  1. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jan 19, 2007 -> 03:14 PM) Right, thats why he changed QBs midway through a game twice in the past 3 years. And thats why he changed Offensive coordinators after one year. And thats why he took out Mike Green, the experienced safety, and put in Chris Harris, a rookie. He just doesnt change anything. Base everything Lovie does on one game, thats really smart. You have to admit. When it comes to offense, he is somewhat retarded. Some of his QB choices has been ridiculous, and their downright refusal to make Benson the feature back at this point is hurting the team. He is superior to Jones, and should get more touches, but he wont.
  2. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Jan 19, 2007 -> 03:03 PM) That ones okay, but if I had ever been to one, not that I have been, I would say that Secrets is the best. Especialy if you get the 20% discount, if they had one, not that I would know. not unlike most people in Madison.
  3. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Jan 19, 2007 -> 12:31 PM) They sell em at all the local smoke shopes. For those of you in Chicago that means places like Secrets, Smoke Dreams, and whatever other places are in the Belmont/Halsted Area. They are supposed to be safes, and I dont think that they are a great idea for smuggling. Pipes and Stuff is the good one on Belmont. Not that I would know
  4. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Jan 19, 2007 -> 02:23 PM) Lovie is the same way. I argued that I thought the best running back tandem left in the playoffs wasn't as easy as most thought and a lot of that has to do with Benson being a non-factor simply because Lovie Smith does not like change. He simply doesn't get it. Agreed, at this point he is still a little offensively retarded. Thomas Jones is a more reliable pass blocker and receiver, but at this point Benson have proven to me that he is adequate enough at both disciplines to warrant him more playing time and more carries than Jones.
  5. QUOTE(longshot7 @ Jan 19, 2007 -> 01:49 PM) That's not true at all. How do you think all the illegals get around? Trunks.
  6. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jan 19, 2007 -> 02:05 PM) If Ron Turner realizes who the better running back is, then I agree that Benson should be pretty important. If it's like last weekend, where he had about four touches going into the fourth quarter, than we might be looking at trouble offensively. I personally think its Lovie's call which one is used. Someone needs to figure out that Benson is the best back. I really would feel comfortable with Benson and Peterson as our two headed monster.

    Raw Eggs

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 19, 2007 -> 01:49 PM) My buddy that is a semi pro body builder just stopped taking muscle-milk saying that his pro friends have all convinced him how terrible the stuff is. For a long time he was using it as a key part of his diet but now its non-existent. Don't ask me what it means though cause I do know a lot of people use it and like it since it gives a body builder the fat and other stuff they need to add mass. Its got a high fat content.
  8. QUOTE(Jimbo @ Jan 19, 2007 -> 01:46 PM) Bruce Levine knows as much as the little mice(interns) tell him. Isnt Samadja (whatev) projected to be a bullpen guy at best?
  9. Yes I have, they are still good, in fact i may have picked one up tonight if i wasnt hitting up Benihana's Its my second fav pizza bargain to hot n ready at little caesars on the way to US Cell
  10. My thoughts are that Peanut Tillman, Alex Brown, and Cedric Benson are the three most important players going into the game on sunday. If they all play well, the bears should win.
  11. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Jan 19, 2007 -> 11:45 AM) I agree. Great signing by Shapiro and Cleveland, I hope it isn't true. And if it is, I can't imagine why Theo and the gang wouldn't put a flier out allowing Wily Mo to become true trade bait for that closers role. It doesnt make sense for Trot not to get more interest that this one year flier from Cle. Boston could have easily fallen into the scenario that you mention here and actually grab a player of substance from someone for that pen. Good signing by Cle

    Raw Eggs

QUOTE(redandwhite @ Jan 19, 2007 -> 11:49 AM) You still need fat. I've always been a proponent of 2 full eggs with 5 egg whites in the morning. Relatively low in fat, extremely high in protein, and not very caloric. Of course if I was in a bulking phase I'd add a lot of toast, a banana/fruit, a glass of milk, and a big glass of water. Agreed. I like the whites/yolk ration being extremely high, but I like the fat in eggs as well. I actually usually used the egg whites in the container and would scramble them with veggies and additional protein. Then I got alot of my fat intake from musclemilk and oats when i was bulking. Eggs and chicken really are awesome.
  13. QUOTE(dmbjeff @ Jan 19, 2007 -> 10:59 AM) Actually they are all still in MLB, maybe not Grilli though. Just because they didn't flourish here, doesn't mean they didn't become productiv somewhere else. Wow, someone did take the bait.

