QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ Jul 29, 2011 -> 10:12 AM) Anybody know of a good app to listen to AM 670 or AM 1000? The score has an app I believe.

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jul 29, 2011 -> 09:54 AM) So at the grand old age of 25, 30 and 32 she was discriminated against.... Just from reading this. At age 25 and one year on the job she was passed over for a manager of partnerships position.......ok Then at the ripe old age of 30 and 32 she was passed up for a senior management position........ok Sounds like her father/attorney has some free time on his hands. When screwed over at your current job, do what your male co-workers do, get drunk and quit. Find another place to work.

QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 29, 2011 -> 09:39 AM) That said, i personally like having a separate ipod for entertaining. It's ridiculous when someone uses their phone for a playlist. NERD. I have 3 ipods. My iphone simply doesnt have enough room for my playlists. I also like a small one when I work out (shuffle)

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 02:16 PM) Roy Williams maybe, but nothing else for WR QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 02:22 PM) The Bears will have no interest in Roy Williams. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 03:00 PM) I disagree, it was mentioned in the paper today that they may have interest. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 29, 2011 -> 06:55 AM) I thought the Bears had interest in winning; I guess I was wrong. LOL, just noticed your sig. Wow, still rocking it eh? That's over a year of prime real estate! EDIT: Let me go and say that I'm disgusted that the Bears chased down Roy Williams with the amount of talent that's on the market. -
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 10:52 PM) I don't care if he gets the top ten ranked prospects in baseball. If they fail, he failed. Sorry, that's life. Trading away proven guys for prospects is always risky. Not everything goes as planned. Just like signing a oft injured vet to a huge contract while he's injured/fails most of the duration. Its all a risk, regardless of what he does.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 02:14 PM) Are you saying the Bears are not looking to address the d-line or the WR position? Roy Williams maybe, but nothing else for WR -
QUOTE (hi8is @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 02:09 PM) From MLBTradeRumors... Funny. What kind of "evidence" are they looking for? I'm sure their interviews with the Cubs, KC, and Mariners FO really shined some light on what we are doing with contending teams.

QUOTE (kwolf68 @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 01:59 PM) As a baseball fan I love this time of the year, but seeing this thread and Rosenthal (who knows his stuff) tweet has me thinking it's time to head to the liquor store. You WIN with guys like Danks. I am literally sick to my stomach he's being mentioned here. Jackson, had to be done...dumped a tree stump in the process. Got RP help for this year and good arm for down road. Thornton? Sure...we're safe in the pen for now and I think now may be the time to move him. I get it....I even get it with TCQ...love the guy, don't really wanna move him, but the timing may be right and maybe we can start to right some wrongs with that deal. But trading John Danks? I aint seeing this one. I wouldnt count on Danks being traded.
-
QUOTE (Real @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 01:38 PM) i think one of our fellow Sox posters who has inside sources said Danks most certainly isn't on the table unless they decide to burn it down and start over I would say Danks is being asked about, but not dangled.
-
He's not going to be dealt today. But its nice that we are asking a ton and are waiting for the market to come to us. Thats being an actual GM.

QUOTE (WCSox @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 01:50 PM) What we need is another bat. Right now, Quentin comprises one half of the productive hitters in our lineup. Trading him for anything other than an above-average veteran bat would be a step backward. Nah, it would be a step forward for the franchise to acquire top 5 prospects and also put your best in your major league lineup.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 12:34 PM) Hell, if you get a great package for CQ, then you can put Rios in RF for 2 weeks while Viciedo recovers. Let's face it...losing Quentin this year probably eliminates you from the AL Central pennant chase. If Dayan is healthy I honestly dont think we lose much by plugging him in RF when Q gets dealt.
-
QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 12:24 PM) But if we ended up trading for a pitcher from the Braves we should just put Rios out there.Thats all Im saying. But Im all for a bidding war. The good news is we have about 3 teams in on Q who have some serious young talent to trade for him. Thats a HUGE factor in deciding to move him.
-
QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 12:24 PM) Any of their young pitching would be fantastic. +1. And we know that KW is VERY eager for some talented young pitching.
-
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 12:18 PM) @Ken_Rosenthal Ken Rosenthal Source: Braves "hot" for Quentin - and #WhiteSox love ATL's young arms. One holdup...the condition of Viciedo's thumb at AAA. Would replace Quentin for #WhiteSox. Hasn't played since Saturday. The asking price is going up by the minute.

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jul 27, 2011 -> 02:02 PM) Paid. I don't pirate software, or anything that can possibly be recoded and have back doors inserted into it, especially when we are talking about 30$. Downloading it now from the app store for my imac. Looking forward to checking it out. I usually pirate these, but this time Ill take your advice since I have so much s*** on this imac that I dont want anyone to access (1+TB)
-
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 12:01 PM) LOL, WHAT? Is that a joke? f***ing s***, I would be fine if Kenny through in Matt Thornton and any prospect not named Viciedo/Reed if it meant Brown, Singleton, AND Cosart. That's beyond video-game level trade. Its like an OOTP trade that people protest.

Jackson & Teahen to TOR for Frasor & Stewart (RHP)

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 01:25 AM) http://mlb.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=15969701 Condensed game. Wow, the Jays play terrible defense in that game. Our IF alone would have sucked up alot of those hits. Wow, both teams ugh. Pitching to Bautista with 1B open? Idiotic. -
QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 11:44 AM) Getting Brown + for Quentin is rape and pillage. Its bonerrific to think we could get a top 5 prospect for CQ, add a player or two to that and its unreal.
-
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 11:40 AM) Maybe not for $12 million though. (Although that's about what Dunn is making for OBP and little else) I'd take Fuk for 12 over Rios for 12.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 09:50 AM) I hope they didn't talk about a player like that, because that would be really bad on Tony's part. Cowley was speculating that KW is bringing in TLR next season and having Rasmus would derail that. I dont agree, I think the cards wanted a player that we didnt want to give up. -
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 28, 2011 -> 10:25 AM) It's offical, Fuku to Cleveland. Quite the signing that turned out to be. Thank you Jermaine Dye, Shingo & Iguchi for forcing Fuku to turn down the Sox higher offer and sign with North Siders. To be honest, I would have liked his OBP on the Sox.
