QUOTE (Y2HH @ Feb 24, 2014 -> 12:35 PM) The complainers are also the ones that give you like 100$ for 2-4 plates, too. One of them gave me a book on how to make money instead of cash.

QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 24, 2014 -> 12:05 PM) I think Clowney will be dominant, but I do think questions about his motor are warranted. But in any questions about his production, it should be noted how much offenses adjusted to avoid his side of the ball. They ran away from him, they rolled out away from him on passes. On the other hand, Mizzou had Britt our OT (maybe a 7th rounder, but he only benched 22 reps) go up against him solo and he really didn't do much that game. Their D as a whole was stout but he didn't and should have that game. Every team gameplans against the defensive stars on the other side of the ball. It's not like he was any different than other top notch DE's when it comes to planning. If I am a bad team I want to draft a player that I KNOW will be an effort/leader guy on defense IMO. -

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 24, 2014 -> 11:41 AM) I don't think anybody said he's not trying, but doing what he can to not overexert himself when he's getting double teamed when the guys going up against him bigger than him (up to 40-50 pounds more) is not the worst thing in the world. The DT on his line got 10 sacks and the other DE was up there too with like 8-10 (or so I thought I remembered seeing). A guy with Clowney's talent, no I have no problem with his "lack of motor." Hey if thats what you think proves he will be a success, thats you. To me, I'd rather have a JJ Watt type player who has a motor and skills at the same time. He was double teamed his entire last season at Wisconsin, and even with a double team he produced more solo tackles and TFL not to mention sacks. I believe in those players more than non-effort guys, even if he was packing it in for an NFL contract (which is also a red flag to me). -

QUOTE (scs787 @ Feb 24, 2014 -> 11:40 AM) Aaron Donald ran a 4.68 with a 10 yard split that was just .03 slower than Clowneys. Dude backed up what you see in his ridiculous highlight videos....If the Bears don't bring back Melton, and Donald is there, that's my pick. Kareem Martins 10 yard split was .03 quicker than Clowneys....If he makes it tho the Bears in the 2nd I'd bust a nut with a Donald/Martin draft. for D lineman I put a lot more stock into the 10 yard split and the cone/agility drills. DE's arent going to be running 40 yard unimpeded sprints very often. -

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 24, 2014 -> 11:25 AM) And if he goes crazy and tries to get around a tackle, a half back undercuts him to take out his legs, and he tears his ACL, costing himself millions of dollars, are you going to say he's smart? If I were the Rams, I'd try and get Cleveland to move up, and then I'd take him at 4. So he was smart for not trying? I think thats a pretty ridiculous assumption that he was going to tear his knee by trying. 4.53 official time BTW. I still dont get how the electronic time is not official. -

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 24, 2014 -> 11:03 AM) The guy was constantly double and triple teamed and there's no need for him to go above and beyond because he saw what happened to his teammate Marcus Lattimore when he tried to do too much and got undercut - he went from a 1st/2nd round pick to a 4th round pick. Clowney is still going to be a top 5 pick. So he's the first good college player to be double teamed? Watch his film. The guy will be a freak a certain percentage of time but still has no motor. I think he's a waste of a top 5 pick IMO. -

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 24, 2014 -> 10:36 AM) Clowney ran a 4.4... His speed was never the question. The guy has no motor. The official 40 time probably wont be a 4.4 since he ran a 4.47 and 4.48. Official times have been slower. -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 24, 2014 -> 10:35 AM) That is awesome. That is the stuff I am talking about. 2 friends have stolen it from then but it was our DJ's idea. Everyone "left" gets in a circle around the bridge and groom arm in arm and then everyone kind of sings. It was awesome. Ours was a NYE wedding so this was at like 1 or 1:30 and a good portion of people were left. Probably 100.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 24, 2014 -> 10:20 AM) 100% true. It is YOUR night. Do what makes you happy. 90% of the people will get that. f*** the other 10%. They'll f***ing leave early anyway. The group I cared most about was around for the Piano Man finale of the night. Those are the memories I care about.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 24, 2014 -> 09:47 AM) Seriously, you are the one spending all of the money for it, and you have to live with it for the rest of your lives. Who cares what everyone else thinks. Do what will make it YOUR wedding, and have fun doing it. Someone is going to hate something. We had freaking surf and turf at ours and it was awesome IMO and a few people complained saying they didnt like steak or lobster. Someone will hate the music. someone will think your venue sucks (ours was our friends contryclub). I had a great time, our friends an immediate family were in our suite until 4am and thats all I really cared about.