    Raw Eggs

If you wanted to bulk up with lean muscle I would suggest just eating lots and lots of cooked egg whites, raw eggs can make you have VERY loose stool FWIW.
  15. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Jan 18, 2007 -> 05:27 PM) Ohio St is really coming into its own as a program. I also agree with you that on the road in college basketball, even the best teams can lose which justifies those losses in my opinion. And I also agree with you that the Big Ten is rather weak this year. I see no problem in this argument with Rock, I just happen to think this is one of Ohio St's best chances, if not the best. Similar to George Mason last year, Marquette in 2003, Oklahoma in 2002, Ohio St with Boston College recruits in 1999, Minnesota in 1997, and my favorite UMass in 1996 to name a few.. Hell I'd even add in that last years Boston College squad had the best chance at a National Championship than they'll ever have. Excellent point. Also, because RockRaines blocked me and I can't send him messages, this was directed in PM for him: I'm not an angry IU fan by any means. I think Ohio St has a good team, I just don't happen to think they're going to be this incredible program year after year that you seem to think Matta is turning them into. Also, as greasy indicated, while Ohio St did play three tough road games, -I've already said are pretty much a crap shoot even if you're the best team in the nation- I don't necessarily think Ohio St has done anything that Indiana hasn't done and with us playing both Wisconsin and you guys only one time each, we should have a very solid chance at being a 1 or 2 seed in the Big Ten tournament and as a result could be placed rather high in the NCAA tournament. Of course, we could lose every game from this day forward and none of that would happen. No hard feelings on this issue, I wish that we never had any, but it is what it is. I agree with you, in no way was I attacking you or anyone in this thread. In fact I think of Ohio state as a good team right now, not even a great team. The only reason I have lots of confidence in the program is because of Thad Matta. In two years as a Buckeye, Matta has more wins than any previous Ohio State head coach after two seasons on the job with a 46-18 record. Matta is one of just two coaches nationally to post 20 or more wins in each of his first six seasons as a head coach. The 2006 Big Ten Conference and USBWA District V Coach of the Year, Matta tied an Ohio State record for wins by a rookie coach (20) in 2004-05. Gary Williams, currently the head coach at Maryland, posted a 20-13 record in 1986-87. Matta (2005 and `06) and Williams (1987 and `88) are the only two Ohio State coaches to record 20 or more wins in each of their first two seasons in Columbus. If you have a coach come in and immediately become one of the best you have had, it makes you think that the program is on the up and up. Especially after he didnt exactly inherit a program filled with stars players from another great coach (Jk Illinois fans) but he took over a program that was mired in negativity and NCAA violations. Also there is some fallout from the success that Tressell has had on the football field and alot of that positivity flows over to the bball program which is proving to be great in both mens and womens. Also the reason that the team could fail is Thad Matta. He has proven that he can coach inferior talent to high levels of success like he did at Xavier and Butler. At this point he hasnt really proven that he can coach teams loaded with superior talent, which could be his downfall ultimately. He has proven that he can recruit though and that is a huge positive. Keep in mind that I do not think that they are an elite team by any sense of the word at this point, but there is a great feeling of a team and program that has alot of potential moving forward. I actually believe that the Big Ten, although down this year, are in store for some very good years ahead of them with Mich, IU, Purdue, and MSU having great talent coming.
  16. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 18, 2007 -> 05:02 PM) We're only saying something because you had to take a jab at SIU playing IU. And you wouldn't have said anything if it wasn't R&W wasn't the one to make the post, since all you do is follow him around. Do everyone a favor and put him on ignore. We get it; you don't like him. Whoa I didnt take a jab at anyone but the big ten. Beating the big ten isnt exactly saying much this year because its weak, that was my point. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 18, 2007 -> 05:03 PM) I'll second that. thank god. I'll make a point to not jump in on cbball discussions again, obviously the irate Illinois fans have been replaced by irate IU fans. funny thing is, I actually really like IU, i've been a huge Bob knight fan since way back when I was young. It was my second choice of places to go to school. But im sure i was just trying to be an ass here, and not actually say something rational.
