  1. Seriously, I need some advice on how to power level. This game gets so tedious.
  2. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 22, 2007 -> 02:45 PM) ya this is a crappy thread, but I still want to see Rex and the Bears accomplish the ultimate (win the Super Bowl). Right now we are still one more win away from greatness. What is possibly crappy about this thread? Check out some of the posts in the 3-4 page range, comedy.
  3. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Jan 22, 2007 -> 04:05 PM) It made me proud to live in Chicago Are you really? I mean, 2004 World Series Champs in your avatar, BC in your sig, on a white sox board constantly talking about Boston area teams? Im just sayin...... Manning did say that the patriots were classy and i saw bruschi go up to him and talk to him, with Peyton getting visibly emotional afterwards. I know Manning said something about the offensive coordinator (i think) and the Patriots owner or GM coming up to him, I cant recall anything about Bellichick. Of course his interview after the game was typical mumbles and grumbles, but he DID lose the game and he has somewhat of a right to be upset especially with how competitive he is. I dont fault him for that at all. In fact I napped through most of that game, it, nor the players in it really concerned me, especially the losing team. If the Bears were golfing against them in a scramble next week, maybe I would be concerned, but they are done and we are in the Super Bowl.
  4. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Feb 10, 2006 -> 02:07 PM) I didnt think someone else would have that silly idea. But then again Rock, SBIMI is a lawyer, the smartest man alive, he bench presses 18 wheelers for fun, and dates all of the victoria secret models at once. Maybe he could be onto something and we are all just missing it. That reminds me, Crazyman have you told us your IQ yet?
  5. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jan 22, 2007 -> 09:01 AM) Im pretty sure thats what you meant. And you are 100 percent right. It was insane how fast he was getting out of his stance when Brees said hike. There was a big deal made about how rare it is to sack Brees and how the Saints dont turn the ball over much, and the Bears totally dominated both of those categories yesterday. I dont understand how Rex didnt have a good game to tell you the truth. Given the conditions, and the fact that he didnt have any turnovers, I was really happy with how he managed the game. The Bears knew this game was going to be won on the ground, and thats what they did. The passing game was secondary yesterday, and Rex's numbers refected that. Whoops, yeah thanks for the correction. On one play he was in the backfield before brees took 2 steps. It was unreal. Anderson is truly turning into a premier pass rusher for us. The Saints didnt know what to do against our edge guys and the DT's were blowing up their center play after play.
  6. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jan 22, 2007 -> 04:25 AM) Steal of the draft in my opinion. Much love to Jerry Angelo. He was WAY too fast off the edge for the colts. Not to mention he looked 100% better than at the start of the season against running plays. The guy is somewhat a freak of nature.
  7. QUOTE(JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Jan 21, 2007 -> 10:16 PM) actually it looks like the early line is indy -7 As the ESPN analysts keep talking about Manning, the line will move.
  8. QUOTE(JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Jan 21, 2007 -> 10:12 PM) do you guys agree with this assessment? http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/writ...ents/index.html Hahaha. I hope everyone keeps saying those things over and over. IN fact make Indy a 10 point favorite. We can all see how GREAT their assessments were of the game today.
  9. Money being throw around like its fake at this point. Hes making about as much as konerko, pretty good deal for the Phills considering the market, but wow they backloaded this puppy.
  10. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 21, 2007 -> 04:51 PM) If the Bulls could do a say Nocioni, Gordon, Brown and Duhon for Gasol and Warrick, I think they should jump on that. Not including Deng would probably be a deal breaker though, unless they're real high on Nocioni. I just think if the Bulls could get that inside scorer, it could help put them over the top in the East (which is wide open this season). Why the hell would you trade your leading scorer for that package??? It makes no sense. Ben Gordon is your best scorer hands down, you dont trade him at this point.
  11. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jan 21, 2007 -> 05:44 PM) I love how the first question the media asks Urlacher is about Reggie Bush showing him up by pointing and flipping into the endzone. Coward fell down several occasions rather than take a hit, and just took advantage of the touchdown to showboat. He really wasnt much of a factor other than that score, which was a bad play by the bears more than anything. He can showboat all he wants, they got completely dominanted.
  12. The Bears pretty much showed that the Saints and their 6 losses were overrated from the start. They basically didnt know what to do offensively or defensively to counter the bears. The defense showed up and the running game dominated the pace. Looking forward to Miami!!
  13. Deng is a future superstar on this team, no way you give that up.
  14. QUOTE(THEWOOD @ Jan 20, 2007 -> 04:24 PM) I am in the need of finding a store that sells great meats and sausages. Any suggestions of places located in Chicago would be helpful. Thanks in advance. There is an old school butcher shop on halster and grand where you can get serious cuts of meat if needed, including large suckling pigs.
  15. That UCONN team sure played their age. IU looked impressive early. White needs to get more touches.
  16. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 19, 2007 -> 10:22 PM) I don't know what UDF means, but if I had to put the gas station chicken up against Jimmy Johns for a single meal, the gas station would win. And Jimmy Johns is basically my 2nd favorite meal ( Next July, wedding in South Bend, I don't care which JJ's, I'm getting a f***ing sub) UDF is a gas station/conveinance store in Ohio. It stands for Uniter Dairy Farmers. Its kind of like a white hen but with ice cream and dairy products instead of a deli. they have 50 cent hot dogs 24/7 and they are good drunk or sober. Awesome QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jan 20, 2007 -> 03:06 AM) Hell yeah, Rock. They've got ribs now. I love me some Little Ceasers. Ever hit the one down by the Cell on Halsted? Always have fresh breadsticks.
  17. QUOTE(lord chas @ Jan 19, 2007 -> 09:26 PM) henson was way more accomplished in baseball than samardzija though. he set a national record for homers in h.s. so at least you could justify it. if samardzija wasnt an NFL prospect he wouldnt be getting jack but leave it to the cubs to overpay I still think this guy doesnt taste the majors.
  18. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 19, 2007 -> 09:11 PM) Man, do I ever miss the chicken that they sold at the gas station at the corner of route 6 and McCool rd. but that's a bit beside the point. 50 cent hotdogs at UDF.

