  1. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 06:04 PM) this thought just got to my mind. boozer will be a post up player for the bulls, which means Noah will be forced out of the paint more often, where he will attempt to do some catch and shooting. We will see a lot more of those ugly shots from Noah next season. Nah, Noah will camp out on the other block or streaking to the basket for garbage boards and put backs.
  2. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 05:59 PM) Believe me, you'll see. Boozer was a product of that system and Deron Williams. Have you heard of D Rose at all?
  3. I'm holding out hope that somehow the Bulls end up with Evan Turner in all of this.
  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 04:28 PM) Boozer, in 44 playoff games has averaged 23.5 points and 12.5 boards. With Boozer, we put up a much better fight in this past playoffs for sure, the team is alot better with him in the fold.
  5. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 03:38 PM) I think it's way easier with Mo simply because his success is largely because of one pitch. With a guy like Pedro, you would have to deal with his fastball, slider, cuve, and changeup, and that'd be much harder to do. Mariano Rivera threw his cutter 92.9% of the time last year, and it was still an absolutely lethal pitch. That's insane. He's basically a knuckleballer in terms of one pitch all the time. But its BETTER than a knuckleball.
  6. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 03:51 PM) wow, thats the exact number they wanted.Yes, yes it is.
  7. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 03:37 PM) Chad Ford says that the Bulls had Wade, but decided to wait on LeBron. Again, if this is true, this front office disgusts me. Well, they were swinging for the fences based on information they have been getting all along.
  8. QUOTE (zenryan @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 11:52 AM) Shannon has said that he will always keep a ship open for situations like this. Miami is also expecting some kids not to enroll come August from their recruiting class. So that will also help bring the number down to 85. It seems like every year Miami is over the 85 limit but somehow makes to 85 when camp rolls around. He hasnt though, you are so over your limit that you had to sneak a player in on a track scholly which is valid until he plays his first game of football. I think he sticks in out in JUCO for a year then goes to the Canes. Edit: Just checked, 4+Anderson over the limit, but looking like 6 may be ineligible (how is that possible). So he may be able to play if he can somehow slip in.
  9. The Knicks TV market has been completely reeled into the broadcast tomorrow, making the advertising dollars skyrocket.
  10. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 10:40 AM) Chicago makes a ton of sense for any of the big free agents. I suppose there are two ways to look at this really: either the Bulls are some sort of victim because they made this an attractive spot to come to and none of the big guys did, or they didn't do a good enough selling job of how attractive a spot this is. How could they have sold it better?
  11. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 10:37 AM) What should they have done? LBJ hasnt signed yet. Does Chicago not make the most sense for him? If he signs here is up to him but theres only so much you can do. They cleared cap for two big free agents and have 2 stud players in their early 20s already in place. Should we have sent Oprah? Asked Obama to make a call? If you put LeBron on this team with a Boozer/Lee type theyre the favorites in the east, even over the Heat. They created the best scenario out of any other team to lure free agents here but if they dont want to play here for whatever reason thats life. Yes, but they didnt tie up the guys in the basement and torture them until they agreed. Because of that, they are failures.
  12. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 10:31 AM) When he's at Miami and not Ohio State this fall, will you come in here and admit I was right? I don't have a Miami scholarship availabilty chart in front of me, but he's going to be there. I know OSU didnt ask for him back, found that out yesterday. Miami is several players over limit and even had to sneak a player in on a track scholly. They have zero room. He'll have to enroll at JUCO.
  13. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 10:32 AM) Screw "Thibbs", John Paxson, and Gar Forman. What happened to getting an experienced NBA head coach? This is doing to be VDN all over again. Was Byron Scott even interviewed? He's been a coach in the NBA for 20 years and is universally revered in coaching circles around the league. Not even close to VDN.
  14. If you want a capsule of the emotional DNA of Soxtalk, check out the 50 posts after he walked off the field. 99.99999999 percent to I saw him say my elbow popped.
  15. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 10:29 AM) So it's not the Bulls fault they came up empty here? I mean, yeah we're venting our frusterations, and I agree that you can't make anybody come here. But the Bulls are going absolutely nowhere anytime soon now, and regardless of how good of a shot they gave it, this has been a completely failure. And just sitting there and saying oh well isn't good enough. How did they fail then? Did they make a mistake? Did they not trade to get max contracts? Everyone who loses here is a complete failure? The Heat and the Cavs if Bron goes there are the only front offices than deserve to keep their jobs?
  16. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 10:27 AM) Why would Ray Allen leave the Celtics, the team he's won a championship with and feels confortable with, to come to the Bulls? To play with Carlos Boozer, and Luol Deng? And do you really think that this team would compete with Cleveland, Miami or Boston? I don't think so. Yes, because the Celts have just run over the Bulls the last few seasons. The Bulls didnt even belong on the same floor as them.....
  17. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 10:29 PM) He's going to Miami. With what scholarship?
  18. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 10:20 AM) Ha. Byron Scott should be the coach of this team. I guess I'll restart the countdown until the day that John Paxson, Gar Forman and Tom Thibodeau are all fired. I wish Paxson was gone a long time ago. Hopefully this epic failure will finally push him over the edge. Thibbs hasnt even coached ONE game and you want him fired. Hilarious.
  19. Wow, this thread has taken a pathetic turn. Demanding personnel changes because they couldnt lure in a free agent that has several options? It's amazing to me how many of you were personally in on every meeting and know exactly what the Bulls brass offered to the players and any teams in a trade scenario, if only you all could have posted that stuff on twitter over the last week then maybe some accurate info would have actually been out there. I assume most of the comments are people's way of venting their frustration, but at the end of the day, the people that work for the Bulls front office are MUCH more disappointed than you if they come out of this with nothing. They gave it a good shot, made the moves they had to make and gave the players their pitch. These guys are adults and have the ability to choose their fate and where they want to play. If you think a powerpoint presentation or what suits our guys were wearing had any bearing on their decisions than I hope you actually get a job someday and have to sell someone on something.
  20. Henderson leaves USC, reportedly to join the Buckeyes.
  21. I'd like to see this with more pitchers. Pedro in his prime would be nice.
  22. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 02:09 PM) Just throwing it out there: I love my storms virtu-touch keyboard. I can out-type anyone on any phone with my old school brick blackberry. I was better on that than an actual keyboard.
  23. QUOTE (Real @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 10:33 PM) PDcavsinsider Didn't say Rose was anti-LeBron. But the word is preference was Joe Johnson. They have same agent. That is what multiple people tell me. less than 10 seconds ago via TweetDeck I would think LeBron would be anti-noah since they got into it about James's dancing bulls***.
  24. I'm somewhat like SSDOn. Do alot of things with both R and L hands. I eat and write and things like that with my left hand. However I punch, use tools, clean etc with my right. I switch hit and throw with my right hand, but I ski and skate etc with my left foot dominant. I guess I cant make up my mind. I started switch hitting when I was about 11.