  17. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Jan 18, 2007 -> 04:49 PM) Scratch that. Ever. Whats that based on exactly? We have right now the 6th best recruiting class coming into next year, not to mention the studs we already have on the team. We also have a great coach and a great program. What about that points to never winning a national title? QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 18, 2007 -> 04:59 PM) How far did you go into the tourney last year, remind me? 2nd round and then you were blown out against Georgetown. Matta might be a solid recruiter, but will you be happy with another second round flameout? So apparently Matta cant coach in the tourney, is that what you are saying? Or are you just saying that last years team overachieved? Whats your point here? Just hating on OSU?
  18. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 18, 2007 -> 04:47 PM) It's funny to listen to Ohio State fans think they are all high and mighty in basketball. It's not like you blew IU away when you got them at home. You won by seven and it was actually a lot closer than that. I believe we led fairly late in that game. In fact IU is pretty much your signature win along with Tennessee. Other than that, you've been beaten (badly by Florida I might add) by the other three top 10 teams you have played. Your non-conference schedule was cream puff. Enjoy your one year of Oden because if you don't win a title this year, you're not going to win one for a long time. Jesus, IU fans are somewhat angry huh? Its not my opinion I was stating, its alot of people's opinions. The big ten is pretty weak this year, I think anyone should realize that. As for saying we got beat badly by top ten teams, well if you play the 1,2,3 teams in the country on their home floor, I would say the chances of you winning those contests are not great, dont you agree? Also if Oden leaves (which I dont think he will) we still have some of the best young players in the big ten on the floor. Matta has proven that he can recruit some great players, and can even coach also-ran players deep into the tourney. Without "God-Oden" we won the big ten regular season last year, remember that? Dont forget about the other 7 foot plus beast we have coming in next year to possibly replace Oden, and the Mr Basketball of Ohio. its not like we are rival teams, im wondering why so much angst towards OSU, did they do something to you guys personally or something?
  19. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Jan 18, 2007 -> 04:19 PM) Southern Illinois looked pretty darn good against Indiana at Assembly Hall earlier this year, and we're one of the better teams in the Big Ten. Thats not saying much as there are basically two good teams in the big ten a pack of passable teams, and then the bottom of the barrel.
  20. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 18, 2007 -> 08:42 AM) Actually I based it on my noticing the pitching was faltering during spring training. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?s=...t&p=1068724 pwned.
  21. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Jan 18, 2007 -> 12:33 PM) If you have money like Vick cant you just pay some one to drive your stash to your selected destination? God damn. On the other hand atleast he was using some sort of contraption to get it on board. Not to mention it could not have been to much, my guess is between 3.5 grams (1/8) and 7 grams (1/4). Not sure you could really fit more into a 20oz water bottle, which even makes it more stupid. I mean how hard would it be for Vick to find an 1/8 anywhere he travels? Alot of those guys will charter planes to their destinations to bring drugs/whatnot with. Also why hide it in your water bottle? Its just as easy to put it in your sock or your pocket. Not even lighters set off the metal detectors.
  22. Hope they are ready for hurricane Urlacher!!!!!!!!!!! wow that was lame.
  23. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jan 17, 2007 -> 10:39 PM) What are you looking to "Teach" her? Taking my GF to 10-15 games a season the last two years, and watching a ton with her has really made her a pretty good fan. She knows her stuff. Yeah, its probably good practice for if you will have children. You have to point out the things in the game, and more and more each time. Evetually you teach the finer points after the learn the basics.
