  2. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Oct 16, 2015 -> 10:39 AM) I did Ashleys in high school. More like Ashlee's
  3. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 15, 2015 -> 11:27 AM) Wait, did you pay the $50? Tell them to go f*** themselves with that fee. If you're paying for a service and the service isn't being provided, it's THEIR responsibility to fix it. Tell them to reinstall the cable, provide a new dish, provide new receivers, etc. until it's fixed. You shouldn't pay a dime towards that. Yeah I just had a technician come to troubleshoot my box today and it was free. Not sure why they are charging for that. He swapped out the DVR and its perfect.
  4. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Oct 15, 2015 -> 08:28 PM) Ashley's has pretty good food and a great beer selection. I don't know too many other bars since I lived there in high school. As for restaurants, what're you looking for? My favorites from what I remember: Dibellas - sub shop, get the godfather on everything and be happy BTB (Big Ten Burrito) - great local burrito joint Knight's - fantastic steak house Metzgers - German food, very good Gandy Dancer - more upscale, in an old train station, excellent food and service here Jerusalem Garden - some of the best mediterranean I've had Real Seafood company - popular downtown place The Earle - another fancier place, but also very good Be Won - great Korean food Zingerman's anything is good, but WAY overpriced. Don't go to the Road House, place is a complete rip off. Plenty of other great places but those are the ones that I'm remembering best. Zingermans and Maize and Blue deli are great lunch spots. I hit them up regularly. Otherwise a pretty awesome list, you know what you are doing there.
  5. Thinking of swapping my wired genies out for wireless, any reviews on that? Should I expect any loss of quality?
  6. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 11, 2015 -> 07:25 AM) 5 picks!!??? One definitely wasn't his fault but yeah. He has a good game and they win.
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 11, 2015 -> 03:18 PM) Sarkisian going on LOA, sounds like he was hungover/drunk at practice today He's going to rehab. Priceless.
  8. QUOTE (danman31 @ Oct 10, 2015 -> 11:04 PM) Nothing would surprise me with Northwestern, good or bad, but they will win at least 8 games with their schedule. I'd be surprised if they don't win 9. The Big Ten West is historically bad, there's no game left they can't win. They still host Penn State and Purdue, which should be fairly comfortable wins. I still don't buy that Illinois is any good (they've played OK for two straight weeks, but that's still a team that lost to North Carolina by 34 points). Iowa isn't anything special and they come to Evanston next week. Road games at Wisconsin and Nebraska are tough only because they're road games, those teams are entirely average. Also, boat race? WTF? Yeah. Boat Race. Get stomped. I'm literally saying the opposite of what you posted. This is when they begin their free fall.
  9. Narrow escapes by TCU and MSU with that stinker late game and it wasn't the most exciting ending.
  10. Michigan is going to boat race Northwestern and then they will free fall back to their norm. Like usual. Northwestern that is.
  11. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 10, 2015 -> 01:11 PM) Ohio State struggling with Maryland now. I'm shocked by how poorly they are playing. I'm not. They've been uninspired since the VT game.
  12. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Oct 9, 2015 -> 08:38 AM) That's actually not true at all as they were going on this morning on The Score about the Astros and Mets. I don't consider the score in my local media rotation. It still surprises me when people listen to that station
  13. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 10, 2015 -> 12:35 AM) The story so far seems to be blaming it on forcing the Cubs to expand their strike zone (Phil Cuzzi, of course, Maddon was gracious enough to observe it was the same for both sides)...and also the possibility that Lackey ("I'm not accusing anyone" and then Ross inevitably did just that) was doctoring the ball or the Cardinals were putting balls that had been scuffed or fouled off back into play. The TBS k zone is what people are going by and it is horribly inaccurate. The Dodgers/mets game appeared to have the same "zone"
  14. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Oct 9, 2015 -> 10:38 AM) Right now, Utah and Florida have the most impressive wins. I'm not saying I think they'll stay up there or even that they're one of the four best teams, but based on body of work they deserve it as of right now. Well then it's power rankings not the meaningless poll rankings that we are subject to.
  15. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Oct 9, 2015 -> 09:46 AM) If I had to rank teams right now: 1 Utah 2 Florida 3 Ohio State 4 Oklahoma 5 Clemson 6 LSU 7 Texas A&M 8 Michigan State 9 Baylor 10 Northwestern I dont think its going to stay remotely like this.
  16. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Oct 9, 2015 -> 08:21 AM) Maybe, but Texas sucks and GT and USC already have 2 losses. Only hope for ND to get a signature win is for Stanford to run the table up until they meet. A 2 loss SEC team probably gets a spot over a 1 loss ND team and I don't even think I could argue with that. Thats definite I am sure. The SEC championship game is billed like its the super bowl. A 2 loss SEC champion gets in over pretty much anything.
  17. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Oct 8, 2015 -> 11:07 PM) Meh How many times has there been young talented teams that looked like a shoo in to win a WS and never have done it. Everyone here was positive the last team Maddon managed was going to win one and yet after their 08 WS trip, they never got close again. When the Sox won in 05, nobody and I mean nobody saw that coming before the season started. Baseball is really weird that way. Cubs fans, and most of the local media as well have NO idea there are actually other talented young teams in the playoffs with bright futures. No idea whatsoever.
  18. My neighbor just told me he was happy the Cubs made it this far in his lifetime..... He's 70 years old.
  19. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Oct 5, 2015 -> 03:06 PM) Not putting out any poison (young kids), plus I don't want it to die somewhere. Thankfully we are concrete slab and no basement. Not aware of any exterior cracks (based upon my checking) and my attic looked clean. I really hope when I get home the sucker is dead. I can't sleep knowing I got at least one rodent on the lose in my house. Ah I f***ing hate it. I have mice eating poison and dying in the walls, it takes about a week or two for it to totally decompose and then the smell is gone. I have the type of poison that is impossible for kids to get to and its also way up high.
  20. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Oct 9, 2015 -> 07:30 AM) There goes any chance of an 11-1 ND team having a strong enough schedule to make the playoff (still don't think ND goes 11-1 though). I stil think there are going to be a ton of 2 loss teams going for those slots.
  21. Tom Herman is the next head coach at Texas. Bank on it.
  22. I got told today by a Cubbie blue wearing "fan" that Maddon invented the W flag.
