QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Dec 11, 2012 -> 06:54 AM) Buster_ESPN A very respected agent who is canvassing the catchers' market thinks that eventually, there will be a reunion of A.J. Pierzynski/CWS. This is Olney's tweet. Who knows? Maybe the teams are lining up to sign AJ and he is slowly willing to sign with Sox for cheap or he might be the next Jermaine Dye. Team's arent lining up for AJP like his agent may have thought they would.

QUOTE (danman31 @ Dec 10, 2012 -> 10:39 PM) The polls don't matter at any point. That's the beauty of college basketball. Eh, not completely true as it matters at the end of the year for seeding somewhat, but you are right in that getting caught up in the polls is a waste of time. In fact I've had the experience the last several years where the entire awesome regular season meant nothing at the end of the day. -
QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Dec 10, 2012 -> 03:23 PM) There were six linemen taken between McClellin and Jeffery that are now starting. Would have been nice to trade down and pick one of them up. LOL, I was just searching for that. I mean, thats ridiculous. Its even worse that we picked a 3-4 rush end instead. How about the players drafted that are starting in general Weeden Reiff Hightower Mercilus (5 sacks 19 tackles) Zeitler (12 starts) Harrison Smith Doug Martin David Wilson Fleener Upshaw Janoris Jenkins Silatolu Glenn Martin

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 10, 2012 -> 03:12 PM) s***, draft an o-line with all 7 picks this draft. I think I had that exact post a year ago, and then what did we do?
-
QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Dec 10, 2012 -> 02:56 PM) It's not just the first round. They could have still taken a guy in the 3rd or 4th round. I know but there are starting tackles selected right after McMuffin that are producing in the NFL. Such a ridiculous draft pick. He lets go for the 34 pass rushing LB!! We run a 4-3 for god sakes.
-
QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Dec 10, 2012 -> 02:51 PM) The Bears not taking at least one o-line in the last draft was amazing. But we NEEDED Shea McAsshat to run by the QB over and over till he gets hurt.

Everything is on sale. They have so many tickets available for 27 game plans as well. The ticket rep calls me 2-3 times a day.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 10, 2012 -> 02:44 PM) In this case it was really one guy. Gabe Carimi. Rachal was actually pretty good, Louis was as well. Carimi was bad, and Webb continues to be bad. But the thing that happened here was half of the bad was replaced, Scott replacing Carimi. The rest of the line and TEs are helping out Webb. The focus on protecting Cutler is narrowing. And I am not trying to say I like Tice as OC, because I really dont, but I think the crap he has been given for O line is just that, crap. Hard for me to be mad at him for not turning below average players into stars Tice hasnt been as advertised but hell, we have the best QB we've probably had in my lifetime back there and we are plugging holes with crap. How many O Lineman are starting right now in last season's draft that were selected after our pass rushing LB/DE that we drafted? Its moronic to me.
-
QUOTE (RZZZA @ Dec 10, 2012 -> 02:27 PM) I really think Tice needs to be blamed for that. The Oline is his baby, and it's an ugly baby. We have a bottom 5 Oline every year. He's been given absolute s*** to work with.

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Dec 10, 2012 -> 01:57 PM) There was another throw down the seem that was thrown over Davis' head, Kellen has this habit that once the ball is thrown he turns and squares up with the line of scrimmage, killing all of his momentum and forcing himself to leap for a ball that should be caught in stride further down the seem. He is truly one of the most worthless players I've ever seen a Bears uniform. One or two balls looked too high for him would have actually been easy catches if he continued down the field. He is a horrible TE.
-
QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Dec 10, 2012 -> 01:07 PM) The Bears dropped 6 passes and 2 were TD's. The first INT was a result of Jeffery falling down. Did you watch the game? Hester's drop was ridiculous and was a game changer.
-
QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 10, 2012 -> 01:06 PM) He did throw two costly picks. I thought Cutler played well for the most part, but he should be criticized for how he played, especially early on and later in the game. One of the picks was because the receiver fell down the other was overthrown to a horrific receiver he shouldnt have targeted ever, but was definitely his fault.
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 10, 2012 -> 01:02 PM) If that is the case, thank God the Twins have refused to deal him. That is a horrible contract, and there is no promise that getting out of Target Field would bring back his power. It would bring some of his power, you can tell by the spray charts and what other players do when they visit. Second, although his contract is bad, its not horrible. If you could plug him in at 1B for the next several years in US Cellular he would be worth it.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 10, 2012 -> 01:01 PM) Too bad he wasn't ready to play last week... Huh? Do you think the loss was his fault or something?

QUOTE (flavum @ Dec 10, 2012 -> 11:31 AM) So who is they mystery "lefty impact bat" that the Sox want to add? Cano? Mauer? If the Sox mgmt thought they could get Mauer they would unload almost anything.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Dec 10, 2012 -> 12:32 PM) Illinois #10 in both polls. First time in top 10 since 05-06. There was a 0% chance I thought we'd be ranked in the top 10 at any point this season. I would have bet we wouldn't be ranked at all at any point, really. LOL at 3 AP voters not ranking them at all. You should not be allowed to vote if you're that stupid. Doesnt matter at this point anyway. -
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 10, 2012 -> 11:15 AM) Pre-2012 season Meyers was rated #28 prospect. He did have a big year so he probably would be considered higher now. Pre-2004 season, Jeremy Reed rated #25 prospect. Plus Olivio and Morse. I don't consider the price for Shields as excessive as most. Prospects are prospects until they prove otherwise, and really for the Royals to win they are going to need pitching. Doing what they did or paying ridiculous amounts of money in free agency is the only way to do that quickly. I just don't see Shields leading them to the promised land. I also think Shields>>Freddy. I dont think the price was excessive at all to be frank.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 29, 2012 -> 09:57 AM) I've never used one before, but my thoughts on 3D televisions is that they will never really breakout until they figure out a way to use them without glasses. Until then, I'd have a hard time being convinced to buy one. 3D hurts your eyes alot sooner than regular TV does. Thats why i dont think I would really ever invest. I do like going to 3D movies at times but once again about halfway through my eyes get tired and I need a break.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 10, 2012 -> 10:37 AM) Speaking of blinders, Kansas City has had one winning season in this century, and that was with 83 wins. Like the state they are from, you've gotta show me. They are perpetual losers until they prove otherwise on the baseball field. Baseball America rankings don't mean a damned thing. Better park Larger attendance "Win Now" All at the same time referring to the Royals? LOLLOLOLOLOLOL

QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 9, 2012 -> 12:18 AM) I love watching Michigan play right now. It's still crazy to me that the best college player when I was growing up, the Big Dog, now has a son playing college hoops. I'm a huge T. Burke fan after seeing the Journey with him and your boy Sullinger. By far the biggest recruiting miss Matta has ever made. Its not to say Shannon Scott wont become a good player maybe even great, but Burke is a program changer.
