QUOTE (danman31 @ Mar 8, 2011 -> 12:45 AM) Haha I raged pretty hard at that game the last time I played it. That was a couple weeks ago. Online play would be fun, but all people do is shoot 3s. With lag it's impossible to block them. It's called NBA Jam, not NBA Threes. I'm a pretty hardcore alley-ooper, threes are dumb in that game.

Its a tourist haven, there are a s***load of things to do there. You'll see when you hit the main strip. They also have killer mini golf.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 8, 2011 -> 10:42 AM) OSU's story was cheating too and it is much worse that Tressel lied about it. Just looked what happened to Bruce Pearl, who did something wrong and than got caught in a big lie. I still dont see the parallel in your statement. Bruce Pearl himself committed a violation, told parents to lie about it and then was confronted and lied again. Tressel apparently "was notified" by an unnamed source that his players did something wrong. This probably happens 50 times a day in their email boxes, their voicemail boxes and by letters alleging players did something wrong. OSU self reported this violation to the NCAA when they received evidence that it actually happened and pretty harsh sanctions were handed down for players selling their own property. I'm sure the NCAA looked into the timeline of these infractions and didnt find any evidence that it was known within the program. Still not sure where the cheating angle comes in in comparison to trying to recruit players illegally and paying for them like Oregon did. I will add that if there is something concrete where he held a meeting and willingly covered something up, then he should step down, but it will take quite a bit to prove a cover up. -

Now this is cheating, and not actually just rehashing a story that already has caused sanctions. http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/news...cr-oregon030311 -

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 7, 2011 -> 10:18 PM) Nah they'll figure out a way around it. Sure Tressel is a cheater, but so are almost all of the coaches of top programs. He wins games and brings the school money, so he'll go nowhere. Exactly. They already investigated this, and not sure how it is cheating. Though I'm sure a "yahoo sports investigation" was much more effective than a federal one. -

Beltin' Bill Melton: I'd like one of those with surges, or satchels, and martians. Domino's Pizza Guy: What??? Post of the year for me.

QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Mar 7, 2011 -> 03:21 PM) They can keep it out there, not a fan. Its still pretty cool for a ballpark brewery to draw up a craft beer that has become so widespread.

Wait, how many years has Beckham been on the Sox Melton?

Oh Hafner, I remember when you scared me every time you were up to bat.

They are really making alot of this "crying" thing in the media today.

QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 7, 2011 -> 02:31 PM) There will be at least 20 runs in this game in Glendale. That wasnt even a full swing.

How the f*** did that get out?

QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Mar 3, 2011 -> 10:25 PM) Never been there, but I know this much: you can buy a Budweiser at Coors field, but you won't find any damn Coors at Busch Stadium. But they also invented Blue Moon at Coors field.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 7, 2011 -> 11:25 AM) I'm in agreement that it's pretty asinine to compare different years. The problem is that this year there haven't been a lot of top 5 vs top 5 kind of games where one team clearly dominates another. Duke beat one top 25 ranked team this year and they're still probably going to get a number one seed. Ohio State's best non-conference win was an average Florida team and then a couple of good Big Ten conference wins. In 2005 at least, Illinois and UNC played a lot of top 25 teams and crushed most of them. All year long they were the two clear dominant teams. This year you just don't have that. There's about 6-7 teams that could win it. Finally some rationale on why these comments have been made. I will argue however that there have been a small handful of teams that have been at the top of the rankings pretty consistently this year, unfortunately scheduling hasnt been all that great across the board. I guess it also depends how much weight you put on a team winning one of the tougher conferences. -
QUOTE (T R U @ Mar 7, 2011 -> 01:17 PM) lmao, Led Zepplin is a 1 seed? Was this tournament committee all in their 70's or something? You dont have to be old to appreciate one of the best if not the best rock band ever.

Anyone play KZ3 with the sharpshooter accessory yet? Thinking about buying it, but wanted some feedback.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 6, 2011 -> 05:19 PM) Well first off, you still have to win the title to be considered as great, and that's a long way off. Even if so though, Ohio State is not a great team. They're really not even all that close to being a great team. I'm not sure how I can tell you they're not great other than the eye test though, because that's kind of how determining a great team works. And since you're a Buckeye fan, you are going to defend them as great and not acknowledge the fact they're not. And quite frankly, you don't have any wins that have overwhelmed me this season other than at Florida. If you're going to go 14-15 on 3's every game though, I like your chances to win it all though. Although honestly, I'd say you're the favorites even if you don't. But you're not a great team, and quite honestly you're not even close to one. The last two UNC teams to win it all would both beat this Ohio State team by 10+ on a neutral, as would both Florida title games. tOSU is the best of a bad lot this year, and we'll see if they take advantage and win it all. The original question had zero to do with Ohio State, so in an effort to keep both the homers and haters at bay, keep them out of th discussion. The original question is why, PRE tournament, do you and others say there are good teams, but no great ones in the country this year, and what is the criteria that a team has to meet to be called a great team? It seems to me this happens every year as people like to look back on previous years like they were ths outstanding crop of teams while the truth is they said the same things about that pool at the time as well. -
I am drunk. I think 90 percet of my extended family called me tonight to say go Bucks. SO GO BUCKS

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Mar 6, 2011 -> 12:34 AM) That UNC team was incredibly talented and none of them turned out to be that good in the NBA(Felton has turned out pretty good this season), great college teams don't always produce much in NBA so to use that as a reason is boneheaded. QUOTE (danman31 @ Mar 6, 2011 -> 12:40 AM) They had 4 losses, but were a number 1 seed and the only teams ahead of them in the polls were Louisville (who had 5 losses) and Memphis (who had 3 and doesn't play in a good conference). I'll say what I said is a decent definition. It's hard to know in advance unless it's a defending champ with the same core like Florida recently (who lost 5 games but had that target on their back all year). So basically there is no reason other than it's this year. Still waiting to find out what a great team is. MY team hasq 2 losses at Wisconsin and at purdue. They have plenty of top 25 rpi wins including on the road. They also have probably 4 NBA players in the lineup. Tell me why they aren't great other than your eye test. -

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Mar 5, 2011 -> 11:39 PM) Additionally, 05 UNC or 05 Illinois would own this year. Why exactly? That ILL team had 1.5 NBA players, why is that so much better than this year? -

QUOTE (danman31 @ Mar 5, 2011 -> 11:01 PM) I'm gonna guess he's saying it's a wire to wire #1 that was THE favorite going into the tourney and then won. I'm not saying whether that's right or wrong, but UNC fits that profile. The comments above were made regardless of the tournament results. I want to know the criteria for what a "great" team is, because it seems like it's an eye test. FYI. 2009 unc had 4 losses to Bc, fsu, Maryland and wf -

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 5, 2011 -> 10:42 PM) Come on Rock, there are no great teams (including Ohio State) and you know it. The only team that had a shot at being great this year was Duke if Irving hadn't have got hurt. I'd say the last "great" team was 2009 North Carolina. I don't think there were any great teams last year either, but people are noticing the poor quality of college hoops in particular this year because the at large pool absolutely sucks and there are 3 more teams making the tournament as well. Blah blah. What qualifies a team as great? -

QUOTE (The Bones @ Mar 5, 2011 -> 05:50 PM) Unless there are some upsets in the conference tourneys, I don't see anyone jumping ahead of them. The field is really weak this year but it should make for an interesting tournament because there aren't any great teams. So in your opinion, what qualifies a team to be called great? -