House of Cards never seems to go the direction I think it is. I find myself talking to the characters telling them not to do certain things. All signs of a great show.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Feb 23, 2014 -> 01:30 PM) Rock, how do you like flying? The general experience? I would assume your seats are all upgraded since you fly for a living. Do you give a thumbs up to the airlines or not? Are you horrified by the thought of being in the regular cabin vs. first class? I have been flying for work for a good portion of 10 years with peaks and valleys. Some years over 200k miles and some less than 100k. The funny part is I actually have a decent fear of flying, well at least taking off. Most of the last few years I've flown almost exclusively Southwest. The reason being because Midway was easier to get to, cheaper to park at and was always easier for me to get through security and the airport in general. SWA has a great program called A-list or A-list preferred that allows you to skip the line and always be in A regardless if you check in or not. I also tend to upgrade to business select which guarantees me one of the fist 16 seats on the plane. Most "business" flights to where I go have the same people every day so you actually make some pretty funny friends that are going to the same companies you are. My minneapolis flights were my favorite since their airport is AWESOME and it was always out of the same gate at the same time. If I have to fly another airline I usually choose United since I still have their credit card and some status from years ago. If I am going to denver I like Frontier because of where their gates are located. I almost never fly first class for work since I like to save upgrades for personal travel. Nothing is better than taking your wife on vacation and plopping down in first class where you both can relax. The funny thing about business travel in general is that its not as great as people think. When I was in my early 20's and single it was great to get away and buy an expensive dinner, but living in hotels starts to get old, spending your days in airports tends to wear you down and you just get sick of the thing overall. These days I try my best to take day trips if I am flying less than 3 hours each way. I'd rather leave my house at 5am and get back at 8 or 9 pm then staying in a hotel overnight. As for the height things, I'm 6'1" about 195 lbs. SWA is perfectly fine for me but If I am on United I am doing economy plus every single time.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 23, 2014 -> 02:28 PM) Now that's not very nice! I rescind your invitation Sorry bro! The thing about weddings is that a good portion of people there will be talking s*** about it. Whether is location, colors, food, booze, music. Someone will think something you did was stupid. My wife and I weren't crazy about spending our money on much but food booze and transportation. I'm sure people were taking s*** about our homemade centerpieces. Fact is, it's my wedding so I don't care. As long as your family and the wedding party have fun, the rest is bulls***.

It's your wedding so do what makes you happy. However no we didn't, thank god.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 23, 2014 -> 08:12 AM) They are just shutting everything down defensively. Only 3 goals given up in the tourney with five minutes to go. Backstrom tested positive for a banned substance, that's why he's out today. It could just be something from an allergy medicine, but wow. They were coached beautifully throughout the tournament. Lots of adjustments that worked. Good job. Best team won IMO. -

Canada has gotten better every game in the tournament. They are downright dominant right now. -
QUOTE (Y2HH @ Feb 23, 2014 -> 05:54 AM) P90X is almost all cardio, even the "strength" routines are more cardio than they are strength. They always have been, so if you're doing P90X, you're doing cardio. The original had some good isolation strength routines. 3 really loses that for more total body moves and less breaks. It's even more cardio.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 22, 2014 -> 02:04 PM) Do you realize how much a $20B valuation is? I'm not saying its a bad company or anything along those lines. I'm saying that based upon its performance and upside its not even close to what it is. The tech multiples are absurdly overpriced compared to everything else on this planet. At some point...profitability doesn't support ridiculous valuations and a massive bubble implodes. This is no different then a housing bubble...tons of s*** sells at ridiculous prices, not supported, eventually appreciation goes away and people realize the shell doesn't fit/work and thus, huge crash. That said, it isn't like there aren't other multiple supporting this...those multiples are all absurd. People need to take steps back and realize a lot of what is driving this is there are some tech companies with a lot of cash and very few ways to invest it. s***...I need to find some tech company to buy soxtalk based upon these absurd revenue multiples. I could retire before they figure out it doesn't actually make money. Afterall, my website is hosted on the "cloud". Your last paragraph pretty much proved you don't know much about the space. And that's ok. Is it an insane valuation? Maybe. But you need to learn more about their value and what it does before you make that judgement. Just having something on the internet is a laughable comparison.

American is my least favorite and I travel for a living. Avoid it like the plague.

It's 30 min 7 days a week with less breaks. It's pretty similar.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 22, 2014 -> 01:08 PM) There is nothing all that special with the cloud stuff as far as I'm concerned. Only way you can really differentiate yourself is through excellent security and that is primarily all handled by similar outside parties anyway from my understanding. It isn't like this companies have some sort of patent or just ingenius thing that they do that makes them worth the mega multiples. My point is nothing will prevent others from succeeding in the space and even the big tech companies from getting involved and that will keep margins down and really make it hard to turn these things into the cash cows and profitability machines that those insane multiples indicate. Sounds like what Siebel said about salesforce.com years ago. They were very wrong. "Cloud stuff" is incredible over generalization.

Drop box isn't just storage anymore. It's a direct competitor to Box and that space is really really popular right now especially in large business.
