  1. QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 01:33 PM) Really hope we're done with that family. Not sure why they would bring him on in the first place. Clearly his brother got a good percentage of the little brains their family has.
  2. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jul 18, 2012 -> 12:42 PM) Yeah, lots and lots of buildup. WoW is going to be phenomenal I feel. You still have a few surprises coming. OMG, one of the best books Ive ever read, but f*** that ending. I also just finished the last Hunger games book, wow, talk about someone in a hurry to wrap everything up, pathetic.
  3. Greg, I love your new posting style, seriously.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 02:44 PM) It is amazing how much Soto has flopped since his ROY season. Ster-oids *clap, clap*
  5. I was told Dempster to the Sox was a hard "No" but i guess anything can happen.
  6. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 10:35 AM) An MRI showed that Garza still has fluid in his triceps, won't pitch til after deadline. There goes his trade value. I would give them Danks straight up for Garza right now.
  7. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 12:09 PM) Funny, I wrote an article about that this AM. http://flapship.com/teamoutlaw-really-penn-state/
  8. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 12:10 PM) We're the market leader in MRO, based out of Lake Forest. Ill be over there next week ironically enough. We just hired one of your ex-IT staff.
  9. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 12:06 PM) Ahh...we use something called Airwatch and something called Junos Pulse to log into our VPN. I'm one of the first people to get a corporate iPhone so our IT department seems to be a bit lost. VPN on devices is tough, especially since most people are bringing their own these days. We allow you to log on to the apps themselves instead of having to maintain a VPN session. Ipads are really making cloud applications valuable but at the same time weakening security. For us, it means alot more business. For example a local Pharma company is now using ipads to manage shipping of product instead of those RFID scanners because you can take a picture of the pallets before they leave the warehouse. You can also then track who the person was that approved the shipment because of the token on the device. Pretty f***ing cool stuff.
  10. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 12:01 PM) Manufacturing, Repair, Operational Ah ok, there are a few. One I am working on right now to help with federation to cloud and internal apps and I have many of the others as customers. One of the largest in the area is down in Peoria which allows me to see the "real" illinois The way we work with Iphone and Ipad apps is to ensure that you dont store user names and passwords in your keychain and use a protocol called OAuth2 to use an encrypted token to SSO you into the apps but also allow revocation of said token if you are laid off. Good way to control devices but not actually CONTROL them since almost nobody buys iphones for employees now.
  11. QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 11:56 AM) Maybe the price is that high for just about everyone? Maybe, some pitchers have longer contracts though which ups the value. The Cubs seem to want high ceiling pitching prospects back for any of their MLB arms which makes sense. AZ has a few pens arms available for probably some minor league position players or a decent MLB-ready pen guy. There are varying moves we could be making. If KW really believes that Danks will come back sometime in August and will add a potential middle of the rotation talent to his roster then he is probably going to add a pen arm if anything which could be had with our current minor league system. We really dont NEED a 1-2 starter because we have Sale, Peavy and Q which is at this point one of the best top of the rotations in baseball.
  12. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 11:46 AM) Yea I do, I'm sure you can guess it, large MRO distribution company. I dont know what MRO is though. I googled it and still dont know. Medical Records?
  13. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 11:39 AM) At my company we use RSA's iphone app to log in via VPN (we're switching vendors soon, most likely to Entrust). We have also built SAP apps that allow our sales reps to access SAP and pretty much order, sell, whatever they need to do for any of our customers through their phone. Our sales reps no longer carry around laptops, it's pretty cool. Alot like what we do but we integrate with those two factor guys and dont require a VPN. Do you work for a big company here? Maybe you are a customer. I have about every large company in the midwest area under my umbrella.
  14. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 11:34 AM) Hey Rock, what programs/apps do you guys use to implement iPhones and iPads into your company's email, calendars, intranet, etc? Or do you guys just use mostly Apple software to begin with? We are 100% gmail/google platform so we use the native email client with the "exchange" function. You utilize your imap password. As far as application access for ipads etc we use our own product which is essentially federated single sign on and shows up as a portal in a box basically. We are ALL macs and ONE Dell for about 400 people.
  15. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 11:24 AM) I agree with Rock. No way is Kenny purely fixated on Zack. Unless teams are trying to acquire our players proactively, I can say that there is no way.
  16. QUOTE (danman31 @ Jul 25, 2012 -> 03:20 PM) Anybody buying Mountain Lion for Apple? Worth getting? The features don't impress me, but maybe there's something I'm missing. My company is testing and deploying it for all of our laptops so I can give a report when I get it.
  17. I disagree that Greinke is the only one they are going after, in fact I believe they have multiple oars in the water.
  18. QUOTE (zenryan @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 07:54 AM) the pussification continues. +1. Man I wish we had another home and home with each other the next couple of years.
  19. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 27, 2012 -> 09:47 AM) #TeamOutlaw Nothing like hitching your wagon to a term that means doing whatever you want without regard for the law (Sandusky). I thought PSU kids were supposed to be smart.
  20. QUOTE (Frank_Thomas35 @ Jul 26, 2012 -> 09:53 PM) Rock, you hearing anything? Your pretty dang solid and have had some great sources in the past. A little, but I dont share them on the board anymore outside of PM's.
  21. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 26, 2012 -> 10:51 PM) Holy s***! 98 OPS+! HOW DOES HE MANAGE THAT?!?!?!?! LOL, I guess the term "lately" must have escaped you.
  22. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 26, 2012 -> 08:17 PM) The Tigers are likely to be back in first place in another hour or so with Verlander.
  23. Even mentioning trading Viciedo for a rental shows that you arent really throwing out realistic options. No GM in their right mind would do that. Have you seen the kids numbers lately?
  24. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jul 26, 2012 -> 12:52 PM) I haven't seen any legitimate reports saying that, and I agree if that is happening then it's slimey, no matter the bias. The reports are from extremely biased woe is me PSU bloggers. Sketchy info at best.
  25. Mitchell is in AAA now, either for trade fodder or for a promotion.
