QUOTE (Soxfest @ Sep 24, 2014 -> 01:26 PM) Management is SF not in love with JH anymore. Some team will be, he has an excellent track record in the NFL so far. -
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Sep 24, 2014 -> 12:49 PM) I know for my Uverse I have a wireless receiver and it works nifty. I am kind of surprised the satellite companies don't have the uverse. Genie is that stupid thing Direct TV advertises with no wires with the puppets right? My genie definitely has a coax coming in from the wall.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Sep 24, 2014 -> 12:44 PM) The other thing I didn't think of is isn't there that genie thing on direct tv now so maybe you only need to hardwire the line into one place, so then you don't even need a new wire. I'm not sure how genie works but I presume it gives you more flexibility so you run the genie into a spot where you don't need your TWC modem and then in the psot where you have a modem and tv, you have the genie wireless thing set-up and thus TWC feeds straight their and your direct TV goes over the genie. The genie isnt wireless, it has coax into each one.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 24, 2014 -> 10:18 AM) That would be my guess, someone would have to install something separate. It's separate. I have both Comcast and DTV and they run two junction boxes outside of my house into the outlets going into the house.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 23, 2014 -> 11:46 PM) I think you're overestimating how much success plays into it, I think the exact reasons he would leave would be the Saban train of thought. Have control over everything, and control your own players, not rely on GM/draft/etc. In the NFL you can't just go get better talent than everyone else. I'm just saying it's never happened before with a coach that's successful. -
So in madden I am accelerating through the hole and my RB keeps pitching or fumbling way backwards. Glitch?

I wouldn't have swung at all though.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 23, 2014 -> 09:17 PM) Lousy at bat by Carlos. Took the high pitch to center for the pop up. Damn. Sox gave it a good ol fashioned try. One hit from victory Carlos failed. Oh well. Trying to just make contact and flip it out there. I get it.

I expect the usual names like Miles and Gruden to come out as well. However I believe John Harbaugh is the most realistic and it's still slim. Like before I expect a name from a lower level program. -

Neither one of those guys were as successful as Harbaugh. -

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 23, 2014 -> 07:59 PM) He'll probably be on the outs in SF. Even if that were true he would command top dollar in the NFL. It's unprecedented -

QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 23, 2014 -> 05:03 PM) Rumors starting about Michigan going all in to get Harbaugh. It's do far down the line, I don't even want to start thinking about the process. Yeah, not many successful NFL coaches go back to college, well maybe zero have. I would say thats a wish, not realistic. -

QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 23, 2014 -> 09:41 AM) It looks like the Jets game plan was anticipating that the Bears would throw everything at the run game with Decker hurt, so they decided to hit quick passes between the hash marks. It was there all game, and they executed it pretty well. This has been my main worry about the D. Last year they were so bad that I wasn't confident that even if our run game improved the passing game was a worse option for teams to exploit. But last night I feel like they are close, and with so much turnover it will be a matter of consistency and reps. That said, DJ Williams is still not showing much at all. Thats surprising, I saw a ton of people that thought he had a hell of a game. -

QUOTE (dasox24 @ Sep 22, 2014 -> 11:13 PM) At first, I thought that last play was PI too. But upon replay, Vereen does get his head around. Good no call. Especially because it was out of bounds anyway. It also appeared to have more contact than it looked in review. Officiating was poor overall last night. -

QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 22, 2014 -> 05:39 PM) That was bad but for the most part the atmosphere at baseball/basketball/hockey games (at least of late) is nowhere near the drunk douchebaggery of football games. You'll have your 1 or 2 dudes out of control, but at football games it's all around you. At the rams game a Bears fan threw a rams fan down the stairs, and the bears fans then started cheering and yelling at the rams fans wife. Agreed. College football is also terrible. -

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 22, 2014 -> 05:28 PM) Sports fans in general are pretty awful. We saw ALOT of fighting in our seats in the LF bleachers at the Cell around the early 2000's. I never understood the desire to get in a fight and get arrested all while paying for a seat to watch a game. It's just strange to me. -

QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 22, 2014 -> 05:02 PM) Football games are just out of control. I think I mentioned this here, but I went to the bears rams game in STL last year. It was disgusting and awful. Bears fans you'd think were the worst except you realize that the scum of the earth somehow shells out all of their money to go to these games every week. For how expensive these games are they are really filled with a large population of trash. I went to an away game at Cle and it was horrific. -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 22, 2014 -> 02:07 PM) That's great in theory and all, but there aren't many Barry Alvarez-type coaches out there. Recruiting "talent" who may not qualify is still better than recruiting 4 & 5 year MAC-caliber players. I dont fully agree with your statement because the Big Ten coaches are missing on players that play in the MAC and could make their programs incredibly more competitive. I could drop at least 20 names right now in Ohio that will end up in the MAC and are better than what Purdue, IL, IU etc are putting on the field. I think they need to put more time and effort into their recruiting program in general. -
QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 22, 2014 -> 03:49 PM) Nope, just like the taste. I smoke flavored cigars too, but not because of any buzz I feel, I just like the taste. I haven't smoked this hookah pen in about 20 minutes and I can still taste the watermelon on my lips. Buy some watermelon bubblecious
