my comment on the game last night: Brilliant coaching for Orlando. From the up tempo style of play at the beginning designed to get Howard the ball down low 1v1 to the play calls at the end. f*** off cleveland.

It sounds to me like economically speaking, they arent doing very well. Of course it would have to be a compelling offer, but Haren to me is the perfect guy for KW to be agressive for. For the second tier, I would say someone like Garland, Penny, Bedard.

The dbacks also (from what I remember) have nothing that looks like an impact arm in their system as of now. Poreda would immediately go to the top of the heap.

If you want to know who KW is really targeting, I would take a look at Dan Haren in AZ. The Dbacks are 11 games back and they will sell off some of those guys. We are in a position to give them 2 sp's in Poreda and Richard and some minor league players for Haren if need be. He is a guy I would like to target. 2007: 3.07 ERA 1.21 WHIP 2008: 3.33 ERA 1.13 WHIP 2009: 2.57 ERA .90 WHIP Salary: 2009: 7.5 2010:8.25 2011:12.75 2012:12.75 2013: 15.5 team option or 3.5 million buyout Thats not a bad commitment.

I hate to say this, but Clayton Richard is better than he is. He wouldnt accept a minor league assignment, so unless he is in our rotation, he's not coming here.