    Raw Eggs

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 19, 2007 -> 07:09 PM) Its basically really really high fat milk (think more in terms of breast milk than normal milk). At least thats my understanding of it (but I'm sure Rock or R&W can give you a better explanation). And it works good if you are doing cardio yet also trying to build mass, because the cardio would prevent you from building mass, but having something like muscle milk gives you additional fat to help you build mass (if you are looking to bulk up). Again this is an explanation from a non-body builder through stuff my body building buddy has mentioned to me (and I'm sure I botched the details up). Basically a protein shake mixture. http://cytosport.com/products/musclemilk.html
  20. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jan 19, 2007 -> 04:37 PM) That makes a lot of sense. Let's bench a guy that's rushed for over 2500 yards the last two years for Peterson? Benson is playing better. But not enough to supplant TJ. And TJ is still a much better blocker. That's key when you know teams are gonna be throwing crazy ass blitzes at Rex pretty much all game. I said going forward, meaning next year. I think Benson is head and shoulders a better runner than TJ at this point and has looked good in pass protection and receivng of late. Peterson is good at pass blocking. Thats my thought process in case you were wondering.

I looove muscle milk, but I have been using Isopure almost consistently for the past year or so.
  22. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 19, 2007 -> 03:46 PM) But remember who got a ton of touches down the strecth of the 4th quarter and in overtime. God Benson is going to be a stud in this league, I can't wait to see him get more and more carries. That said, TJ is a pretty damn good player in himself. I hope the ego's can take a back seat and that we'll be able to use both of those guys a whole lot next year. This is a VERY opinionated statement: I honestly believe that the team would be better with Benson as the feature back and Peterson as the third down/sub going forward.
