  1. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 29, 2012 -> 04:31 PM) http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaab-the-da...580--ncaab.html Kevin Jones wouldnt be a bad shot for the Bulls. Also Im a fan of Jordan Taylor, but the pick of Teague makes it less necessary. Jordan Taylor+Teague wouldnt be bad IMO. Taylor is a pretty good shooter from distance too. Also Buford got a bad rap for some reason at a camp, but he's a streaky shooter that will be useful in the league, he's alot like Dequan Cook. And I know I'll catch some heat but I'd love to see the Bulls try out Shurna for a bit. He's a deadly shooter and tall.
  2. Keith Law has his story teed up when one of our prospects fails. Waiting, waiting, waiting
  3. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jun 29, 2012 -> 02:56 PM) They've done extensive benchmarks, it's slower. From PCWorld: (It's artificially gimped by Apples rules) Chrome for iOS might be a useful browser if you use it on your desktop already, but don’t rush into thinking it could become your default browser on iOS. The reason is that Chrome is slower -- and can’t be faster – than Safari. This is because Apple is restricting the use of its Nitro JavaScript engine to Safari, while other apps don’t have access to it. Interesting, I honestly dont notice a difference on my ipad. The bookmarking is wonky though
  4. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 29, 2012 -> 01:52 PM) I think that if Cleveland keeps this up, Dan Gilbert will need to worry about Lebron's kid winning a championship before Cleveland. Dan Gilbert is too busy buying up the entire downtown detroit area and selling stupid fathead posters.
  5. I thought Denver and Indiana had the worst picks with Cle and Toronto coming up right after them.
  6. Cruise and Holmes getting divorced, hope it finally comes out that hes gay
  7. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jun 29, 2012 -> 06:19 AM) As a follow up on this post...Chrome on iOS is just ok...it's slower than Safari, but it has a better interface. Mostly due to Apples self imposed protective walled garden rules on other applications/web browsers. It's one of the drawbacks to the Apple closed ecosystem...but I still think the benefits of it outweigh the drawbacks...for now anyway. Mine isnt running any slower. Cant figure out how to put a shortcut to it on my ipad desktop yet though
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 29, 2012 -> 10:26 AM) Contract is up and looking at the Iphone. How much memory should you get? Are you going to use it for mp3's and movies, then get the bigger ones. I have the 16 gig and its plenty since I listen to pandora and use my ipad for movies and such.
  9. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 29, 2012 -> 12:28 AM) That is said around here quite a bit and I just don't buy it. He was a great, great player from 2006-08 - the Jays didn't give him that huge contact based on one season. He was having a bit of a down year in 2009 when the Sox claimed him, and then everything went south when he got to the Sox for whatever reason. He was good in 2010, and then he looked absolutely horrendous last year and because his swing was so tight, choppy, and mechanical. Not only is he standing straighter this year, but he looks smoother at the plate too. It really isn't a coincidence that when Rios plays well, the Sox play well. There have been a ton of other contributors this season as well, but he's as valuable, if not moreso, than anybody on the team when he's playing well. I dont understand what you are saying here, are you saying he's NOT an every other year player? Because if you look at his stats its support by every year but one. Its extremely consistent. Because Im lazy and tired lets just use BA .286 .262 .302 .297 (the one year he didnt go back down) .291 .247 .284 .227 .305
  10. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 28, 2012 -> 05:33 PM) With a week to go in a long lost season? Negotiating with the total approval of his current team that didn't want him? KW prolly held a party praying Ozzie would negotiate with the Marlins. So the answer was Ozzie quit on the team, correct? The rest of your post is bulls*** fluff.
  11. Switched my 16 in approach to moving my feet and adjusting to the ball. Been hitting dingers to left and triples to right ever since.
  12. I miss when they were all New Years day. Waiting over a week is stupid.
  13. QUOTE (gatnom @ Jun 29, 2012 -> 03:53 AM) In a direct quote from Robert Smith: Not that I believe Jabari will end up choosing Illinois. The ties to Nunn could be very important, though. Not unless ILL is filling the pockets of his HS and AAU coach.
  14. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jun 29, 2012 -> 11:01 AM) I have a hard time buying the black comment given how far Perry Jones slid (before someone brings up the medical report, he was projected at like 19 before that). Drummond, Leonard and Jones all have very good measureables and none of them went top-5. You could argue that Leonard was better than those other two in college, but none of them really dominated. I wanted PJ3 to fall to the Bulls so bad. I think he's a top 5 talent in this draft.
  15. I guess I am done cheering for Sullinger forever, f*** the celtics, although I liked both of their picks. There were some serious head scratchers last night. Why did indiana draft psycho T part deux?
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 28, 2012 -> 01:52 PM) Phelps really got outgunned in one of his best events last night too, the 200 m fly. Eh they arent peaking yet, its a long way until the actual olympic final.
  17. It wasnt Ozzie or Robin or his approach or stance or anything. He's an every other year player. Its consistent.
  18. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 28, 2012 -> 01:54 PM) I think most posters would say I've said enough on Ozzie. This "quit on the team" stuff is tiresome. Did Rios quit on the team? Did Dunn? It's easy to spout such a simplistic phrase. Do grown men and women really think Ozzie Guillen quit on the White Sox? Which one of those guys with additional years on their contracts was negotiating with another team during the season? There is only one right answer.
  19. QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Jun 28, 2012 -> 12:40 PM) That's post-ASG though. IIRC, MLB has a rule that starters that pitched on the last day before the ASG can't pitch in the game. Correct which is why he wont pitch, but he will be there. 1st in ERA, WHIP, 4th in wins. He's an All star.
  20. I like it better than the kid from Vandy.
  21. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Jun 28, 2012 -> 09:47 AM) Sale and Stanton are my two favorite MLB players right now, and one will be in the HR Derby and the other might be the ASG starter. Wow. Sale wont even be eligible to pitch in the ASG because he is starting that friday. Sorry to disappoint.
  22. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 28, 2012 -> 08:38 AM) One of the greatest urban myths in Sox history. Other than Podsednik, that was still a power laden team. They hit 200 homeruns, and the majority of the playoff games were by timely home run hitting. They were a great pitching team with timely power hitting. We DID win a few games by straight small ball but the team really did most of its damage early in the season by getting ahead and shutting teams down with the starters and the unreal bullpen.
  23. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 28, 2012 -> 08:46 AM) He's going to see Andrews...I don't think there has been a diagnosis yet. Torn elbow ligament. Its confirmed, he just wanted another opinion and see if he needed surgery.
