would say he was a throw in. Masset could very well start for this team in a couple of years after time in the pen. QUOTE(zimne piwo @ Mar 4, 2007 -> 11:33 PM) No lie, it's the Laff-O-Lympics over there. Ever notice how they LOVE bringing that up, but then they NEVER say anything about Scott Podsednik knocking Barrett on his ass right after that? Wow, reading it now. They said that Ozzie puttng out ex-cubs prospects was a slap in the face, but the cubs rolling out 3 former sox pitchers was just their lineup getting set. -
Haeger looks good, especially in the AZ air which is murder on knucklers usually. The only run he gave up was on a fastball today, which is very encouraging. He will walk alot of batters and because of that I think he is best situated in the rotation. In fact, I believe that he should be the leading candidate for the 5th spot at this point.

I was impressed by several players today, notably Valido, Garland, Kong and Dye. Pretty good game all around by everyone. -

The cubs cannot stop overhyping some of the worst players ever. How can you sit there and say Cliff Floyd is a great player, when the guy hasnt touched the field for you yet. And calling the cubs a good team already is starting to make me sick. Newsflash: your team blows. Pinella running out almost his entire starting lineup against us was pretty hilarious too. Owens had a nice slice on that ball, i would like to see more at bats for him. -

I was just down in Mesa, that park and area is just terrible. They havent shown much of it yet though, probably for good reason. -

Bob and Len called the cubs a good team today, and said Prior and Wood could turn them into a "great" team. Since when did they become a good team? These two are easily the worst tv tandem in baseball. -

The OSU/Mich game had some of the most inconsistent refereeing I have seen in awhile.
