QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Sep 4, 2014 -> 04:24 PM) That, too, would be quite the gesture, but who really wants to go to Detroit? Apparently Cowboys stadium is also in the mix (puke). -
My wife fell into an unrepaired hole around a manhole cover last night and fractured her ankle. Should we sue the city like a bunch of money crazy mf'ers?

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 4, 2014 -> 04:03 PM) My freshman year of college we had a guy who had a girlfriend back home. They'd been dating for just a little while before he started college. They weren't a "long" distance away, but 3-4 hours driving and with school and everything they went 5-6 weeks without seeing each other. So of course she starts sending him webcam videos of herself. And of course he proudly shared them with our group. He wasn't interested in dating her long term, but while he was getting these videos and striking out at school, he kept that relationship going. That's what you have to consider with those photos/videos. Once you send them, you basically have to assume that the guy is sharing them all with his friends immediately, and then holding on to them for life. Libby Hoeller or whatever her name was got burned by this, I believe she changed her name.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Sep 4, 2014 -> 03:53 PM) Exactly why I think they should play one of the games at Ford Field. The word is that may be the second 2 pack of games, possibly working that out as we speak. -

QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Sep 4, 2014 -> 03:49 PM) This gets announced on the eve of ND's "last" game vs. Michigan? That's not a coincidence, more like a finger. Of course it is. -
I'm glad the internet barely existed when I was a reckless teen. s***, we wrote a fake newspaper in high school just making fun of and berating people including the school, 7 issues of libel. Today I would have been expelled.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 4, 2014 -> 03:29 PM) Lol, so you are one of those dudes. I'm 32 and have been with my wife for nearly 10 years. Haven't been in the dating game a LONG time. I was chatting with some girl friends of mine who are younger, 24-25, about these nude pics and they were telling me that they constantly get hit up with dick pics from guys they meet. They'll just immediately send out a dick pic through a text. I wondered, who does that? Why do that? There's no way I would ever do that. 33 here, I am glad I missed this trend, if I was a college freshman with my long distance gf I probably would have done this s***. I mean, how many girls want a dick pic?
-
QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 4, 2014 -> 03:41 PM) I've never sent one through text, just snapchat. And never unexpected either. lmao. It's all girls I meet through Tinder, so you already know they are down when they give you their snapchat username. You should try cyberdust instead. Snapchats can still be saved.

QUOTE (Boogua @ Sep 4, 2014 -> 03:31 PM) The problem is that I'm sure he's trying to sell both of them that they can be the starting PG from day 1 with Tracy graduating and only Tate in front of them. He can't promise them both starting positions because there is no way one of them starts over a JR Nunn or a SR Cosby. I think you've nailed other coach's pitches to him regarding why he shouldnt go to Illinois. -

QUOTE (daa84 @ Sep 4, 2014 -> 09:59 AM) Emery's first draft was using the entire previous regimes scouts, and scouting process/system/reports/grades. This was widely publicized at the time of the first draft, im not entirely sure why this has been forgotten already. at the time of the 2012 draft, everybody said we had to realize that the draft was largely a product of the system Angelo had implemented, as Emery did not have time to institute his draft scheme. Much of the blame for that horrendous draft (shea, Hardin, Rodriguez, Frey, McCoy), as well as the credit for Alshon (though Emery was ultimately the one who traded up) should go to the previous regime. In my mind, I am grading Emery's drafts starting with 2013. Shea, to me, was an obviously terrible pick at the time. -
QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Sep 4, 2014 -> 12:42 PM) C'mon man don't act like you haven't sent it anywhere I 100% havent taken or sent a nude picture of myself.

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 4, 2014 -> 07:26 AM) Being celebs, I doubt they've ever heard of two-factor, considering 99% of the people I know don't know what it is or use it, either. Google has a decent 2-factor implementation, though even that has it's shortcomings, but Apple's is just ... a sad excuse for what two-factor is supposed to be, to the point I don't even bother using it (yet). That being said, famous people are probably the easiest hack targets considering any personal information/security questions about them are freely available on the internet if you want to spend time searching for it. You can probably find their exact email addresses to know exactly where to begin, too. In a way I'm glad this happened, well, I'm NOT glad a bunch of girls had their private/intimate lives spilled all over the Internet by some sad crackers (NOT hackers), but because it's doing exactly what I had hoped would happen for a long time, it's going to force people to start being smart about their usernames/passwords, and force companies into rigorous security practices and hopefully, full on two-factor usage. Get a password manager like 1Password or LastPass and start using it for EVERYTHING. If you can spell your passwords, or know your passwords even via acronyms or letter substitutions, your passwords are too weak. Even my Soxtalk.com password, I couldn't tell you what it is...I have to copy/paste it, because it looks something like this: j*ekDapR2V01Df Password vaults can still be hacked, especially the trend of having cloud-based ones. At the end of the day, why are you taking nudes on your phone?

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Sep 4, 2014 -> 09:13 AM) My source in the ND athletic department has a new position and doesn't get any of the good inside info any more. He had heard that there were discussions with OSU, but there are discussions with lots of teams. I hope one of the neutral site games is Ford Field. What could possibly piss off Michigan fans more than Notre Dame and Ohio State playing a big game in their back yard? The thought I'm hearing is NFL stadiums in Midwest like soldier field etc. it would be awesome. We also scheduled Texas for those years as well. -

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Sep 4, 2014 -> 06:45 AM) Did that get finalized? I hadn't seen anything. Do you know what years? Starting in 2022. Announced two games now but I'm hearing it most likely will be four. The other two may be neutral site. -

QUOTE (zenryan @ Sep 2, 2014 -> 06:33 PM) I was dying at the trivia question. He said the answer was 2011 and Danielson questioned it and then after the break Verne corrected himself and said it was 1911. haha and then there was that kickoff by either OSU or Navy. When the ball was in flight, Verne said it was a good kick, only to see the ball land about 10 yards into the bench area for a penalty. It was the other way around. The answer was 2011 and he said 1911. Kept saying wrong names. -

QUOTE (zenryan @ Sep 2, 2014 -> 05:15 PM) Tune into the SEC game on CBS and listen to Verne Lundquist. That guy is a train wreck and needs to be taken out to pasture. He was actually doing PBP of a replay last year and it took until the end of the replay to realize it wasn't live action. He messed up about every single OSU players name, then he messed up the trivia question. -
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 2, 2014 -> 02:03 PM) Can someone ask to interview Buddy Bell about Jared Mitchell's prospect status, haha? Do you really want to know?

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Sep 2, 2014 -> 03:14 PM) Troy Aikman and Joe Buck are by far the worst announcers. Maybe ever. Watch a Big Ten basketball game and get back to me. -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 2, 2014 -> 03:31 PM) It is very, very different, which is accurately being portrayed in the media. The situation on the streets of Chicago, is nothing like ISIS, and vice versa. Right, people should feel safer here than in a foreign war torn land where people voluntarily ventured. Thats why the killings here effect me much more than those ones.
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 2, 2014 -> 03:09 PM) How many gangs kidnap people, hold them hostage, torture them, and then make movies to broadcast their killings, all overlaid with messages about terrorism and overthrowing the government? Many in south america. Instead of having reasons for murder, we have senseless murders of innocent people in Chicago because of things like what corner you are standing on. Which one is more ridiculous?
-
QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 2, 2014 -> 02:25 PM) I think the whole world is too insensitive like your above comments. To me, an American or two getting their heads sliced off is beyond horrifying. I can only imagine what it's like to be sitting there having some British asshole berating Obama as you kneel there and prepare to have your head sliced off. It is beyond belief. It is horrid. It is f***ing against humanity. And yes I hate all the murders, every single one, in Chicago. The link to all the shootings in Chicago over the weekend is equally disturbing. Innocent people getting picked off left and right. http://voices.suntimes.com/news/breaking-n...ight-shootings/ Or maybe people have it in perspective that 2 murders-although horrific- are a drop in the bucket to what we see in America on a daily basis. I would rather try and control whats happening in my own city than in a foreign country where reporters roamed where they KNEW it was dangerous.
-
QUOTE (raBBit @ Sep 2, 2014 -> 02:07 PM) This analogy is being used far too much. Should we be incredibly alarmed that 2 people ventured far into unfriendly territory and were murdered? Maybe the analogy hasnt been used enough.
